3 Kinds of Sandwich

05:29, 18 March 2019

Chapter 5

It wasn't as crowded compared to weekdays nor the sun hitting my face and yet little drops of sweat form on the side of my forehead. I'm currently holding a bag of fruit swinging them back and forth in both sides of my legs. My mom always loved shopping on Sunday mornings because there aren't a lot of stalls opened so choices are limited and the number of people shopping can be counted with your fingers. I don't mind shopping with her in this particular day either. You can say it's a lot less troubling. Also I consider it as a part of bonding with my mom.

There were stalls right and left with different choices each or you can say specialties per shop. They were really cheap prices that you can pick with just a right amount of price without breaking your budget. I guess this is one of those things that motherhood really enjoy.

I suddenly imagined myself shopping food for my family. For my husband and kids.

"Husband, huh?"

I suddenly thought of the green haired boy I have been dating now. Him as my husband and having kids with him. Maybe having 2 kids, one girl, one boy, both having green hair that characterizes their dad and maybe even little freckles on their cheek.

Wait! What am I even thinking about? I'm too young to think about this things. But it's normal right? I mean I am in a relationship. I wonder if Deku-kun would want me as his wife.

"Marriage, huh?" I mumbled.

I was suddenly distracted when I saw my mom waving her hand to me directing me to come next to her.

"I have been waving for quite a while now you know. You seem distracted." She pointed.

"I was not. I was just checking some stalls." I argued.

"Why? You want to cook for someone?"

Almost instantly the angry blonde haired boy came to my mind. He said he would help me with my Physics problem and it would be too late. I think it would be good if I give him a peace offering in case he forgets and gets mad or something.

"What is he, some sort of God?" I mumbled a little too loudly.

"God?" my mom said with a confused face.

I immediately put both of my hands in my mouth. Did I say that out loud?

"Ah! That was nothing, hehehe."

"Soooo, you're going to give peace offering to God?"

"What? No! Ah, that was nothing mom! Just uhmm... I, You, Do you know anything I can prepare for late snack? Coz, uhmm... I got to study. Tonight." I said sheepishly.

"Ahhh, so that was it. Well I can just prepare something for you and you can take it."

"NO!!"

"Hey, you don't have to scream." Raising both her hands in surrender.

"Oh! Sorry, I just you know. I want to take advantage of this to learn how to prepare food."

"Ahuh" raising her left brow.

"-and you know I'm in dorm now, I got to learn these little things. So you can just help me with the ingredients." Grinning widely.

She lets out a sigh.

"Fine, fine. You don't have to be so... Weird."

"I was not."

"Yes you were." She said while patting my head.

I just surrendered my argument with puffed cheeks and pout lip.

I think things are going great for now.

It's currently 9 in the evening and I managed to make 3 kinds of sandwich. I wonder if he'll like this. I fidgeted around the kitchen sink thinking what I can do more.

Wait! Why am I even thinking too much about this? It's just tutoring and it's just Bakuguo-kun. Yeah, nothing to be worried about. And what is with the sandwiches? Why did I even make this? Well because I'm hungry, that's why. Well you don't have to make 3 kinds though. And they are exactly 2 piece each. This is too obvious isn't it? Well, I'm just trying to be nice. Nothing wrong with being nice. And you said it yourself Uraraka, these are peace offering. YES! Peace offering. That is all to this. Nothing else.

*sigh

I slouched back in the sink behind me crossing my arms in my chest while closing both my eyes.

"Is everything okay Ochaco-chan?"

I quickly looked up and saw my frog-like friend.

"Asui-san! I didn't know you're still awake."

"Well I was about to sleep but I felt thirsty, so I was going to get some drink." She exclaimed.

"Ah," I made my way to the refrigerator and opened it suddenly remembering those bright red eyes that reflected from the light last night.

*BANG

I immediately closed the refrigerator door with more strength that intended. Not realizing I was staring on the refrigerator with wide eyes.

"Are you alright Ochaco-chan?" she asked worriedly.

"O-of course I'm alright. I just... I thought I saw a weird drink. Hihihihi"

"A weird drink?" raising one of her brows.

"Ahahahaha! I don't know really. Here, I got you milk." Reaching to her the drink.

"Uhmmm... are you really alright Ochaco-chan?"

"Yeah! Don't worry about me." Rubbing the nape of my neck.

"You sure? Because this isn't milk you know." Raising the bottle in front of her face.

"What?" I took the drink from her hand and slowly the milk that I saw earlier became an energy drink. It has a yellow bottle cap and a yellow colored drink stating Vitamin Water in the packaging. It was the exact replica of what he was drinking last night.

Did I grab this? How did I even think for a second that this was milk?

"I- I guess I'm not alright." I said while still looking at the drink.

Asui-san made her way beside me. "You can tell me anything Ochaco-chan." Giving me a really warm smile.

"Well I uhmmm... I was uhmmm... well there's this thing that's been-."

Is this really something to be bothered about? Yes yesterday was an incredibly bugging day filled with that boy. And there are times that he just pops out in my head. But that's not really unexpected isn't it? It all just happened yesterday. Well what did exactly? His gaze? His touch? His voice? Why am I thinking too much about this? So what if I mistook a drink on another? Isn't it justifiable?

For some reason no words came out of my mouth. I just kept looking around me searching for something. Searching for what exactly?

I noticed that Asui-san was still waiting for my answer. I don't think I should make a big deal about this. If I do, it will be bigger than it is supposed to.

"Nothing really." I gave her a big grin.

"Nothing to worry about Asui-san! I was just teasing you HAHAHAHA!" patting her back.

"Ah-" scratching her head "Alright Ochaco-chan. But if there's anything you want to say, I'm here to listen."

"Alright! Alright! But really nothing to worry about!" unnoticing the rising pitch from my voice.

"Okay Ochaco-chan." She approved "I'll be going to my room now."

"Yeah, have a good night Asui-san." Walking beside her up to the foot of the staircase.

"Ah! And also thank you for tonight Asui-san." Waving at her in the distance.

"Anytime Ochaco-chan!" She said while waving back.

I was still looking at the top of the stair when.

"What are you thanking her for?" A whisper came into my ear.

That voice.

I speedily turned my head to the direction of the whisper. There it is. Those crimson eyes that instantly traps my gaze into, unable to utter any words.

He stood uprightly leaving my gaze.

That was fast.

I slowly looked up at him and noticed that he was facing the staircase. His face was calm once again. No brows creased, no pouted lips, no scary eyes. Just him. Bare. Unmasked.

I don't mind if time passed just like this. Standing inches away from each other. No words being said.

This delicate silence.
