Heaven and Hell

23:40, 16 May 2015

There was an Angel by the name of Anna that had stopped being an Angel long ago. She had taken out her Grace and fell from Heaven to Earth. She had been Castiel, Uriel's and my superior before she had fallen from grace, before she had disobeyed.

And disobeying, for an Angel, meant that you could be sentenced to death.

There was a price out for Anna's head.

And she had fallen right into the Winchesters' lap.

I didn't want to hurt her or them, but orders were orders if I didn't want to end up just like her.

So we tracked them down to a cabin in the middle of the woods, hearing them speak inside as the electricity started to flicker due to our presence.

"They're coming," Anna told them.

"Back room," Dean told them.

"Where's the knife?" a girl's voice asked.

"Uh, about that..." Dean trailed off.

"You're kidding," the girl told them.

"Hey, don't look at me," Dean told her.

"Thanks a lot," Sam told him sarcastically.

"Great," the girl told them sarcastically. "Just peachy. Impeccable timing, guys, really."

The door rattled violently, bursting open.

*

Castiel, Uriel and I walked in to see Sam and Dean aiming shot guns at us, waiting.

The girl was standing next to them, her eyes turning black, revealing herself to be a Demon.

"Please tell me you're here to help," Dean told us. "We've been having demon issues all day."

Uriel looked at the Demon. "Well, I can see that. You want to explain why you have that stain in the room?"

"We're here for Anna," I told them.

"Here for her, like... here for her?" Dean asked.

"Stop talking," Uriel told them. "Give her to us."

"Are you gonna help her?" Sam asked.

"No," Castiel answered. "She has to die."

Sam and Dean looked at us in confusion.

*

Sam shook his head in confusion. "You want Anna? Why?"

"Out of the way," I told them.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Sam told us. "Okay, I know she's wiretapping your Angel chats or whatever, but it's no reason to gank her."

"Don't worry," Uriel told them. "I'll kill her gentle."

"You're some heartless sons of bitches, you know that?" Dean asked.

"As a matter of fact, we are," Castiel told them. "And?"

"And?" Sam repeated. "Anna's an innocent girl."

"She is far from innocent," I told them.

"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam asked.

"It means she's worse than this abomination you've been screwing," Uriel told them. "Now give us the girl."

Dean and Sam exchanged a look, knowing what their answer was.

Dean looked at Uriel. "Sorry. Get yourself another one. Try JDate."

"Who's gonna stop us?" Uriel asked. He looked at Sam and Dean. "You two?" He looked at the demon woman. "Or this demon whore?"

Uriel used magic to throw the demon woman against a wall, making her fall to the floor, grabbing her by her throat, pinning her against the wall, about to touch her head.

Dean advanced on Uriel.

Uriel turned to Dean, catching his wrist, punching him in the face.

I walked toward Sam.

"Octavia, stop," Sam told me. "Please."

I touched two fingers against Sam's forehead, making him fall unconscious.

Uriel punched Dean in the face, making him fall to the floor. "I've been waiting for this."

I looked at Sam's unconscious body numbly.

Castiel stepped toward the back room where we knew Anna would be.

A bright light suddenly engulfed Castiel, Uriel and me, making us disappear, the spell sending us away.

*

The Winchesters, their demon and Anna were hiding themselves with hex bags.

Uriel had to visit Dean Winchester in his sleep just to find them, using... unorthodox threats.

We walked toward the barn in the middle of nowhere where they were to be, hearing Sam, Dean and Anna speaking inside.

"I don't know, guys," Sam told them. "Where's Ruby?"

"Hey, she's your Hell buddy," Dean told him.

"Little early for that, isn't it?" Anna asked.

"It's 2:00 AM somewhere," Dean told them.

"You okay?" Sam asked.

"Yeah, of course," Dean told them.

Castiel, Uriel and I walked in.

I looked at Anna in regret. "Hello, Anna. It's good to see you."

"How?" Sam asked. "How did you find us?" We looked at Dean. Dean and Castiel looked down. "Dean?"

Dean looked at Anna. "I'm sorry."

"Why?" Sam asked.

"Because they gave him a choice," Anna answered. "They either kill me... or kill you, Sam. I know how their minds works." She kissed Dean goodbye. "You did the best you could. I forgive you." Dean looked down. Anna turned to Castiel, Uriel and me. "Okay. No more tricks. No more running. I'm ready."

*

I looked at Anna. "I'm sorry."

"No, you're not," Anna told me. "You don't know the feeling."

"Still," I told her. "We have a history. It's just—"

"Orders are orders," Anna finished. "I know. Just make it quick."

Three demons walked in, dragging with them a bleeding, beat version of the female demon that had been with Sam, Dean and Anna last night.

The one they seemed to be following looked at Castiel, Uriel and me. "Don't you touch a hair on that poor girl's head."

Uriel walked past Sam, Dean and Anna, toward the demons angrily. "How dare you come in this room..." Sam, Dean, Anna and their demon got out of the way. "You pussing sore?"

"Name-calling," the first demon told him sarcastically. "That hurts my feelings... you sanctimonious, fanatical prick."

I walked forward, standing to Uriel's left, looking at the demons. "Turn around and walk away now."

"Sure," the first demon told us. "Just give us the girl. We'll make sure she gets punished good and proper."

Castiel walked forward, standing on the other side of Uriel, looking at the demons. "You know who we are and what we will do. We won't say it again. Leave now... or we lay you to waste."

"Think I'll take my chances," the first demon told us.

I grabbed one of the other demons, pushing him against a wooden support beam, making it break.

The third demon tried to attack Uriel. Uriel backhand punched him across the face, making him fall to the ground.

Castiel punched the first demon in the face repeatedly, putting a hand on his head, trying to smite him, but nothing happened.

"Sorry, kiddo," the first demon told him. "Why don't you go run to Daddy?"

The first demon pushed Castiel's arm aside, punching him in the face, making him fall to the ground, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.

I pinned the second demon to the beam, placing a hand on his head, smiting him, making him glow with white light as he screamed and died, letting the body fall.

The first demon held Castiel against the ground, starting to chant. "Potest inferna, me confirma. Potestas inferna, me confirma. Potestas inferna, me confirma." Dean hit the first demon in the head with a crowbar, making him let Castiel go and fall to the ground. The first demon stood, turning to face him. "Dean, Dean, Dean... I am so disappointed in you. You had such promise."

Sam looked at the first demon in confusion.

Dean glared at the first demon, backing away.

The first demon used magic to cause Sam and Dean agony, making them fall to their knees.

I smote the other demon, killing him with a bright flash of white light, letting the body fall.

Anna saw her Grace hanging around Uriel's neck on a necklace, ripping it from his neck.

"No!" Uriel told her.

Anna threw the pendant to the ground, making it shatter, releasing the Grace and white flight flow into her mouth. "Shut your eyes. Shut your eyes! Shut your eyes!"

Bright light came out from Anna's body.

Sam and Dean covered their eyes until the light faded.

When the light faded, Anna and the first demon had disappeared.

A knife was on the ground.

Dean looked at Castiel, Uriel and me. "Well, what are you guys waiting for? Go get Anna. Unless, of course, you're scared."

"This isn't over," Uriel told them.

"Oh, it looks over to me, junkless," Dean told him.

Uriel glared at Dean, disappearing, leaving.

Castiel and I exchanged a look, knowing that this had been their plan the whole time, following Uriel.

Yes, Anna had her Grace back. She was an Angel again.

But did that mean we didn't have to kill her?

That depended on if we could find her.

And, truthfully...

I didn't want to find her.
