Dawn's P.O.V

I heard her gasp. "You?!" She exclaimed. I thought it was funny how I heard two voices instead of one. And how the other voice was a guys.

I peeked out from our bedroom door and saw my cousin.

Ash Ketchum

"Ashy!" I shouted, running to embrace him. I haven't seen my raven-haired cousin since what? Since we were ten? I pulled him into a hug and he wrapped his arms around me affectionately. I noticed he hadn't said anything and looked up to see him staring at Misty. I glanced back at her and saw she was doing the same. I stood back with my mom and watched them. We snickered. The two idiots looked like they were having a staring contest. Finally, my mom coughed to show we were still here and they snapped out of whatever world they were living in.

Misty blushed and looked down while Ash tried to brush it off as if it was nothing. I looked at Ash's hat and mentally slapped myself. That was what was so familiar about that guy from earlier! The one who crashed in at our rehearsal! How could I forget?! His mom had made him that hat and he had worn it ever since.

Now don't get me wrong. Misty thought I was trying to flirt with him earlier when I giggled. But that is not the case! I just think it's cute when guys are clumsy! Like that time when Paul tripped over a twig walking over to me. So cute.

I sighed happily thinking about that. Then I remembered something and pulled out my phone. I scrolled up my photos and saw they were pictures of Misty and that stranger just standing there on the sidewalk. I zoomed in closer and saw the hat. I smiled smugly.

It was Ash.

I laughed and Misty and Ash looked at me weirdly. Just like my cousin, I tried to brush it off as if it were nothing. "No need to worry!" I said. Mom smiled and also pulled Ash into a hug. "Ash! How have you been? I haven't seen you in forever!" Mom gushed, squeezing him until he had to pull at her arms to remind her he had to breathe. Ash tried to catch his breath and color restored his cheeks. "W-what are you talking about...Tita Johanna?"

((I'm from the Phillipines and that is how they say aunt over there. That is how I grew up saying Aunt so don't judge me if I call her Tita Johanna. Just my way of life))

He asked. "I saw you yesterday..." "Oh yes yes! I forgot! Silly me!" Mom said. "Would you like something to snack on? Dinner is almost ready!" She said walking over to the small kitchen. "No thanks Tita. I'm good." He said and sat down on one of the couches. I had noticed Misty was being oddly quiet and I saw her eyes were silently watching eyes. Her head barely moving.

So Misty is into Ash? I can help with that. I laughed. I added a little evil accent to give it more dramatics but mom had just asked if there was something in my throat. Clearly, they don't know me well enough to know that was my best evil laugh that I had been practicing on! I looked over at Misty for support and she just gave me a small smile. Grr.

ASH'S P.O.V

I'm sitting in my Aunt's little apartment trying to watch the news on t.v. God it's so hard when you've got your cousin who you haven't seen in forever and her friend. I studied Dawn's friend. With her flame orange hair in a childish ponytail, her bright yellow sweatshirt, and her dark jeans, she wasn't the most fashionable girl I've ever seen. She sorta looked like...

Aha! Yes! Dawn's friend, Misty! How could I forget her? Always being loud and obnoxious in her bright colored clothes. I remember as a kid telling myself to stay away from her at all costs.

I observed as Misty brushed her bangs at of her face and the slight, red tinge on her cheeks. Maybe she'd changed. She looked a little...cute? 'Wait no. Shake that thought from your head, Ash! This is Misty we are talking about. The annoying little girl in her...her cute little sweat shirt, the way she dug her face into it, and her hair in that cute messy ponytail...wait what am I thinking!' I thought. Shaking my head to take away the thought. 'Better not think that again.' I thought, turning my attention back to the t.v.

I caught Dawn eyeing my suspiciously. If I correctly, Dawn could sniff out any sort of attraction. Not that this was attraction or...or anything! Ugh keep it together Ketchum.

Suddenly I felt something pulling at my hoodie. "Ow ow! What the heck!" I yelled, jumping up. I turned around and it was my stupid cousin winking at me. "Come on Ashy! Wanna check out the stuff we brought from Sinnoh?" She asked me. "No." I replied. Dawn started to pout and I sighed. "Fine. Whatever." Dawn clapped her hands cheerfully and walked into her room and Misty followed. I walked over into the small room. I remember having to sleep here before because my mom....died...

Ugh! What's with all the weird thoughts Ketchum? Focus!

I pep talked myself and looked around. It was small with a closet on one side and a tiny window on the other. I noticed the bed had two suitcases. Oh. Misty was staying here too?

I felt like smiling on the inside but held it back. I have to see how she turned out first.

I flung my arm around Misty and pulled her close. "Hey Mist! How's it been? Haven't see you in what? Seven years? I've missed ya!" I said, cheerfully. Dawn raised her eyebrow at me but said nothing. Misty on the other hand, was blushing a nice red. I frowned slightly. Hmm. The old Misty would've-

*SLAP*

I fell onto the the bed and my hand flew to my now burning red cheek. "What the heck!" I shouted. Misty still had her hand up from when she slapped me and she looked furious. "Don't touch me you creep! I don't care if you're Dawn's cousin or not! I don't want you all touchy-feely with me as if we're best friends!" She shouted. Dawn and I looked at her in surprise. She didn't recognize me? That hurt a bit and not because she slapped me.

Dawn walked friskly over to Misty. "Misty? A-Are you ok?" She asked, reluctantly. Misty put down her hand. "Uh...s-sorry Dawn. I...I don't know what came over me..." She said quietly. She walked out the door and came back with an ice pack. "Um...here..." She muttered, handing me the Pokemon shaped ice pack. At first I didn't want to take it but I smiled because it was a Pikachu. I have a Pikachu plushie toy that mom had given me right before she died and we would play with it.

I sighed and took the ice pack. "Thanks." I said, putting it on my swollen cheek and winced. Shoot. She noticed and cringed. Dang. I made her feel bad. I looked down. Even though she had slapped me, I still felt bad for pressuring her. I'm not even sure she would remember me. It WAS seven years ago...I don't blame her for not remembering. "Sorry" I said. Surprisingly, she said it as well. We looked at each other awkwardly. There was silence and the occasional stares from Dawn as she wondered when we were gonna make a move. Or something like that. I guess since I'm the guy, I should say something right? I opened my mouth to ask her if I could treat her out but again she surprised me. "I uh I have some money left from the trip here. So uh would you like to go maybe go out for ice cream or something? My treat! Promise!" She said, rummaging around her little handbag. I smiled and nodded. "Sure. Why not." I said. I stood up and went to sit on the couch. I felt a smile try to creep up but I forced it back down. I barely know her yet!

I'm not sure but I think I'm gonna like this.

MISTY'S P.O.V

*THE NEXT DAY!!!*

I woke up with a sleeping Dawn crowding my space on the bed and I almost fell over. Luckily, the bed wasn't that far from the floor and I caught myself before earning a bruise today.

I got up and went to make some breakfast. I forgot we were now living with Dawn's mom and was sorta shocked that she was there already up and held a plate of hot and syrupy pancakes with a slice of butter dripping down from the top. I sighed as I smelled the delicious air around me. Perfect.

"Good morning Tita!" I smiled. She beamed a smiled back at me. "Oh! Good morning Misty! Have a seat! I just made pancakes!" She said, gesturing to a seat near the dining table. I pulled out a chair and sat down. I looked out the window. It was pretty early in the morning but there was still a bunch of cars and people outside. It was a bit foggy. Maybe I should go look for my mom's grave today.

I heard the door swing open and saw Ash walk in. He had on his familiar red and white cap with the little green l. Or maybe it was a check mark? Whatever. He waved to Aunt Johanna and took the seat across from me. He smiled at me. I thought he would say good morning or at least hello but apparently not because he just looked back at his phone. Hmph. Fine. Be rude. "Good morning." I said, stiffly. He glanced up at me without turning his attention from his phone. "Morning." He said, looking back down. I sighed. Whatever. I put my chin in my hand and watched Aunt Johanna set down a plate of pancakes. She set down three plates around it with a fork adorning them. "Would you mind waking up Dawnie please, Misty?" Aunt Johanna asked. "Sure" I stood up and swiftly walked through the the open door. I yanked the blanket off of Dawn. "Wake up Dawn..." I said. She grumbled. "Go away." I crossed my arms. "I have my mallet..." I said softly. Immediately, she sprang up. When she looked at my empty hands, she slouched back down. "You're mean." She groaned. "Thanks" I smiled, "Now get up" She laid there for a few seconds. I grabbed my mallet from my side of the bed and she jumped. "Ok ok! Fine!" She said. She threw off her pajamas and changed into a red minidress and white knee high boots. She threw on a white scarf too. She looked better than I did. Well of course she did. She was Dawn.

But just so I wouldn't look sloppy, I put on some yellow shorts and a red tank top. And I added a yellow crop top with blue buttons and a blue collar. I put my hair up in the usual side ponytail and looked at my myself in the mirror. I didn't look as cute as Dawn but I was close enough.

I went out with Dawn and noticed that the plate of pancakes was gone. Ash was wiping his mouth from something and I went and pulled at his hands. "H-Hey!" He exclaimed. I looked down and saw a brown liquid spreading across his hands. I took my hands away and heard a swick as my hands pulled away slowly. I looked down at my own hands. I gradually pulled and pushed my fingers together and watched them pull apart slowly. I licked the tip of my finger. Sweet.

My emerald green eyes blazed as I realized what happened when I went to get Dawn. "ASH!" I yelled. "YOU ATE OUR BREAKFAST!" I took out my mallet and was about to slam his head but Dawn dragged me away. I saw her sweat dropping as she tried to calm me down. Ash stood up. "Are you crazy?!" He asked me. "It's just a fricking pancake!" I clamped my mouth shut so I wouldn't bite his head off and restrained myself. "No...I...have anger issues..." I mumbled. It was true. I got mad at Daisy, Violet, and Lily when they were a minute late at picking me up at school when I was eleven. His face was flushed as he sat back down. He muttered something that I couldn't make out entirely but I caught bits of "crazy" and "mad woman". I didn't blame him for thinking that. I bowed to him and Aunt Johanna. "Sorry. I guess I'm just a bit jumpy today. I'm sorry." I apologized. Aunt Johanna said it was nothing and that Dawn and I should go look for jobs today. Unfortunately, Ash was coming with us which was why he was here. I groaned and he glared at me. I quickly turned away, avoiding his gaze.

Ugh. Well. Let's hope I don't claw his eyes out...

Ok yay! Sorry that this is short but I just started high school so my next parts might be short or long. Who knows? This was not a filler. Sorta. Anyways since high school is here, I can only update on the weekends so once a week I will update. I'll try to update both of my recent ones like this one and Juvia's Diary. Go me! Thanks!
