Chapter Fifteen: Day With Dave

Caroline's outfit is Taylor's in begin again music video by the way (: I just love that song,video,the outfits and Taylor Swift too of course

The next morning my phone would not stop it's annoying buzzing. Groaning I picked it up off my side table answering it.

"Hello?" I groggily greeted whoever was calling me

A melodic laugh filled my ears "Well don't you sound cheery in the morning."

Sitting up I ran a hand through my messy blonde curls "Oh no, I'm so, so sorry. Listen let me get all not gross from that party and I'll meet you at Starbucks."

"It's fine Care chill out, I just got out of a meeting with my manager anyways." Dave said no doubt smiling

Breathing a sigh of relief I smiled "Thats good then I assume?"

"Yup, I'll tell you more when I see you. Now go get yourself ready and meet me at Starbucks like we planned."

"I'm already one step ahead of you, bye Dave." I hung up after he said goodbye

After my shower, I brushed my hair and teeth. Walking back into my room, I stood in front of my closet in my favorite red towel deciding what to wear. It was far to hot today for jeans today, so I picked out a floral skirt with a blue shirt along with my cat faced flats which Dalton bought me. Pulling my flat iron out I ran it through my hair making my hair pin straight and longer. Doing my usual makeup routine I was finally ready.

"Where are you going?" Dalton asked me

Grabbing my purse I stuck my phone and wallet inside it "To Starbucks, Dave wants to know me better or whatever since I'm dating his brother."

"Hmm, well have fun." he smiled going back to his iPad.

(3rd person P.O.V)

"She's great you'll lover her." James told his brother over the phone

"She seems great already. I'll call you later man, she's here now." Dave hung up smiling at Caroline who walked over to him

She smiled shyly at him "Hey, sorry it took me so long. I wasn't sure what I should wear." she laughed

Dave couldn't help but smile at her laugh "Trying to impress me?" he teased

"I'm just use to wearing sweaters and jeans. But sure we'll go with me trying to impress you." she winked taking her seat across from him

"I'll get you a coffee, what do you want?"

"It's autumn so anything pumpkin flavored is fine." she shrugged

Dave felt something inside him as soon as he seen Caroline walk through the door with such an innocent look on her face. And that laugh made him laugh or smile along with her. He had to admit his brother was a lucky man, but he couldn't help but feel so guilty that he might be attracted to her.

"Thank you." Caroline smiled when he put her drink down in front of her

"So tell me about yourself." Dave urged

The blonde before him bit her red painted lips "Well I love writing, my favorite color is red and I love cats." she laughed at the last part

His face seemed to instantly light up "You love cats?" he asked as she nodded "That's great because I love cats."

Caroline couldn't help but burst into a fit of giggles "You love cats seriously? I've never met a guy before who loves cats."

Dave laughed with her, his head going back like he was a child "What can I say I'm not like most guys."

"You Franco's sure are full of surprises." she said sipping her coffee

"How about you? There's got to be something that'll surprise me Miss Taylor."

"Well..." she started nervous about telling her boyfriends brother she hadn't even told James "I sing and play guitar."

Dave's brown eyes grew bright with interest "Really now? That's surprising."

"It's a secret though so keep it between us."

"No problem. So are you into records?"

Caroline couldn't contain her excitement "Are you seriously kidding? I love records I didn't think anyone listened to them anymore."

"I do, there's something about the way they sound." he sat back in his chair

"I love my jazz records from the 20's oh and my records from the 40's." She blushed "Billie Holiday is my absolute favorite."

Dave ran a hand through his brown hair "A jazz girl very nice. You like music from today though right?"

"Of course I'm big on girl bands Little Mix, Fifth Harmony and the Saturdays. Not to mention single artists Ariana Grande,Cher Lloyd,Lady GaGa,Katy Perry and Demi Lovato their like women empowering." she explained sitting up straight

Dave took notice that whenever Caroline was interested in a subject she'd sit up more or her eyes would sparkle "You love music don't you?" he asked

"Music had always been there for me." she looked out the window "When my mom, um left all I had was my music."

"I'm sorry Caroline."

Shaking her head she shrugged a small smile on her lips "No,no apologizes it's fine believe me."

The silence to Caroline almost felt like the silence between her and James when she told him about her mother. It wasn't an awkward silence it was more of an understanding silence.

"I have good news, I got a contract to be in 22 jump street." Dave broke the silence

Caroline's blue eyes lite up "That's awesome I loved 21 jump street so a sequel is amazing."

Before Dave could say anything, Caroline's iPhone buzzed on the table "Sorry." she blushed seeing it was a number from Australia pushing ignore she looked back up at him

"Ignoring some crazy ex boyfriend or something?" he jokingly asked

"Probably my crazy mother." she joked back

He shook his head looking at his phone "Well Caroline it was a lovely two hours spent with you, however I must be going."

"Thank you for hanging out with me and not being judgmental." She stood up along with him "We've got to do this again sometime."

"I agree. I'll call you later." He grinned hugging her

Releasing him from the hug Caroline grabbed her bag and empty coffee cup throwing it in the trash on her way out. Once in her car Caroline realized she had a funny feeling in her stomach when he touched her "Get it together Caroline you've got James." She whispered to herself

"Wait, wait let me get this straight you have a thing for your brothers girl?" Dave's friend Collin asked over the phone

"I said might. And it's probably just a crush anyways man, no need to worry." Dave replied before ending the call "I hope it's just a crush." he mumbled to himself

(Caroline's P.O.V)

"Close your eyes give me your hand darlin' do you feel my heart beating do you understand? Do you feel the same am I only dreaming is this burning an eternal flame." I sang along with the song that came on my iPod while I unpacked some dishes in the kitchen

"Yeah no, please no more of that song." Dalton shook his head turning the song "

Glaring at my brother I walked over to my iPod switching the song back "It's a classic song bro. Leave it or I'll..."

"You'll what?" he asked stepping closer so we nose to nose

We both broke into a fit of giggles "Okay that was great we should act." I declared

"So how was your date with Dave?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows at me while sitting on the counter

"First of all no sitting on the counter and second of all it wasn't a date he just wanted to get to know me." I explained

Dalton rolled his eyes at me "Hmm sure whatever you say oh innocent sister of mine."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I asked curious

"Come on Caroline you're 23 years old, you're no saint." he explained smirking "You do the naughty don't lie."

Scrunching up my nose I looked at him "Ugh, you're disgusting the world does not revolve around sex bro."

"Sometimes it does." he mumbled looking at my phone "Hey Care, how does a party sound next Friday. Smiley face Dave."

Snatching my phone away from him I read the message and in fact it did say that smiling I texted back 'A party sounds fun!'

"You're so gonna be in a love triangle sis. Oh maybe you'll be like Elena with Damon and Stefan." He laughed hopping off the counter
