Chapter Fourteen: LA Parties

Saturday came finally, Dalton and I were on the plane to LA which just landed. LA weather was much hotter and nicer then New York.

"I see two potential girlfriends for me already." Dalton said eyeing two bleach blonde girls with perfect sun kissed skin.

"Yeah, no they're too old for you dear." I said pulled his arm away from the girls "We need to find Seth."

He sighed annoyed but didn't argue with me as we went to find Seth. We looked around for a few minutes not spotting him.

"I can't believe he's doing this again." I said running an irritated hand through my curly mop of hair "This is the second time."

Someone tapped my shoulder lightly, I turned around to see Seth a smile on his face "Caroline you're here!"

I rolled my eyes at him before hugging my best friend "Of course I'm here. Where else would I be?" I asked pulling away

"I don't know." he shrugged before turning his full attention to Dalton "I would say what's up little man but, you aren't so little any more."

Dalton laughed him as Seth doing that annoying bro-hug thing "I'm sixteen now I sure hope I'm not little anymore." he joked

"Everything is all set up at your apartment. If you need anything call me or James." Seth explained walking us to the car ignoring all the paparazzi.

"You didn't tell James I was here did you?" I question once we were in the car

Seth shook his head "Nope, I'm having a welcome to LA Caroline party tonight by the way."

"Aww how sweet." I grinned pulling my sunglasses down over my eyes "You aren't really calling it that though are you?"

He turned his face to me slightly before focusing back on the road, a laugh escaping his lips "Nope, I'm very creative though aren't I?"

"Oh yeah the most creative man alive." I retorted shaking my head curls falling into my face "What time shall I expect you?"

"Probably eight." he replied

Around seven I decided to get ready for the party mostly because Dalton suggested it by using one of my favorites quotes for the Vampire Diaries. I'll tell you how it all went.

I was laying on the couch watching tv, Pretty Little Liars to be exact when Dalton sprung the quote on me.

"What's this?" I asked as he threw a garment bag at me which held a dress inside.

"Get dressed, you're all road trippy and gross." he said sitting on the chair across from the couch

A laugh escaped my lips "You're cool bro quoting Vampire Diaries."

Yup thats how it happened. Now, I was putting my hair up in a braided bun, which took me about three years to actually perfect. After my hair was done I moved on to my make up which consisted of mascara, cat eyeliner, natural looking eyeshadow and finally to make everything pop my signature red lipstick. Moving on now to my outfit, I slipped into a creme colored dress which was snug at the top then came down so it was loose.

"You look wow." Dalton said looking up from his phone "Oh shoes you're red ones are the ones I suggest."

Knitting my eyebrows together I gave him a weird look "Um thank you?"

He gave me a crazed look then realized what he said "I spend way to much time around girls." he groaned

Laughing at my little brother I slipped on my red stiletto shoes. Right on time to because Seth was here.

The party was extremely amazing, there were a few people I met prior to this party. Thankfully Emma was one of them that I knew.

"Caroline! Hey I haven't seen you in forever." Emma grinned her British accent sounding the same as last time

"Last time I seen you was during the summer time." I replied hugging her "I'm sure you hear, I'm living in LA now with my brother Dalton."

She nodded her head "Sure,sure, I follow your sister on twitter." she laughed embarrassed "She tweeted it and then Seth told me about the party for you."

Dalton was sitting on one of the couch in between a brunette and a raven haired guy. He reminded me Charlie from Perks of Being a Wallflower. He just looked awkward.

"Is that your brother?" Emma asked pointing right to him

I nodded biting my lip "Yup that's him."

A smile came across her red painted lips "Oh he's just too cute. Mind if I dance with him?" she asked

Shrugging my shoulder I said "Go for it. Heads up he has a huge crush on you." I winked

Handing me her red plastic cup she walked over to him. He looked shocked and then smiled before walking off with her to dance. My brother was with his childhood crush this was so cute.

"Hey beautiful, what are you doing alone?" a voice asked from behind me

"I've got a boyfriend." I replied rolling my eyes not even bothering to see who it was.

A familiar laugh came from behind her "Geez Caroline good to know you don't flirt with guys who aren't my brother." Dave said

I laughed and a blush rose to my cheeks "Um, sorry about that. I'm not usually that rude." I apologized

He shrugged a smile still on his face "It's fine, do you want a drink?"

"Yeah I'd love one." I grinned setting Emma's cup down and following him out to the kitchen. Leaning on the counter I crossed my arms over my chest "Have you heard from James?"

"I talked to him on Friday. Are you guys fighting or something?" He asked "Not that it's any of my business? Dave quickly added

Laughing I shook my head "No,no of course we aren't I was only curious. I haven't talked to him in awhile." I took a sip of my drink he handed me then shook my head "Wow that makes me sound clingy."

"It just makes you sound like a concerned girlfriend. Since you and my brother are getting serious so fast, I want us to get to know each other better." Dave said looking at me with familiar eyes like James.

I nodded "Yeah, sounds good to me. I mean what kind of relationship would I have if I didn't get to know my boyfriends brother." I smiled politely

"Good, how's Starbucks sound? Tomorrow at nine?" he asked hopeful

"It sounds wonderful. Why don't you text me tomorrow morning so I don't forget." I laughed at my forgetful self

We exchanged phone numbers and we went our separate ways at the party. Emma was still talking to my brother and I was sure he was enjoying every second with her.

"Eating your problems away is a sign of depression you know." the familiar voice I loved said from beside me

I smiled and threw my arms around his neck "James I've missed you so much."

"I've missed you too." he replied laughing his trademark laugh "You look gorgeous by the way."

My reply was me kissing him, when I pulled away I smiled "I'm sorry, I just needed that."

James looked into my eyes, his gorgeous brown ones peering into my blue ones "Have you gotten more beautiful since I've left? Wait is that possible?"

I giggled and blushed "Come dance with me." I said grabbing his hand and pulling him toward where everyone else was dancing just as Cher Lloyd's With Ur Love came on.

"Dancing is not one of my strong suites." James chuckled

"Improvise then." I shouted over the music

Midnight rolled around and I was buzzed which was not like me. However I was having a killer time and I think I deserved it.

"I love this song!" Emma shouted next to me as Dirty Love by Ke$ha ft Iggy Pop came on

"Lets dance to it!" I shouted and we moved to the middle of the dance floor

Dalton and James watched Emma and I with amused looks on their faces. Neither one of us cared because we were far to busy singing and dancing. Once the song ended we fell into each other in a fit of giggles.

"My management is going to kill me." Emma giggled finishing off whatever she was drinking

"You know what's actually going to kill us?" I questioned and she raised an eyebrow in response "A hangover tomorrow!" I yelled throwing my arms in the air. James walked over to us and I couldn't quite understand his facial expression "Why hello James darling." I greeted him

"We need to get you home Caroline." James said gently taking my hand in his "See you later Emma" he nodded at her

"Farewell my love, until next time." Emma said to me kiss my cheek

I laughed shaking my head "I shall never forget this moment." I said to her as James pulled me in a different direction "Where's Dalton?" I asked

"Waiting for us in the car love." James responded as we walked outside the chill LA autumn air sending chills all over my body "You're cold." he stated handing me his jacket which I put on.

"I have plans with your brother tomorrow. We're getting Starbucks!" I smiled happily as he helped me in the front seat

"Well those plans might need rescheduling." James smiled showing off his perfect teeth

Sighing happily I laid my head on the window "I love you guys." I hummed as he drove down the street

Dalton was laughing in the back "We love you to Care."

Turning on the radio I scanned through all the stations until I came across Last Friday Night by Katy Perry "I love this song!" I said turning it up and singing along "This Friday night, do it all again." I sang finishing the song out

James looked at me out of the corner of his eye "You're a fun drunk." he laughed, crinkles appearing by his eyes that I loved so much.

Yawning I set my head against the cold window. My eyes felt heavy and I finally gave in to sleep.
