JAERYEONG POV

"My ring symbol... It's Gone?" I said

"Kihyun got in a car accident!" Dani said

My eyes widened..

["If one partner dies, the other partner would know by noticing the disappearance of the symbol on the finger"]

N-No way...

Kihyun.. You can't be dead..

"Where... Where is Kihyun now?!" I exclaimed

"He already got transferred to a hospital. I don't know where! Wonho just found out about the accident" Dani said

My phone started to vibrate..

I looked at my phone and saw the Emergency Number..

"Y-Yobeoseyo?" I answered

["Annyeonghaseyo, I am a nurse from ***** Hospital. I would like to ask if you are related to Mr. Yoo Kihyun. I called you as you were the last person he contacted"]

"N-Neh I am. I'm his girlfriend. C-Can you tell me what happened?" I asked

["Mr. Yoo was hit by another driver when he was in a taxi. The driver is currently being tracked down by the police. It was a hit and run"]

My eyes widened..

"H-How is he?" I asked

["That... I am not sure of yet. The results have not come out"]

"I'm.. heading there now" I said

I hung up.

A hit and run?

I clenched my phone tightly..

Why did things turn out this way?

"I know where he is guys" I said

I ran to the according room that the front office told me to go to.

I noticed a sign stuck outside a door..

[Yoo Kihyun]

I opened the door and saw Kihyun in bed..

From head of toe, he was covered in bandages..

I could see the blood marks..

"Kihyun.." Yura said behind me

"Excuse me, this patient can't have visitors yet" A doctor said as he walked into the room

"W-When will he wake up?" I asked

"Unfortunately, I can't help you with that. His results have yet to come. Now if you excuse me" The doctor said as he closed the door

I looked at my finger where the symbol once was..

Tears formed in my eyes and dropped down onto my hand..

"Jaeryeo--" Yura said

"JAERYEONG!!"

I turned around and saw Minhyuk panting..

"I brought everyone here" Dani said

"Jaeryeong, kwenchana?" Minhyuk asked

"Minhyuk-ah.." I cried

I slowly walked to him and gripped tightly onto his shirt.

"Kihyun... will be fine right? He won't leave me like my parents right?" I cried

I felt Minhyuk hugging me tightly.

"Shh. Kihyun's just sleeping. He'll wake up soon" Minhyuk said

Dear Mum and Dad... I finally found someone that I can share my happiness with. I finally found someone who will always be with me. I finally found someone who gave me a place to call Home. I finally found someone who loves me and will always love me. So.. I beg you.. If you can hear me, don't take him away from me and bring him back here.

"Jaeryeong, let's return to the vacation house yeah?" Minhyuk asked

I shook my head.

"No. I'll wait. For Kihyun" I said

"Jaeryeong!" Minhyuk said

"Just leave her. If I was in her shoes, I wouldn't leave either" Yura said

I smiled at Yura then turned to Minhyuk who looked quite angry..

"....So you're saying if Kihyun was like that and you were her, you wouldn't leave?" Minhyuk asked

"That's right" Yura said

"I see... Then why don't you stay here too? You'll wait for him right? Since you love him" Minhyuk said

My eyes widened..

Yura looked at Minhyuk weirdly.

"W-What are you saying?" Yura asked

"You just said if you were in Jaeryeong's shoes, you would wait for Kihyun!" Minhyuk shouted

"T-That's not what I meant by that! When I said if I was in her shoes, the person I imagined that got injured wasn't Kihyun but you!" Yura shouted

Oh... OH?

Minhyuk frozed.

Yura's face flushed red.

Oh... Don't tell me..

"F-Forget it. I'm leaving" Yura said as she ran out

"Y-Yura!" Minhyuk called but he hesitated to leave

"M-Minhyuk! Go chase her! I promise to return later" I said

"Kumawo Jaeryeong!" Minhyuk said as he ran out

...Ah. I see now.

The reason why you gave up on me.

I chuckled.

I wonder how this came to be?

A doctor came out of the room.

"D-Doctor, how is Kihyun?" I asked

"Kihyun had escaped the critical stage and is now in the safe zone. He should be waking up soon. You may visit him now" The doctor said

I smiled.

"Kamsamnida Doctor!" I bowed

"No worries" The doctor said as he left

I entered the room and saw Kihyun sleeping soundly on the bed.

I sat down at the guest chair and held his hand.

It's so cold...

"Please wake up soon.." I said

"Jaeryeong"

I slowly opened my eyes..

Did I fall asleep?

I shot up and saw the person in front of me.

"I'm glad you didn't got hurt! When you suddenly called for help like that, I was so scared" Kihyun said

Tears streamed down my face.

"J-Jaerye--" Kihyun said until I hugged him tightly

"Pabo.. Who cares about me? You're the one with the injury here" I said

Kihyun chuckled..

I moved away from him since he's injured..

Oh! That's right..

"Kihyun, why did the symbol disappear on my finger?" I asked

"Ah... That's because I broke the contract" Kihyun said

I looked at him with surprise..

"W-Why?" I asked

"Because.. I didn't want you to bear the pain" Kihyun smiled

I clenched the blanket..

"You pabo.." I cried

"Mianhe.. Did I make you worry?" Kihyun asked

"Of course you did! I thought you died or something.. I was worried sick" I cried

"Mian.. I really am sorry. I'll make it up to you" Kihyun said as he sat up

"Y-Yah.. What are you doing? You're still injured--" I said until Kihyun leaned in for a kiss

Kihyun seperated from me and smiled.

"Contract reformed" Kihyun smiled

Tears continued to stream down my face.

"Haha... You pabo" I chuckled

I hugged Kihyun.

Kihyun tightened the hug.

"Jaeryeong, after I get discharged, let's get married" Kihyun said

My eyes widened..

"Mwoh?" I asked

Kihyun smiled and caressed my cheek.

"I said let's get married" Kihyun said

"W-Wait! This is a little too sudden! I-I uhh... Um..." I stuttered

Kihyun chuckled..

"Let's get married Jaeryeong. We'll become a family and live together. So, what do you say?" Kihyun said as he took my hands

I stared at him..

"Will you be mine?" Kihyun asked

I chuckled then nodded..

"Neh. I will" I smiled
