JAERYEONG POV

<KNOCK KNOCK>

I flinched..

Who is it....?

"Delancey? Are you there??"

W-Who is that..

Quick! I need to hide...

A sudden explosion broke down the door

I screamed, covering my ears as I sat on the floor

"Wh-Who the hell...?" I said then saw a man staring at me

His eyes... were deep red like blood...

No...

His eyes are just like Kihyun's from the time he fought with the wolf..

"There you are. I've been looking everywhere for you, Human"

Wait.. that deep voice..

"...Kronos?" I said

"Ah. So you know of me. Seems like I don't need to explain myself" Kronos said as he grabbed my arm

"W-What are you doing?! Where are you taking me?" I asked

I tried shaking his hand off but his grip was strong..

"Let me go!" I said

"How annoying" Kronos said then touched my forehead with his finger

"Sleep"

My eyes started to blur..

...Huh?

I suddenly feel so... weak....

I can't... just suddenly...

I opened my eyes...

I looked around and saw a different room..

A Cell?

Why am I locked in a cell?

..........I remember!

Kronos.. he...

"Looks like you've awakened.."

I turn and saw Kronos in front of me.

I screamed in shock.

"Ouch. My Ears" Kronos said as he blocked his ears

"H-How did you get in?! Were you there the whole time?" I asked

Kronos just stared at me.

"Aren't you afraid?" Kronos asked

"Huh? Afraid? Of what?" I asked

"I'm a demon" Kronos said

"Yeah...?" I said

"This is the demon world" Kronos said

"I know that.." I said

"You're going to be killed by me in a few days" Kronos said

"....Um. Yeah so?" I said

Kronos folded his arms and stared at me weirdly..

"Humans are strange" Kronos said

"I already heard it from Kihyun. I don't want to hear it from you too" I said (A/N Chapter 3, Kihyun said the same thing)

I suddenly had a deja vu..

Man, they seriously are siblings..

Kronos walked through the cell bars to the other side and sat down on the couch..

"Where are we?" I asked

"Where? Well where else? We're inside my castle, my room" Kronos said

His castle? His room?

....This means.. this is Kihyun's home?

"Wait, why is there a cell inside your room? Also.. why is it so fancily decorated?" I asked as I skimmed my eyes looking the cell

The bed is comfortable and big

The floors are clean red carpets

Is this really what you call a cell?

"You don't need to know" Kronos said

Hmmm?

<KNOCK KNOCK>

"Who's there?" Kronos asked

"Your Highness, your father has summoned you to the meeting room"

"Tch.. What does that old man want... What is the meeting about?" Kronos asked

"It's about Princess Avery. Something about you stealing someone away from her"

Kronos looked at me.

H-Huh?

A-Avery's... looking for me?

What? Is she on drugs? Is this even possible?

"I'll be there. You, wait here" Kronos said then suddenly vanished

"....I have a name.. Seriously! What is wrong with Demons?" I complained

"Excuse me? Is anyone in there?"

I flinched.

Crap! Was that servant still outside?!

The door opened.

"Ah! Jaeryeong, so you're the one that got captured"

Oh?

"Wonho! What are you doing here?" I asked

"I am a servant who serves this castle" Wonho winked

Serves this castle...

"Wait, don't you have your own castle?" I asked

"Huh? O-Oh that? It's gone now. My mother passed away decades ago" Wonho smiled

"O-Oh... I'm so sorry.." I said

"No no. It's alright. I'm just happy that Kry-I mean, Kihyun took me in. Even though he says he doesn't trust me and that he dislikes me..." Wonho said

Wow. Kihyun, aren't you nice... -_-

"Oh yeah, this is Kronos's room yeah? Why does he have a cell in his room?" I asked

"...What? This is not his room" Wonho said

"Huh? What room is this?" I asked

"That's weird... I thought this is the detaining room. This was the room for--" Wonho said then suddenly was blown off his feet

He crashed into the walls..

"You've spoken enough"

"Y-Yo.. Kronos" Wonho said

"Wonho, are you okay?!" I exclaimed

"I-I'm fine. Probably broke a bone or two" Wonho said

"Well aren't you two close? Looks like humans will always be friends with humans. Oh wait. My mistake. I mean Hybrids" Kronos said

I noticed Wonho clenching his fists.

Wonho took a deep breathe and loosened his fists..

"Weren't you supposed to be meeting with your father?" Wonho asked

"I told him I'll need to postpone it due to serious issues that I'm facing. Not that you'll care. Since you're just a hybrid" Kronos said

What the....

"Tch.." Wonho said

"What's your problem? Stating him as a hybrid. He has a name" I said

Kronos turned and looked at me.

"Why not? It's the truth" Kronos said

"Truth or not. It's still rude to call others that. Why don't you use a nicer term?" I suggested

"Human, stay out of thi--" Kronos said

"Humans, Hybrids, Demons, who cares?! We have names you idiot and if you can't even call us by our names, you should go back to school!" I shouted

Kronos smirked.

"Well then Kwon Jaeryeong, what about we settle this elsewhere? Let's leave Wynstro here and go" Kronos said as he grabbed my arm

"Teleportation"

In a flash, I landed on a bed and Kronos was standing on the floor

I got up from the bed and looked around at the unfamiliar room

"This is my real room" Kronos said

"Now this seems more like it.." I said

But that other room... The detaining room?

"What was that detaining room for?" I asked

Kronos stayed quiet..

I sighed..

He's not gonna answer me..

I noticed a bunch of photo frames of a woman on his drawers..

What a beautiful lady.......

"Who is that? She's so pretty" I said

She looks like... someone I know..

"She's my mother. The Queen" Kronos said

My eyes widened.

"SHE'S THE QUEEN?! She looks so pretty, nice and caring though! What a shocker" I said

"Just what did you expect her to be?" Kronos asked

I rested my chin on my hand and thought...

"Hmm... A lady who wears black and red make up. Looks evil and laughs out Ohohoho~! Or something like that" I said

"She's nothing like that..." Kronos said

He walked up to the drawers and picked up one of the photos.

"She's... the best mother I could ever ask for.." Kronos smiled

I stared at Kronos...

"You should smile alot more.." I said

"What?" Kronos said

"You look really handsome. It's very nice" I smiled

Kronos stared at the frame and placed down it down.

Now that I think about it, when I was looking through Delancey's photo album... Kronos smiled alot in it...

"You use to smile don't you? Why did you stop?" I asked

Kronos's face went dark..

"I can no longer smile.. Since the source of my happiness was robbed from me" Kronos said

My eyes widened..

"Who?" I asked

"My mother, Kirianne Astaroth.. Was killed by Exorcists..." Kronos said

Exorcists?

Like Omma and Appa..

"If only if Krylne stayed put, Mother would be...." Kronos said

???

Kihyun?

"Those stupid exorcists... I'll never forgive them.... Never" Kronos growled

I wonder... what exactly happened?

Who were the exorcists?

Was Kihyun involved in this?

Hmm...

I wonder...
