Finally, time for a break!!!

To decide who to go to the nearest shop and buy food for the other members, we play scissors-paper-stone.

"Scissors...paper...stone!"

AH DAMN IT!!!

I groaned loudly, realizing that I'd put out scissors while all the others were stones.

"AHAHAHHAHA GOGO HYEMI!!!" Lami whooped.

"Ya, don't bully your unnie, araseo?" I chided, wiggling a finger in her face.

Ignoring me, they continued bombarding me with all the different things they wanted to eat. 

Kimchi... ramen...ice cream...

I raised a hand for silence, interrupting their babble. "Since we're on a semi diet, only whole wheat bread for all of us. And soy milk. That's all."

With that, I hurriedly left them and their groans of protest alone and took off to the convenience store nearby.

Once in the elevator, I whipped out my phone and checked to see if I had any missed calls or messages.

After flipping through them and replying my friends, I went to my call log to delete everything- a habit of mine, and realized with a start that the call with hanbin yesterday had taken an hour and 12 minutes.

"What??? I'm pretty sure it was only 30 minutes!!" Confused, I dialled his number again, wanting clarification. It was 12pm now, he should be awake and getting ready for his schedule already.

"Yobeoseyo, Yah Kim Hanbin, why did the call yesterday take an hour and 12 minutes?? As far as I remember, we only talked for 30 minutes. Or am I getting dementia?"

Hanbin chuckled from the other end,

"You remembered correctly. The rest of the time was just me listening to you snoring. You fell asleep and I was just contented with the sound of you in your dreamland."

Hanbin replied, amused by my reaction.

"Oh... yah shouldn't you be resting instead!!!"

Laughing, I tried to control my facial expressions before they broke out into a wild silly grin.

"I was, while listening to you snore. By the way, aren't you cold?" He asked.

Cold? The cold didn't strike me until I walked out of the building. Then it hit me full on, the dry winter air whipping past me bitingly with no mercy. Shivering, I tried to stable my numb hand and hold the phone close to my ears.

"Yeah, I forgot that it's winter. Ugh, I'm too lazy to get my jacket from my dorm. I'm out to get lunch."

It was an effort to enunciate my words, what with my teeth partially frozen and chattering perpetually. It'll be much easier to just run to the store and then back. Or maybe I was just super lazy.

I was just readying myself the sprint ahead when suddenly, a pair of hands encircled my waist from behind, a jacket pulling over my shoulders as the body behind stuck against me warmly.

I yelped, whipping around in shock to see Hanbin's face just the inches away.

"Annyeong, Hyem-"

He didn't get to finish his sentence, for I had already jumped onto him in excitement. We fell onto the soft ground together, with him still holding onto me.

Laughing, I hit his chest gently with my half frozen hands, trying to pick myself up.

"Took you so long to come see me."

"Yah, I took the first flight back here just to see you, pabo. The other members are probably still flying. I did my best to come as early as I could."

He insisted, pulling me back down onto him by grabbing my hand.

I didn't resist, just staring into his eyes was enough to ignite all the fireworks in my heart. Slowly, nervously, I leaned in and pecked him on the cheek, smiling as he grinned shyly.

Eventually, I disentangled myself from him and got up, brushing off the dust from my black track pants. He shrugged off his jacket and placed it onto my shoulders, taking my hand in his and blowing air into it, trying to warm my hand up.

"You should have bought a jacket out. What if I wasn't here? Are you going to freeze to death?"

He chided, pausing for a moment before he resumed to rub my hands within his.

"I knew you'll come and save me from the cold, that's why."

I stuck a tongue out at him, the warmth spreading through my fingers to my pounding heart.

"So why are you here?"

I asked, my hands no longer numb from the cold.

"To see you of course. I told you I miss you." Hanbin said matter-of-factly, pulling me into him for a quick embrace.

Once in his safe arms, I felt all my tense muscles relax, as did his. I was contented just staying in this position, with his arms held tightly around me, making me feel safe and warm. The warm feeling and butterflies in my stomach were enough to fight off the cold, though his jacket did help, a lot.

Finally pulling away, he rubbed my shoulders up and down to keep me warm, and even though I wanted to share the jacket with him, I knew that he would reject it.

"Can't you let me be manly for you?" He had whined the first time I had tried to give him back his jacket for fear that he'll be too cold.

"Let's go, I have 30 minutes of break."

He said, interrupting my reminiscing, taking my hand in his and swinging it back and forth.

I nodded, and hand in hand the two of us took off down the street towards the convenience store.

But I couldn't help but notice that he had pulled up his mask so that it covered up his face..~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
