" Chapter 14 - Beautiful Night "

Yesterday was a success, our class has been busy since yesterday, and today we are now lighting the bonfire to end this years festival.

I'm in our classroom right now cleaning up and removing the wallpaper on the wall, we've got six more hours for the bonfire. They are still preparing for the wood.

After cleaning I decided to watch the bonfire at the rooftop alone, I heard that the view is nice up there. I walk up to the deadly stairs up to the rooftop, I was about to unlock it but the door wasn't locked the whole time.

Did someone got in before me?

I opened the door and felt the cold breeze as I step out from the door.

"Waaaahh, it's so cold!!" I muttered.

"Sia?" A familiar voice said.

I turned and saw a pair of ruby eyes looking at me, "Lucas, what are you doing here?" I asked.

He shrugged and said, "Relaxing, what are you doing here, it's cold."

"I'm here to watch the bonfire," I replied and walked towards the railings then he followed.

"Oh, they're starting!" I pointed out.

We watched the show and saw Agnis about to shoot the flaming arrow.

"So cool!!" I said looking at Agnis as she shoot the flaming arrow and burned the logs in just one shot. After that they are now starting to dance around the bonfire.

I shrugged, it's getting really cold. Lucas' must've notice it and tossed his hoodie to me.

"Thank you," I muttered, "But aren't you cold?"

He looked at me and said, "Not really."

I put on his hoodie very carefully because my hair might get ruined. Waaaahhh, so warm. I blushed when I caught the smell of Lucas in his hoodie.

"Do I smell good?" He smirked.

"N-no!! It's just... Nevermind..." I sighed, rolling my eyes in annoyance.

We turned back down to the students dancing happily around the bonfire.

"Let's join them," He suddenly said.

"Eh?" I look up to him, startled at what he said.

He hold out his hand and said, "Let's dance."

"Here?" I asked.

He looked at me in a are you serious face. I sighed and accept his offer, "I'm not very much of a dancer... So I might step on your feet..."

He held my hand and kissed on it, "Just follow my lead."

I feel my face heat up like crazy and fanned myself, "Haha, why is it so hot in here... Oh! Maybe I'm wearing your hoodie!! Hahaha!!" I looked away.

Suddenly he pulled me closer and said, "Are you sure?"

I gulped, why are you like this today?! Did someone hit your head?!

We started dancing, following the slow music from the bonfire. I'm really good at this! When I danced with my dad when I was little, I really goofed up and promised myself not to dance anymore. But I'm not stepping on his feet!!

"Why are you looking so surprised?" Lucas frowned.

"It's my first time not stepping on someone's foot!" I said happily. Then he laughed at me, "And you're happy about it?!"

I nodded, "Very happy!"

We continued dancing, making jokes at each other, bickering at each other until the music ends.

"Mic test! Mic test! One two three!!" The announcer muttered.

We were now watching who will be the winner these year's festival.

"Okay!! Good evening students!!" The announcer greeted and everyone cheered in response. He pulled out an envelope of the top three and waved it around.

I was focused to the announcer that I unexpectedly gripped Lucas' hand on the railing. I felt him flinched at the touch but I didn't bother, I was so nervous.

"The third place goes to!!" The drums went rolling and stopped, "Class 3-b!!" everyone on that class cheered. I sighed in relief but also felt nervous because we might not get into the top.

"The second place goes to the!!!"

"Class 1-d!!!"

Class 1-d cheered and went singing at the corner. After that the announcer said, "Then the first place!!" They all went silent, I can feel the nervous tension from up here.

"Goes to!!!" The drums went rolling. I closed my eyes.

"Class.. 2-A!!!!!" Everyone remained silent and our class cheered very loudly and ran towards the stage and danced like crazy people.

"We won!! We won!!" I held Lucas' shoulders and shaking it crazily.

"Hey!! I'm getting dizzy!!" He said then I stopped. "Sorry!! I'm just.. I don't know what to say!!" I smiled at him and involuntarily hugged him.

"Thank you," I whispered.

He remained silent and I just realized of what I just did. I immediately let go and looked away from him, "Uhm... Sorry..."

He just looked at me then smiled, "This is payback.."

He walked closer to my face and kissed my forehead and walk away, "I'm going now!" He said, leaving me dumbfounded.

"W-w-w-whatdidyoujustdo?!" I flushed, touching my forehead in one hand. He just ignored me and continued to walk.

By the time he opened the door, he said, "Hey, Sia!! Make sure you lock the door!"

"Ah!! I'm coming with you!" I quickly ran up to him.

"Hurry!" He said, walking away.

I locked the door and ran down the stairs calling Lucas, "Hey!! Wait for me!!"

He looked up and smirked, "Catch me if you can!!" He ran down the stairs very quickly.

"This guy..." I muttered under my breath and ran down the stairs. I ran down with all my might and immediately almost catch up to him. And by almost, I tripped myself on the stairs, "Ah!!"

Lucas turned and his eyes widened as he saw my falling down to him. Luckily, he caught me but he was pushed down by force and fall onto the floor.

"That hurts!! You're really such a klutz!!" He exclaimed, holding his head on one hand in pain and the other one leaning on the floor.

"It's your fault for leaving me!" I spat back. Then I realize I was half pinning him on the floor with the both of my hands leaning on the floor by the sides of his waist. I immediately got off him and stood up.

He smirked at me and said, "You're getting pretty bold, aren't you?"

"W-what do you mean?" I stuttered, not looking him in the eye. I can clearly feel my cheeks heat up.

He stood up and started spouting something, "Holding my hands freely, suddenly hugging me--"

"Aaaaaaahhhh!!! Stop it!!" I said waving my hands to his face.

"I don't want to~" He teased.

And we went on and on as we walk back to the classroom.
