" Chapter 3 - Neighbor "

"Do you have meetings today, Athy?" Helena asked.

"No, I'm free today," I cheered happily. "I'M FREEEEEEE!!"

"That's great!! We can hang out later!" Agnis exclaimed.

"Sure, I'm just gonna go ahead for class," I said and walked out of their table. "See ya guys laterrrrrr!!!"

As I got into my next class, which is.... Math...

I decided to sit at the back, since I know that this subject is so boring. I mean, it's just numbers and stuff, duh.

Suddenly a sound of the chair beside me screeched. I turned to see who that person is, it was Ejikiel.

"Hello Athanasia," He greeted. "Can I sit beside you?"

"Hi, I didn't expect you to sit at the back..." I said. "And of course, you can sit beside me."

"Thank you."

"No probs..."

I turned and looked at the window, I saw some students at the field, playing soccer. Then I saw a familiar black-haired boy, making my blood boil.

So he's good at soccer..

I rolled my eyes, watching him score a goal. meh..

I wish he tripped, I wish he got hit by that ball....

"Athanasia!!" The teacher called me.

"Y-yes!" I stood up.

He sighed, "Please stop staring at the soccer player and please read the question number 3."

"Yes sir," I replied, blushinf furiously.

"I didn't expect that you got scolded by the teacher," Ejikiel laughed, walking beside me.

"Please forget about that..." I blushed.

"Okay..." He said in a very teasing tone.

I don't trust you!

"Kiel!"

I heard a familiar voice, calling Ejikiel. We turned to see who called and it was the raven head dude, yay... why do I always see him around almost every hour?!

"Lucas, what is it?" Ejikiel aksed, walking towards the new guy.

"There you are, everyone's waiting at you," The guy named Lucas said. "Cabel can't stop whining for waiting for you." His eyes slowly moved towards me then gave me a frown.

WHAT?! Do you wanna fight?!

"Oh, who is this?" He asked, tilting his head as he stared at my face closely.

You don't remember me?!

"This is Athanasia, she's my friend," Ejikiel introduced.

"Hi..." I greeted, with a forced smile on my face. "Nice to meet you.."

"Tch.. in this world too?" He muttered.

"In this what?"

"Nothing," He smiled innocently. "The name's Lucas, nice to meet you too.. Athanasia.."

Somehow, I wanted him to call me by my name again. It sounds so sweet and genuine.

"Let's go Kiel," Lucas said, tapping Ejikiel's shoulder.

"What about Athy?" Ejikiel asked, eyeing at me.

"Don't worry about me, I'll just find Jenny and the others," I smiled at Kiel, and walked away not even looking at the jerk beside him.

I saw Jenny and the others waiting for me at the front gate. I smiled and ran towards them happily.

"Sorry I'm late!!" I said. "Let's go?"

"Okay! but.. where are we going first?" Jenny asked, tilting her head to think.

"We should eat first," Agnis suggested, patting her tummy. "I'm pretty hungry.."

We all agreed with a chuckle and walked towards a sweets shop near the school. After eating we decided to go to an arcade, which is just a few blocks away from the sweets shop.

"That was fun!" Jenny cheered, hugging a small plushie that she won from the arcade earlier.

"Yeah, let's do this again!" Agnis agreed.

"I'm gonna go now," I sighed, feeling drained. After all the games, I just want to take a nap.

"Leaving already?" Helena pouted.

"She's just sad because she always lose and never had a single win!" Cass smirked.

"I'm not!" I whined. "It's just I let you all win because I feel bad for all of you!!"

They laughed at me as I pout at them.

Next time we're gonna do this. I swear that I'm gonna win!

We bid ourselves goodbye, but before I could go home I decided to buy something for mom at the sweets shop. The choco tart I ate was so delicious!!"

"Athy!!" I heard  Ejikiel's called voice from behind, I turn around and gave him a smile as he made his way towards me.

"Hi," Was all I could say.

I wanna go home.

"Who is this for?" Kiel asked, pointing at the cake I'm holding.

"It's for my mom, are you going home now?" I asked, tilting my head.

"Yeah, but we decided to find something to eat."

"And Lucas ditched us!" Cabel cried.

Like I care...

"I must get going, dad might get worried..." I smiled at them. "See ya!"

"Okay, see you tomorrow."

I listened to my favorite music as I walked down the sidewalk towards my house. I look up and saw a person in front of me walking slowly.

Why is this guy so slow?

I put off my earphones annoyingly, and tapped the person by the shoulder.

He flinched and turned, I saw a pair of glistening ruby eyes looking at mine.

Lucas?

Is he crying....?

"Athanasia..?"

He looked startled and relieved..? Why do he looked relieved?

He rubbed his eyes, more like wiping the tears that is threatening to fall. "W-what are you doing here?"

"This is the way to my house," I answered. I tilted my head to see his face, "Why are you crying?"

"I'm not.." He muttered, letting out a huff.

"Are you lost?" I chuckled at the guess. "That's why are you crying?"

He glared at me, I just looked at him and smiled like I did nothing.

"I... just missed someone.." He said sadly, staring deeply into my eyes.

I kinda wanted to comfort him but I don't know how so I just said, "Is that so... Well, I better get going, bye!"

I continued to walk towards my house, but Lucas suddenly followed me from behind.

"Can you please stop following me?!" I huffed, eyeing at him suspiciously.

"What? What am I a stalker? This is also my way to my house," He said with a shrug.

"You look like one!!"

"Thank you for the compliment," He genuinely bowed at me.

I gave him a glare. "Go away!"

"I don't want to..."

I walked away faster, then he followed my pace, then I decided to run, carefully, the cake I'm holding might get ruined.

I stopped running, feeling out of breath.

"Finished already?" I heard Lucas' voice.

How much stamina did he have?!

I ignored him, rolling my eyes as I opened the gate to my house

"Bye!" He waved at me, watching me walks in my house.

I was about to walk away but then I saw him walked towards the house in front of ours.

He turned and smirked at me.

"See you tomorrow, neighbor."
