Chapter 57: Goodbye to the people I once lost

 3rd person P.O.V.

A girl with long blonde hair in braids stood in front of the trio, surprising them.

"Petra?" Hato asked.

The girl turned around to look at them with a smile. Armin's eyes widened, and so did the members of the Survey Corps who were nearby. They didn't expect this, not one bit. Petra was alive? And doing really well it seemed.

"Hello Hato, Chelsea," she said," I'm very sorry for interrupting the battle."

"No, no, it's fine sensei," Hato said in a little bit of a panic," If you interrupt a battle, you obviously have a reason."

Petra nodded her head and looked back at Syaoran.

"I do have a reason," she said," I'm here because I can tell you're losing."

Hato and Chelsea's eyes widened once Petra said that. They didn't know what to say to that, especially when it's out of the blue.

"What are you talking about?" asked Chelsea," We're not losing, are we?"

Petra nodded her head while pointing at the staff in Hato's hand.

"The feather in that staff has an immense amount of power, but because of how you use it," Petra explained," It sucks a lot of energy out of you. You may not notice it for a while, but once it catches up to you, it won't be good."

The two girls didn't understand at first until Hato felt her energy drain extremely quickly. She collapsed onto the ground, well, she almost hit the ground. But she didn't because Armin quickly ran behind her and caught her before she did.

"Hato!" he yelled with concern in his voice.

"I'm fine," she said," But you weren't kidding. I feel like my entire body ran out of energy in less than a few seconds."

"Very sorry about that," Petra apologized," I should have started your training sooner. It's just your body wasn't physically ready yet and if you tried this any earlier this would have caused you to faint."

Hato nodded her head, as if she understood, then she looked at Syaoran.

"Why hasn't Syaoran attacked yet?" she asked.

"Hm?" Petra said while turning around to see what she meant," Whoops! Looks like I stopped all time around him!"

"PETRA!" Chelsea and Hato yelled, surprised and confused.

"Hey, I'm sorry," she said while rubbing the nape of her neck," I didn't mean to do it! It just sort of happened!"

"That's what they all say," a voice said from a few feet above them.

The four of them turned around to see Haruhi sitting on the floating platform with Ymir and Historia standing behind her.

"Huh, what do you mean Haruhi?" Petra asked curiously.

"Anyone who accidentally freezes time around a specific person always says that," Haruhi explained, confusing everyone except for Petra," It's just a lousy excuse."

"Excuse me, Haruhi," said Petra," But, uh, who's the only person you know that can freeze time?"

Haruhi looked at Petra suspiciously before smiling.

"You're the only one I've met," said Haruhi," But I know for a fact that you're not the only one!"

A stereotypical angry mark for anime appeared on Petra as she started getting annoyed.

"Haruhi," said Petra in an annoyed voice," Do you want me to take away your collection of proof that Espers, time travelers, and aliens exist?"

Haruhi's eyes suddenly widened as she jumped down in front of Petra and landed into a pleading position.

"PLEASE DON'T," Haruhi yelled," I'LL DO ANYTHING YOU WANT! JUST DON'T TAKE IT AWAY!"

"That's what I thought," Petra said while crossing her arms.

"So what exactly were you going to do?" Chelsea asked," We're in the middle of a battle, so I would assume it's fighting."

"Actually," said Petra," I'm bringing you into a new world."

Hato and Chelsea looked at Petra confused while everyone else was shocked, except for Haruhi.

"A new world?" asked Hato as she tried to sit up," Why now?"

"It's pretty simple really," said Petra," I'm doing it cause 1. I can choose which dimension I want to go to and 2. It's technically my fault you're in this mess."

"What are you talking about?" asked Armin as he tried to help Hato stand up.

"Well, why do you think she came back to the walls when she forgot everything that happened here?" Petra asked," And how do you think she got here? Getting through titan territory is extremely difficult, not to mention getting across the Atlantic ocean would take months."

As she said this, Chelsea's eyes widened. She had figured out exactly what she was talking about, which brought up another question for her.

"You brought Hato here from our home dimension," Chelsea said, surprising everyone," But why? And since you did that, you probably know why Anthony and I came here, right?"

Petra shook her head as Haruhi stood up.

"I don't know why you and Anthony came here, Chelsea," Petra replied," I mean, it was before I died so I couldn't have known. Besides, you're the reason I knew about different dimensions in the first place!"

Chelsea's eyes widened while Hato looked at her surprised. She was being held up by Armin to make sure she didn't fall, so she wasn't able to walk up to Chelsea.

"Chelsea, is that true?" Hato asked.

Chelsea nodded her head slowly.

"Yeah, that is true," Chelsea said.

"Anyways, the reason I brought Hato back is because not only is she from this dimension originally, but I was hoping to find someone that could save this world from this tragedy," Petra explained before a melancholy look appeared on her face," But I ended up getting you mixed up with all of this mess. My apologize Hato."

"It's fine really," said Hato," You had no idea this would happen."

"I know," said Petra.

"This is boring!" Haruhi said, causing everyone to look at her," I hate to break it to ya, but we gotta go!"

Petra sighed and looked at Chelsea and Hato with a serious look.

"Unfortunately, Haruhi is right," Petra said," We have to go."

"Wait!" Armin yelled, catching Petra's attention," You guys can't go yet! There's still so much you haven't explained!"

"Even if we did explain it," Haruhi said," You'll think this entire thing was a dream in the end, and there's going to be a replacement for everything that's coming with us!"

Armin's eyes widened as tears started to form.

"Wait, we're getting replaced?" Ymir asked/ yelled.

"Um, yeah," said Petra as she rubbed the nape of her neck," Sorry about not explaining it to you two."

"It's fine!" said Historia," I was wondering how things were going to go here without us anyways, so that just answers my question!"

"Glad it could," said Petra.

"HATO!" someone yelled, causing Hato to turn her head to see who it was.

Suddenly, she was pulled away from Armin and engulfed into a hug by Hanji. Haruhi sighed while Petra giggled and started opening a portal.

"I'M GOING TO MISS YOU SO MUCH!" she yelled," PLEASE COME BACK SOME DAY!!"Hato laughed as Hanji let go of her and nodded her head.

"Okay Hanji," she said," I will!"

Hanji nodded her head and smiled while walking away. Eren and Mikasa walked up to Hato and smiled at her.

"Seriously," said Eren," We just get you back and now you're leaving?!"

"Yeah," Hato said while rubbing the nape of her neck," Sorry."

Suddenly, Hato got an idea. She transformed back into her clothes, which somehow was the Survey Corps uniform, as she pulled out her phone.

"Hold on!" she said to them," I want to get a group photo of the four of us!"

Eren and Mikasa looked at her confused as Armin walked up behind her.

"Alright!" she said while pulling Eren and Mikasa into view of the camera," Smile!"

The four of them smiled as the camera took the picture. When it was done, Hato looked at the photo and smiled.

"It looks great!" Hato beamed.

The others nodded their head as they saw the picture. It was honestly really cute, but as they were looking at it, Levi walked up behind them.

"Charity," he said in a serious voice.

Hato immediately looked behind her, and when she saw Levi, she smiled.

"Hi Levi!" she said," I'm sorry about having to leave."

"It's fine," he said.

Hato nodded her head when her eyes caught sight of something in his hand. She looked down to see two Survey Corps symbols that seemed to be cut out of the uniform.

"What's that, Levi?" Hato asked.

"Isabel and Farlan's uniform symbol," Levi explained while holding them out," I've had them with me for the past 6 years, but I think you should have them now."

Hato's eyes lit up while she grabbed them from Levi.

"Thank you, Levi bro!" she said with a smile.

Levi's eyes widened as she turned around and walked over to Petra, Haruhi, Chelsea, Ymir, and Historia. But while she was walking towards them, she failed to notice Sasha and Connie sneaking behind her while dragging Armin with them.

"I guess we'll be going now," said Hato.

"Hold up!" said Petra as Sasha and Connie got closer," We aren't leaving yet."

Hato looked at Petra confused.

"What do you....?"

"NOW!" Petra yelled while spinning Hato around.

Sasha and Connie pushed Armin forward into Hato, somehow making their lips collide. Both of their eyes widened as Petra, Sasha, and Connie giggled and the sound of squealing could be heard in the distance like it was on the other side of the fourth wall. As their cheeks grew red, Petra pulled a camera out, took a picture, and put the camera away before they pulled away.

"PETRA!" Hato yelled while Armin yelled at Sasha and Connie.

They started laughing as Ymir and Historia giggled a little.

"Their face is redder than Karma's hair," Ymir pointed out.

"I HEARD THAT!" Hato yelled at the two of them.

"But it's true," Historia said," Besides, all of us were waiting so long for him to confess that Sasha and Connie probably couldn't help it."

Hato looked at Historia and Ymir, blushing like crazy, until Petra tapped her shoulder, grabbing her attention.

"I'm sorry to ruin this moment," she said," But we gotta go."

Hato sighed as she watched Chelsea and Haruhi jump through the portal. Historia and Ymir walked over to the portal, with Hato and Petra following. Before any of them went into the portal, they turned around to look at everyone.

"Thank you!" said Hato," For everything! I really do hope we see each other again someday!"

Some members nodded their head while some had tears in their eyes. Tears started forming in Hato's eyes as sadness almost took over.

"Well then," she said before turning around," We'll be going."

She then stepped in the portal, with the others following her, as a bright light surrounded them and took them away from their world.
