Chapter 55: His power

22:05, 8 October 2018

 Historia's P.O.V.

Ymir and I sprinted as fast as we could from the kid that was our enemy. His appearance surprised us by a lot, but we got over it quickly because of, well, Haruhi. The boy had brown spiky hair, and his clothes looked like they were from another world. But that didn't surprise us the most. What surprised us was that one of his eyes were brown, while the other was blue. It looked like it didn't belong, and it gave me the chills.

Of course, the overall appearance of the kid surprised the entire Survey Corps, and so did the clothes we were wearing and the weapons in our hand. And I don't blame them. This entire thing is new to me and Ymir, but it seems like we're needed so we don't complain.

"Historia! Ymir!" we heard some members of the Survey Corps yell," What do you think you're doing?"

I ignored them while Ymir looked over at them.

"Dang it," she said," Looks like they're going to follow us all the way back to camp."

"Yeah, it does," I said as Ymir looked back in front of us.

I turned my head slightly to the side to look out at the Survey Corps. Half of them were fighting the Armored titan while the other half were trying to get Syaoran off of our tails. A few of them have already tried to grab us and jump off of the wall, but the failed because the kid keeps throwing swords in our direction.

"Huh," Ymir said, making me look at her.

Before I could ask her what was wrong, my eyes caught sight of a red and blue light running in our direction, and they were going FAST. I wasn't able to tell what it was, but Ymir did.

"So that's Symphogear," she said to herself, causing me to look at her surprised.

"Symphogear? You mean the magical girl form Hato and Chelsea have?" I asked.

"Get ready to jump," Ymir demanded, ignoring my question.

Before I could say anything else, Ymir turned to run to the left while pushing me to go to the right. So I ran to the right and jumped off of the wall while covering my face. Right as I did that, a huge explosion could be heard behind me, along with the sound of voices. Beautiful voices that seemed to be singing in perfect harmony.

The impact from the explosion pushed me out, further away from the wall with extreme force. And at that moment, I was happy Haruhi had given me black leggings to put under the yellowed collared dress that I was wearing at the moment.

I pushed the front part of my dress down as I fell, while quickly turning my body around to look at what had happened. There was smoke all over where the boy was, and there were bits of debris from the flying around. The entire Survey Corps seemed to be in shock from what had happened because I could hear questions coming from all of them.

Before I could figure out what had happened, my eyes caught sight of two people with weird outfits on. One of them, the one in red and pink, shot two wires from her back and wrapped them around the girl in the blue outfit while both of them ran off the wall. The girls jumped off the wall and flew really far. And at that moment, I realized that the girl jumping in my direction was Hato, and she had her hand out like she was trying to grab something. That something, I realized, was me.

I could hear the Survey Corps yell at me, scared that I was going to die. Slowly, I held my hand out as far as I could as Hato flew in my direction. She was flying in my direction quickly, but everything seemed to be going in slow motion. As she got closer, I could hear the Survey Corps gasp in surprise, especially when they figured out who it was.

Once Hato grabbed my hand, she gave me a soft smile.

"Good job Historia!" she said.

"Thanks, Hato," I replied while smiling.

Suddenly, the wires that were connected to Hato were pulled up extremely quickly. I looked up to see why, only for fear to crawl into my joy. The kid was high up in the air and was holding on to the center of the wire. He started spinning the wire around with a lot of force, causing us to start getting thrown around in a circle.

The two of us cried out in surprise as we got thrown around in circles. Hato looked down at me as I tried my hardest to not let the pressure get the best of me.

"Let go," she said.

I stared up at her in surprise and shook my head.

"Are you crazy?" I yelled," I'm going to die."

Hato just shook her head and allowed her grip in me to loosen.

"Just trust me on this, okay?" she asked.

I looked up at her with fear in my eyes, but I nodded my head. She smiled at me and released her hand. I then released my hand and began to fly out towards the outside of Wall Maria. Fear was about to crawl into me again until something grabbed onto me. I looked to my side to see Haruhi standing on a floating platform and looking out at what was happening.

I looked at her with confusion written all over my face as she dropped me onto the platform.

"What is this?" I asked.

"We have no idea," said a voice coming from behind me.

I turned around to see Ymir standing there with Chelsea standing right next to her. Chelsea seemed to be looking out at what was happening behind me until she saw me.

"Are you okay, Historia?" she asked.

I looked at her, still, a little surprised, before nodding my head.

"Yeah," I replied," I'm fine."

Chelsea was about to say something else until we heard the sound of something breaking parts of the wall. We all looked back at the wall to see the kid still holding onto the wire, but the wire was now leading down into a huge hole in the wall that went down about a few feet. And in that hole was Hato, who was trying to stand up right now.

The boy pulled out a sword from nowhere and was about to throw it at Hato, but Chelsea decided that it was a great moment to attack. So she jumped off the platform, created a giant sword, and swung it at the boy. He noticed this right before it hit him, so instead of hitting him, it hit the blade of his sword. Hato took this chance to brush herself off and jump off the side of the wall. As she fell, she pulled the boy with her and swung him into the ground.

At that point, we noticed half of the Survey Corps gathering around the hole Hato's body had created. I looked over at Haruhi, and she just nodded her head, as if she understood what to do. She lowered the platform and flew it close enough to the wall that we would be able to talk to them and not 'escape'. Let's face it, that's probably what Haruhi was thinking. Once the Survey Corps noticed us, a few of them gasped.

"Historia! Ymir!" Sasha yelled," What in the world is going on?"

"Yeah!" yelled Connie," How in the world is all of this happening?"

Before we could answer, we heard the sound of the maneuvering gear being used and the sound of the end of the wire bouncing off of the platform. I turned my head around to see that it was Levi who had tried to get up here.

"Nice try bud!" Haruhi said in a sarcastic voice," But this platform is made up of a special type of metal that can't be scratched! So can't come up here no matter how many times you try!"

Levi looked at Haruhi with this hateful look as Ymir stomped her foot on the platform multiple times.

"What type of metal is this?" she asked.

"It's TITANIUM!!" we heard someone sing behind us.

I turned my head around to see that Chelsea had jumped up behind us and was now falling back down to the ground.

"Did she really just jump this high up just to sing that?" Ymir asked.

"Seems like it," I said.

"Who are you?" Levi asked Haruhi coldly," And what do you think you're doing?"

"One question at a time," Haruhi said," Anyways, my name is...."

"Her name is Haruhi Suzumiya and she has so much unneeded stuff that I already lost count," Ymir said, interrupting Haruhi.

Haruhi looked at Ymir angrily while I just ignored the two of them and looked at the rest of the Survey Corps.

"Haruhi's basically like a teacher, in a way," I explained," She's been training two girls for the past few months and now they are extremely powerful."

"Wait," said Jean," But girls I'm guessing you mean Hato and Chelsea."

"You are correct!" Haruhi beamed while throwing colorful everywhere," And your prize is realizing we've been over there over the course of those months and no one has noticed! Not even the stupid titan shifters!"

"HEY!" Ymir yelled.

"Not you!" Haruhi added before looking down at the Survey Corps," It's a wonder why you guys don't know how truly terrible your government is."

"Wait, what are you talking about?" Connie asked.

"That doesn't matter right now," Levi said coldly," The real question is why you took Hato and Chelsea away from us right after an expedition that made us lose so many soldiers just to get her back."

Haruhi just hummed to herself while Ymir and I looked at her. Why did she take them away when she did? I mean, it seemed like they went with her with there own free will, but it seemed like she convinced them in a way.

"Technically," Haruhi said," I didn't take them away, they came with me with their own free will."

I turned around to look at the Survey Corps to see that their eyes were wide open.

"It's because of this," Haruhi continued," That boy is an overpowered brat, and his goal is to find something, and that something is inside of Hato. Because of this, that kid would kill anyone who got in the way, and that would have meant all of you."

"And I assume you told her all of this," Levi said," So you could have easily told her a lie."

I would have agreed with him, but then I realized something. Chelsea had said that Hato knew exactly who this guy was and what he was capable of. She must have realized what Haruhi was talking about without much information.

"Hato knew this guy, didn't she?" I asked Haruhi.

Everyone else looked at us in shock while Haruhi just nodded her head.

"That's correct," Haruhi said," Hato knew exactly who this guy was long before I even mentioned the fact that he was trying to kill her. And because of that, she tried her hardest to train just to protect you guys."

"Hold on," said Ymir," Something doesn't make sense."

Haruhi and the rest of the Survey corps looked at Ymir curiously while I just looked down at everyone. They all seemed to have a small amount of fear in them, but more determination than anything. Especially in Armin's eyes, who has yet to even speak yet.

"What is it Ymir?" Haruhi asked.

"I understand why you asked Hato to fight this guy," Ymir said," I mean, we've already seen what she can do. But what about Chelsea? Why did you ask her?"

"Hm, oh that's an easy question to answer," Haruhi said," It's because she's not from the walls and she also is capable of, well, a lot of things."

My eyes widened as I turned my head and looked at Haruhi, shocked.

"Chelsea and Anthony are from the outside world?" I asked.

"You are correct!" Haruhi beamed as more colorful paper was thrown everywhere," You guys are a little smarter than I thought!"

My jaw dropped when she replied. How have I now noticed that? The two of them grew close to Hato so quickly that we should have noticed something, not to mention the books she had. So how have we not noticed this?

Before any of us could say something, though, a loud crash could be heard from under us. I looked down at the wall to see what happened, only for my eyes to widen. Smoke was covering part of the wall, and I couldn't see what made it, but I'm pretty sure it was made from one of the three people fighting under us. But at that moment, those facts didn't concern me. What had my attention was that it had nearly hit someone and that someone was now falling off the wall.

It was Armin.
