Chapter 11: I'm sorry

As the sun rose from the hills of the island, Toothless woke with a start remembering that they are heading back home today. He started bouncing around the room, knocking things down, waking his best bud.

"Toothless, what are you doing?" Says a tired a Hiccup while rubbing his eyes trying to wake up a little more. His dragon growlers in response.

"Yea yea. I know your excited but calm down before you destroy the whole 'house.'" Says Hiccup.

*** Pagebreak***

As the gang woke up, Astrid kept thinking about what Hiccup said last night.

She gets up and starts packing her things. Everyone is doing the same.

After awhile, she still hasn't seen Hiccup. She starts walking towards the hut and walks inside.

She sees stuff in bins, being packed.

"Hello? Hiccup? Are you here?" Hiccup comes out and sees her.

"Oh. Hey... Astrid. What are... you doing... here?" Says Hiccup. Astrid can't help but question if he really ment what he said last night. Little did she know was that she was staring at Hiccup.

"Uh... Astrid. What... are you... staring at?"

"Huh? Oh. I was lost in thought."

"What were you... thinking about?"

"Did you really mean what you said yesterday?"

Hiccup was quiet. He didn't know what to say. How does Astrid think he would not mean that?

"Yea. I... did." He says but very quiet. But Astrid could still hear.

"I so sorry." Says Astrid trying not to break down. This past few years, she has been acting different. These past few days has changed her view on certain people, including Hiccup.

She has a different view to Hiccup. After what happened years before, she feel bad of how she treated him. She doesn't want things to be like that at all. She wants it to be different.

"Why are... you sorry?" Asks Hiccup who is really confused.

"I'm sorry that I have been mean to you for your whole life. I'm sorry for almost killing you who knows how many times. I'm sorry for all the times when I would be nothing but brutal to you. I'm sorry. I really mean it."

"Um... I... Uh..." Hiccup stutters. "I... Um... I should.... Um.... Finish packing." Says Hiccup stuttering again.

"Yea. Do you need help?"

"Uh... Sure."

The two star packing again. Every now and then, Astrid would sneak peaks at Hiccup. He would never see. Astrid was thankful that she found Hiccup and he was going to go back to Berk. He was going to save Berk.
