Mini longest Chapter (Bc i couldnt fit it into Ch. 9) So Ch. 9.5

(hey so some of this stuff I wanted to continue in Ch. 10 and it would have been a little bit confusing, and I was feeling very lukanette writing this soo.. also a little bit of the promised neverland fanart bc I am obsessed with the series rn! and for Ch. 10 get ur napkins cause ur gonna laugh and cry and fangirl and any other emotion I forgot to mention so enjoy! this "mini" Ch. is gonna be as long as a normal one even longer bc I felt like it) 

"Ok, is everything ready?" I asked as I walked around the room

"Yep, everything is complete, table sets, music check complete, banner and decorations put, DJ booth set up, and the lights are programmed for tomorrow night," Alya said,

"Wow, this is going to be amazing!" I said

"And you know what will make it more amazing? ME!" Someone said in the background

"LISA?!" I screamed as I hugged her "What are you doing here?"

"Coming to see both of my favorite people, my BFF, and my cousin," she said

"Let me guess, Alya?" I said 

"How did you know," They both asked at the same time

"Let's just go with magic," I mockingly said 

"Ja, but really how?" Alya asked 

"Well your personality is the same, and your attitude is the same, and your voice is the same, and your last name is the same, and your laugh is the same, would you like me to keep going?" I asked

"Nope I heard enough," Nino said as he entered the room

"Hey bro, 'sup? did you ask her out yet, I'm not getting any younger you know?" Lisa asked as they fist-bumped

"Wh-what no! she totally doesn't like me back," He said flustered

"hum?  you sure? cause you should totally ask her to the dance," I suggested

"Umm, okay ill do it tonight!" He said flustered

"You better cause if you don't you're dead," Lisa said as she gave him the death stare

"Well I gotta get going bye, by the way, I like how the room is going nice, style Mari," He said as he left a little frightened

"Ugh, he will never like me back will he?" Alya asked as she dramatically sat on the chair behind her, 

"See, you're both the same amount of dramatic," I said

"Well, since I am broke I could not get a hotel here so one of you girls will have to host me," Lisa said

"Umm, I'm willing to host you, Lisa, if that's alright by Alya," I said 

"Girl, take her as far away from my house as you can, not because of me but because of my little twin sisters, they cannot and will not sleep when she's near her, I mean them just knowing she's here in Paris will trigger them, and they will not sleep as long as she's in my house," Alya said

"Ok, that was a chunk of concrete information to why Lisa can't sleep with you," I said 

"Hey girls!" Adrien said

"Ew, I don't remember you being so ugly af in New York without all of that makeup and photoshoot, I do wonder sometimes how did Marinette end up in lo-" I put my mouth on top of her, as she kept babbling 

"Lisa, a pleasure to see you again," He said annoyed "Wow, this place is amazing Marinette you have really outdone yourself this time," He said, I was on cloud 9

"Ok, goodbye Adrien, if you didn't notice, we're kinda having a girls time here, you can flirt with Mari later," Alya said as she pushed to the door and kicked the poor boy out

"Oof, finally he left, Lisa I don't know about you but I'm a lukanette shipper till the end," Alya said 

"My girl, I created that thing and am glad that you are now your speaking my language," Lisa said as she winked

"What's lu-lukanette?" I asked

"Try to guess," Alya said

"Well lukanette, theres luka and nette? wait..." I started blushing "Th-there's Luka a-and ma-ma-Marinette," I fainted and woke up in my room

"Where am I?" I asked

"At your house," Luka said as he put a wet towel on my forehead

"Huh? what happened?" I asked

"Lisa and Alya called me and told me you had fainted and needed me to take care of you while they went to get ice cream and catch up with each other," He said

"Oh, ok," I said

"Yeah, so do you want to watch a movie, play a game," Luka suggested. he seemed nervous while talking, and I mean I can't blame him I was as nervous as him, honestly even more. 

"Umm, let's play a game," I said,

"ok, what board games do you have?" He asked

"Monopoly, clue, uno," I started listing 

"Let's play monopoly," he said as he took the box out of the closet, i stood up and sat down in the floor

"Wanna order pizza? It's easier than making it ourselves," He said

"sure, im fine with whatever flavor," I said as I set the gameboard on the floor 

"ok," So he called the pizza and order a medium pepperoni pizza, and that how we spend our afternoon

"Hey, I have to ask you something," Luka said

"Umm, sure what is it?" I asked

"Iknowyou'regoingwithadrientothedancebutiwantedtoaskyououttoonedanceifyoudontwantto itsalrightimeanyoudonthavetosayyesitsalrightyoudonthavetoworryaboutme," Luka said as he blushed, and he kept rambling until I almost fainted "Mari!" He said as he grabbed me 

 "Umm, su-sure I w-would love t-to dance wi-with you," I said as I stood up

"Ok, we're back what did we miss," Alya said as she opened the door, thank the lord! she had just saved us from the most awkward moment in history

"We ate pizza and played board games," I said 

"Great because we brought dessert," Lisa announced,

"Cool, from where?" Lukas asked

"Andre's and he gave us a little card with the ice cream description on it, he also says hi to Luka and you Mari," Alya said as she handed each the ice cream with a post-it on it. 

"Blueberry for his eyes, coconut for his smile, and watermelon for his heart," I read aloud "yummy!"

"Blackberry for her hair, peach for her lips, and strawberry for her secret," Luka read aloud "Well I must get going he said as he grabbed his stuff "Juleka must be worried about me,"  

"Hey, can you drive me home?" Alya asked

"Sure, grab your stuff," He responded, and they left 

"SOoOo, how'd it go?" Lisa asked me "to be honest, I really thought he would ask you out to the dance or something like that," She said as she sat down on my bed

"Adrien did first ask me to the dance, but then Luka asked me to a dance with him," I said as I sat next to her 

"AHHHH, I mean ever since the day we were at the hospital as newborns I knew this was gonna happen," 

"uh ha? how so?" I asked intrigued

"well your Marinette Bridgette Dupain- Cheng and I'm Lisa Mary Dunnell Cesaire, so we were next to each other in the newborn's room,"  

{ A/N I kinda ran out of ideas for Lisa's name so she got an ugly one.} 

"and what does that have to do?" I asked, knowing perfectly well what was going to come, after all, she's Lisa my best friend.

"Well we started talking in baby talk," She said, I was confused like really confused... "I first said Ahababa, meaning - do you believe we'll be going to our first dance in just 17 years? and you said Ebebubu, meaning -yeah I can totally believe that, then I said gugubi, meaning -you'll probably be in a love triangle and I will be there to witness two guys falling in love with you and you falling back in love with them, while having a super big secret only one of them knows and that makes your relationship with him tighter but your feelings for the other guy will blind you from noticing that you need to be with the other guy, and you said lagu, meaning - that is very specific and I doubt it will happen-, and I said lalagaga, meaning -I know you so well, you just wait and see-. and well you waited and BOOM you saw!" She said 

"Wow that was so long and specific that in the meantime I could have sorted out my feeling for Luka and Adrien," I said joking

"ja.ja.ja," She responded annoyed 

"Well wanna watch a movie?" I asked since we could stay up until late

"Before that, we're gonna show each other our dance dresses!" Lisa said

"Sure, why not?" I said 

"I'll change in my closet, you can change in the bathroom," I said 

"Alright close your eyes and ill grab mine and go into the bathroom, then you can take yours and go to the closet," Lisa said 

"Alright go!" I said as I closed my eyes

"your turn!" Lisa screamed from the bathroom 

"OK, well tell each other when we're done putting them on, okay?" I screamed as I grabbed my dress and went into the closet

"Oki Doki!" She screamed back. I had taken so long to design and sew my dress, almost 4 months to do it all, and I was very proud of it. It was a high low light blue dress with a shoulder strap it had to be very accurate for it not to fall off my body, I also added some decoration which was pretty hard to add, but it was all worth it in the end, I loved that dress it was my best creation until that day. 

{A/N the dress looks like this, bc this is how I imagine my future homecoming/prom dress to be :)} 

-are you going to put your shoes on?- I texted her since my throat was too sore to keep screaming -ofc girl, u?- she texted back -sure- I responded, I never learned how to walk on high heels since I never needed to wear them, so I decided to wear my favorite pair of tennis shoes, converse shoes. - u ready?-  I texted -fs- She texted back -At the count of three?- 

"3!, 2!, 1!" We screamed as we both opened the door and ran into the room

"GIRL! You look AMAZING!" Lisa said as she shook me

"Calm down you look incredible as well," I said as I tried to set myself free from her powerful grasp. She had a beautiful long red wine dress that was way more intricate than mine.

"I love your dress Lisa, it's so pretty I don't know where you get all of your inspiration from!" I said as I gazed at the dress. 

"My girl I bought the dress but I can tell you did yours, you added your lucky Ladybug in it," She said 

{A/N; there is no ladybug on the actual picture dress but in my story there is. Marinette always like ladybugs so as her personal touch she added a ladybug to all of her outfits, ik its different to what the series says but I thought it was cute} 

then the phone started ringing, it was Alya calling us 

"Aly, what do you need?" Lisa asked 

"Lis, Mari you won't believe what just happened, Nino asked me out!" She said so happily as we three started screaming

"okay Aly, TELL US EVERYTHING, like every single detail," I said 

"OK, but before let me see your prom dresses," She said, and we both left the phone on the shelf that hung from above my desk and took a couple of steps back

"WHAT! no fair you guys have talent and taste!" she said as we three chuckled

"You saw ours so can we see yours, like on the hanger?" Lisa asked

"Sure look here it is," She said as she got up and picked the dress from the closet

"Wow, Alya it's beautiful," I said mesmerized 

"Nora gave me this dress from her dance," she said

"Ok so we showed each other our dresses so now it's your turn to tell us EVERYTHING!" Lisa said as she shook the phone

"Ja, well then okay get cozy cause this is a long story," Alya said

We spend the next hour talking and laughing about Nino, Luka, Adrien, and pretty much everything else that was in our lives, I felt like a child again, laughing without any motive.

- You must be the change you wish to see in the world. I have been told that over and over in my life, but never really believed that until I became ladybug, I know to want to change the world, and know that if I want to see changes I must make them myself, and I know that I have people next to me at all time-
