Ch. 9: Preparations

Hi guys, this will be the penultimate chapter of this book and I'm super excited!!! and a really long chapter so, get your popcorn.

"I'll get going," He said still shocked

"Don't this isn't what it looks like," I said back

"You're the mysterious ladybug hero that saved Paris with her magic and your partner the black cat today,"

"Ok it is exactly how it looks like but what are you doing here," I said trying to change subjects

"I saw a hiring poster outside of the bakery and Mr. and Mrs. Dupain - Cheng told me to come here so you can interview me," He said

"Alright, Luka take a seat and i'll interview you," I calmly said. the interview went really well and we hired him as our cashier register 20$ the hour. We talked for hours after that and we sorted the whole ladybug issue, and he promised he wouldn't tell anyone, then we went to the park that was right next to my house and he played his guitar, it was beautiful.

"Wow, Luka your guitar playing skills are amazing where did you learn?" I asked

"While I was traveling with my father around the world on our free time he taught me to play the guitar, he also taught me to play other instruments like the piano and the violin, but my favorite is the guitar," he answered back "Speaking about that, would you like to come to our practice later?"

"My pleasure," I said. And before we knew it was time to go to Lukas practice, we got into his bike and I got to see Paris as night time,  and I was mesmerized 

"Wow, Paris is beautiful at night," I said

"Yeah, I can agree," He said back, when I got a text

"Are you free right now?" I read aloud while looking at my phone

"Who is it?" Luka asked

"It's ADRIEN! ahh what am I gonna do, uh, uh I dont know!" I started panicking 

"Tell him you are free," he said 

"But I am not,"

"Well Adrien's more important that a practice," He said

"Alright," I said while texting 

"Great meet me at the grand restaurant at 8:30," I real aloud "But it's 8:00 already and isn't it one of the most expensive restaurants in town? I heard that a salad costs over 50 dollars!"

"I went there once, it was my birthday and Adrien took me there. The food isnt as good as they say it is," He said and I chuckled "Accept it, I have everything under control," he said as we got to the boat house "CODE BLUE! CODE BLUE!" he started screaming and everybody started moving, Juleka took me into her room and told me to change into a simple pretty pink ruffled dress, and Rose did my makeup while Luka did my hair, and when I looked into the mirror I could barely recognize myself!

"Wow! this is amazing I can barely recognize myself!" I said astonished

"one last piece missing, there we go," Luka said as he put my butterfly necklace on, and I blushed a little but the makeup didn't let it see.

"Ok, 8:15 this time we're going in my car," He said as he grabbed the keys

"You drive a car?" I asked

"Yeah, now lets go!" His fading voice screamed, I ran out and into his car

"Ok, I'm not ready for this but lets go!" I said as he speed up the highway, and we there in 10 minutes

"Wow, Marinette you look gorgeous," Adrien said as I stepped out the car "May you be going inside, there is something I must speak with Luka," 

"Alright thanks Luka!" I said as I entered the tall fancy looking building 

"Look, Marinette is mine so you better step back," He said with an authoritative voice

"She is not yours okay, and she is not mine, she doesnt belong to anyone, and is free to choose anyone. Because Marinette is the most amazing girl, as clear as a musical note and as sincere as a melody, she's the music that has been playing inside of my head ever since the day I met her, and dont you think it hurts that she is in love with you?! it hurts so much but I want her happiness and only her happiness even if it means sacrificing mine!" Luka said as he got back in the car 

"W-what was th-that?" I shakily asked 

"It seemed like a love declaration to me!" Tikki said excited

"Sorry for the wait Marinette, are you ready?" He happily asked me

"Yeah, lets go!" I said.

It was a lovely night but I couldnt stop thinking about what Luka had told him. Days passed they turned into months, thousands of de acumatized people, and I became really close to chat, I learned to blindly trust. I got really close to alya, we told each other almost everything and by that I mean that I couldn't tell her I was ladybug, even though sometimes I die trying not to tell her, classes were really boring as usual. But before I knew it it was only a couple days to the homecoming dance, and I was chosen to be in t.e.p.p.t or The Elite Party Preparation Team, we chose the name ;) 

"Lisa! I don't know what to do, I have started feelings things for Luka, but there is Adrien and they are really close friends so no matter who I choose , I end up losing because I will ruin their friendship! I dont know Lisa I'm so confused help me girl!" I said 

"Dont worry, just go with the flow," she said

"Stop joking around girl I'm serious," I said

"yeah yeah, girl just follow your instincts," she confidently said 

"My instincts are the ones who got me into this mess," I told her disappointedly

"When we where seven and we got into detention, who made a deal with the director and got us out of trouble?" She asked

"2 weeks of cleaning the cafeteria, all just for a perfect score," I said as I chuckled

"your laugh is very cute," Luka said as he stood in the doorway to my room, I looked at him and unknowingly pointed the phone towards him 

"AHHHHHHHH! Lisa fangirled through the phone! My Oh My,  He's cute cuter than Mr. model for sure," She said as I blushed red  

"Bye," I said

"Nooo-" I hanged up 

"sorry about that Lisa is...," I said still flustered

"spontaneous?," he asked

"yeah," I said as I chuckled

"Well im ready for my shift," he said as i stood up 

"very well lets begin!" i said as i put on my apron, and went downstairs to open the store

"luka are you coming downstairs?" I asked as i unlocked the front door

"Yeah, i just need to tie my shoe," He screamed from above

"alright!" I said back

"Hello Sir, what may i help you with," I kindly asked

"I demand to speak with Mr. Dupain and Mrs. Dupain- Cheng!" he said 

"Oh um, sir unfortunately they are not here but, if you wish to speak with them i can make you an appointment for tomorrow," i said

"and who are you? a mere worker," he said

"excuse me? you are talking to the daughter of Mr. dupain and Mrs. Dupain- cheng, if it makes you feel any better, i am that mere worker," Luka said confronting that man

"Oh, look your boyfriend has to defend you," He mockingly said, 

"number one, he is not my boyfriend. number two, sir if your not going to do an appointment please leave the store," i said trying to ignore the fact that he just assumed Luka was my boyfriend

"fine, ill make the damn appointment," He said as i handed him the paper

"name, and phone number, ill call you whenever my parents are free to speak with you," I said, he mumbled and gave me the paper 

"thank you have a good day!" I said as he went out the door, i sighed. The rest of the day went all right it was just more exhausting since my parents weren't there but with luka we managed to do it

"And were closed!" i said as i switched the poster on the door 

"where a pretty good team if i may say so," he said "One thing, could you teach me how to bake a cake? its julekas birthday soon and i wanted to surprise her with that," 

"really? well then lets get messy!" I said "Put the apron on, ill get the ingredients,"

"Ok, so what do we have here?" He asked

"simple, 1/2 cup. unsalted butter, softened, 1 1/2 cups. sugar 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon. salt, 3 1/2 teaspoons. baking powder,  1 1/4 cups. whole milk, 1 teaspoon. vanilla. but theres something missing, flour!" I said as i ran to go get it "AHHH!!" I screamed as i fell and threw the flour into the air, and in lukas attempt to grab me he fell with me, we both chuckled as we opened our eyes and realized the situation we where in, i fell to the ground and he fell on top of me he was so close and with his beautiful blue deep eyes, he had chapped lips and my mind wondered how it felt to kiss them, but soon those thought were interrupted as someone entered the shop and we got up immediately and tried to hide our embarrassment

"so much for trying to get messy," I said i grabbed to wipes and gave one to luka 

"Im sorry but the shop is closed," I said as i wiped the excess flour of me, and walked toward the cashier register 

"I'm not here to buy anything," He said as i found out who he was

"Adrien! what are you doing here?" I asked "sorry for the mess we where cooking and had an accident"

"dont worry i think you look really cute like that," I blushed "but the reason i came here was to ask you to be my date for the homecoming dance," 

"wh-what? ummm, i need to think it you know b-because of every," I started muttering

"She would love to accompany you to the dance adrien," Luka interrupted

"great then, meet you here on friday at 8:00," He said as he left

"What just happened?" I asked

"you just got yourself the best possible date for the homecoming dance," he answered, i could see his fake smile, and  some part of me knew that what he said wasn't true, but i was to mesmerized to care  

"Here you go, lets clean and finish baking the cake," he said as he handed me a broom, we finished cleaning up and baking the cake, then we decided to watch a movie in the living room and eat the cake we made, because we weren't gonna let such good cake go to waste and we said goodbye, and tired i went upstairs to my room where i found a note taped to my door.

"So much for tying his shoes," I said as i chuckled "now what?" I said to myself, this time i have to make a decision by myself but before that i must go to sleep and just think about it. 

- roses are red, violets are blue, dear Marinette, may i go to the dance with you?-   

 {A/N; guys this is really badly edited, i promise ill edit it better later but i just finished this chapter and needed to share it with you guys, promise to fix it ^.^}
