Chapter 22: Snake Skin Saint Laurent but it's shark

(Yay we finished season 1!!! The song for today is "Venom" by Eminem so buckle up folks we are going to see a lot!)

Akali's POV

Running towards the fire dragon with my full speed, I sent a powerful kick to it's left cheek. Using the pull of gravity as an advantage, I let my self soar but not relaxed enough to let my guard down as I bared my razor sharp teeth and latched onto it's neck, eating it's raw flesh.

"Spicy......."

My tongue burned in the high temperature of it's meat. It squirmed and screeched as I slowly inch to the bone of it's spine. When I finally bit it off, blood splattered everywhere, but it rendered the dragon useless as it's limp body slumped in defeat.

"Oi system!! Can you not make this vanish?? Dragon's meat is actually delicious....."

"Yosh!"

I chuckled and started to cut it's leg with a kunai. I only took half of it's leg from the leg bone, then I skinned it so it can look like normal meat.

The Sandaime's funeral ended yesterday and I attended to pay respects. Surprisingly, the people weren't too sad about his death because of the reason that he was smiling until his last breath. Ah what mushy people.

So before it gets even mushier, I left. After that I focused on training and killing bosses in ID create until the system forcibly kicks me out and bans me for 3 hours. But even so, I came back for more.

The reason why I'm doing this is because that day is nearing. The day where Kisame and Itachi attempts to kidnap Naruto. As for finding out who I really am, the system already made me a bunch of top class quest to go with my story line. Like for example:

There's many more to list but the rest are already sub quests. So after eating the rest of the Dragon's leg, I was forcefully kicked out of ID create and onto my room.

"Ahh none to do for another 3 hours......I guess takoyaki break is a must!"

I hummed happily and took a quick bath, cubed the dragon meat so it won't look suspicious and set off. My guard is up the whole time, specially since I know I'm being watched. Yesterday night......something happened that wasn't supposed to. Danzo.

~Flashback~

All of the people are starting to depart the Hokage building and seeing as it was already afternoon, I decided to take a nap. As I walked towards my apartment, I felt a presence following close by. But I'm no fool.

So without alerting the stalker who follows me, I went for a detour to the market, stopping in one of it's dark alleyways.

"Come out, whoever you are."

I said and was surprised to see someone important to the plot. Danzo. His sinister smile was enough to send chills down my spine, but I steeled my self.

"Clever of you to lead me in a place with many civilians. You know I wouldn't make a move on Konoha's people. Well done Akali-chan."

"You flatter me Danzo-san. I was only acting upon instinct. Had I known it was you who followed me, I would've gladly talked to you. My apologies for being weaker than your expectations."

I almost puked at my "respectfullness". Damn.

"I'm not going to make this longer. I want you to work for me, as an ROOT ANBU. I've seen your capabilities during the chunnin exams and I wanted to enhance your potential. Be my subordinate and I will make you-"

"Forgive my disrespect, but I decline."

I cut him off before he can even finish talking. I've seen his deeds. He is evil, and I remember wanting to kill him for it so even if it endangers my daily life in Konoha, I would never work for him. It doesn't benefit me anyway.

"And why is that?"

"I am sent to Konoha only as a representative for Udon no Kuni. And seeing as the Sandaime Hokage is dead, I plan on going back to my homeland and staying there for good. So please, do not attempt the futile."

That's a load of crap of course. I don't even know what I'm gonna do after Tsunade is elected Hokage yet. But I didn't let it show and walked away, strengthening my decline.

"You'll regret it Akali. You'll regret you even disrespected me!"

~Flashback end~

See? He's not doing anything yet and I still feel regret. I should've knew better than to talk to that plain human scum.

"Pollux isn't back too........that shark bastard. I bet he's having fun with Shikamaru. Oh well."

I hummed and subconsciously walked towards TakoYuzuri. It must be muscle memory since I was planning on a small detour. But here I am still.

"Akali!!!! Just in time!! I made a bento for you!"

I raised my eyebrows in surprise. Wow they're actually bustling with customers considering the damage that Orochimaru caused to Konoha. I'm happy to know that they manage to make a living in this crisis.

"Hi Yuzuri-nee. I'll take this.....and I'll give you this."

I said and handed her three big tubs of dragon meat.

"I marinated beef with a little salt and spice. I hope this makes takoyaki more delicious....."

"Aaaaah! As much as I want to, this isn't the right shop.......you can give that to Yakiniku Q, but you're not that close to them huh....... no matter! I'll make sure that this gets to them! Here, take a tub. In case you want to make homemade grills!"

She gave me a blinding smile and quickly rushed inside and talked to Yuzo. I chuckled and took the bento, left some money on the table and left. I don't want to bother them any longer by staying.

"I wonder if I should invite Choji over? Oh....maybe I should cook this as a sorry to Juichiro. He was kinda mad at me last time wasn't he?"

I sighed. I should buy an electric grill. Or make one. Should I ask Takeshi ji-chan to make one? I sighed once more and dropped by again to my apartment room, when I heared something...or no someone in a hurry. I quickly hid myself behind my door and watched on the small hole in it to see Naruto carrying a carelessly packed bag full of his belongings.

Wait!!!!

My eyes widened and I too, rushed to my closet in a hurry. I opened my inventory and stuffed 2 sets of clothes and just carelessly tossed the bag of dragon meat inside there too. I looked at the window in my room and saw Naruto running towards the gates in speed. I'll be able to keep up! Too bad I have to stay behind them because I don't know where they are going.......

I used elegance and kept my presence a secret so that I wouldn't be sensed by the blonde. Jiraiya or Kurama will anyway so I already started to think of excuses why I need to go with them. After all I can't just say my real goal.

"Hmm.......let's say a smart thing. No wait. I'll just say that when I was gonna go borrow something from Naruto, I couldn't find him there so I followed him. Ah yeah that's it."

"Where is Naruto? He should've come here....."

"Ah well he and Jiraiya-san ate ramen and said that they were going some small lodging place near Konoha."

I passed by Ichikaru only to hear the ramen guy talking to the Uchiha. I knew I have to go faster since that duck haired emo probably knows that Itachi is after Naruto........

"He did say somewhere near Konoha....a lodging somewhere near Konoha......hey system, open map."

I thought and run through the gates faster than the eye could see.

"Let's see.....the nearest I could find here is.......Osatafuku? Otafuku? Wait that's takoyaki sauce.......ah whatever. As long as I spot a place that starts with the letter O near Konoha then I'm done."

I swipped the tab away and inhaled deeply. His scent shouldn't have fade that easily since the ramen guy told that they just ate........for now, I'll trust my instincts. And fast too. I need to go there first before Sasuke gets to interfere with my top class quest.

My eyes widened as I felt Naruto's chakra flair from a distance. No wait, it isn't that far off! I could find him quickly with this!

"Oi you damn brat! Have you no intention of getting me back from that lazy bastard's place?! I almost starved to death!!!"

"Oh shut up. I'll feed you dragon meat later but I need to borrow your power for now. Today's the day I'm really gonna need your all."

To be honest, I'm surprised that he even wanted to come back. But then again, I'm too busy to care right now.

I entered the small town and wasted no time to be distracted as I darted from place to place, trying to find which apartment has Naruto's aura.

"There. The semi fancy one. Climb the second floor's third window."

"Yeah? Thanks."

Once I saw the window Pollux was talking about, I jumped up and gripped the frames, launching myself inside a simple room where a surprised Naruto awaited.

"Kacchan??! How did you find me dattebayo??? Or why did you??"

"I was about to cook your weekly healthy meal but you weren't there so I thought you were kidnapped."

"Pollux, surround this place with that barrier of yours and keep guard outside. Once I give the signal, you'll eat this place whole. NO CHEWING understand?"

"Alright alright! I'll do that."

I smiled at Naruto and sat beside him, gesturing him to get closer, which he did. So I whispered,

"Naruto ask no questions. Don't do anything brash."

"But-"

"I said no questions!! Do what you're doing before I came."

I whisper-shouted. He nodded hesitantly and summoned two clones, forming a hand seal and utilizing his chakra.

"Wow.....he's multiplying. While doing chakra control. That's nice."

All was well until a knock interrupted the silence. I swallowed the lump inside my throat. For the first time in my life it's like I'm going eye to eye with death once more......

"To think that this kid has the nine tails inside of him....."

When Kisame came to view, I was back to my senses. So as a normal person would, I pulled Naruto back by holding his eyes close, and keeping as much distance to us and the two Akatsuki.

"Whatever you do, don't stare at his eyes. It's the same as Kakashi's and Sasuke's right?"

I slowly loosened my grip around him, and he nodded.

"Then you already know it's dangers. For now........you're the one I'll protect."

I said and stood in front of Naruto, putting my attention towards the two.

'Observation'

[Itachi Uchihalvl: ???

Kisame Hoshigaki lvl: ???]

I chuckled at the inevitable. They're too strong to even be recognized by the system......so I already know what would happen if I say a thing wrong.

'Save point three.'

I took a deep breath, now focusing back to reality.

"Hm?? Who's this? She's quite knowledgeable about us. Shall I kill her?"

I almost pissed my pants right then and there, for the coldness in his voice doesn't even come close to that of an ice.......it exceeds it.

I furrowed my brows in concentration. I didn't feel to scared thanks to gamer's mind forcibly keeping me passive, but still. With all of my courage, I spoke.

"You........Kisame Hoshigaki. Ex shinobi of the mist....."

His eyebrows raised in amusement as he anticipated the next thing I'm going to say.

".....why do you look like me?"

Is all I could manage to squeak out as he stared at me with confusion. Oh yeah....

I lowered my hitai-ate down to my neck and folded my sleeves upwards, showing the gills I've accumulated through my evolution. His white beady eyes widened as I finally found a foundation strong enough to keep my voice from cowering in fear.

"Underneath your eyes and mine......they're the same. I need to know. Who am I to look like you?"

"It's been a long time. Sasuke."

Itachi spoke that made me and Naruto look behind him....... to see Sasuke who's eyes are ablaze with the sharingan.

"Hm. Looks like we both have our mini's huh?"

Kisame stated with his sharp toothed grin as Sasuke looked at Naruto, then at me.

"Itachi Uchiha..........I'll kill you!!!"

Sasuke shouted without hesitation and rushed towards Itachi who easily blocked his chidori without batting an eyelid. I growled, feeling Kurama's chakra surrounding Naruto. This is bad, this will escalate if-

"Too slow"

With that, Kisame just sliced through that chakra like he was cutting butter.

"Why?! Why isn't it working dattebayo?!"

"My samehada can eat that chakra of yours. Maybe we should cut your arms before your legs after all. Save the trouble for your petty techniques"

He said and raised his sword. Agh f*ck this sh*t. This is dire enough!!

"Pollux!!! Megalodon!! Now!"

"You- huu?"

Just as Jiraiya made his oh so grand entrance, Pollux already devoured the whole building, entrapping us in a dark place where water reach a little above our ankles.

"Beast mastery: Charybdis."

Said a voice that echoed inside the megalodon's stomach, making an abyss of teeth appear below the two. Charybdis. A great ancient myth that is said to guard the waters with it's powerful teeth. They still stood perfectly fine above it's jaws, but one wrong move they make, it'll eat them alive.

"Don't forget me."

"I never did."

Kisame said seriously and walked towards my direction. My whole body tensed in distrust as I jumped back further away. I......I could've sworn I saw a flash of emotion in his eyes but it was quickly buried away.

"Open your eyes."

"No. The moment I open my eyes you'll try and cast me with a genjutsu."

I spat venomously.

"Then tell me........what happened to you."

Heh, and that wasn't even a question. I am sure both of us are so f*cking unsure on how to deal with our situation so I decided to take the lead and get on with it. Here goes my very first back story telling.

"I don't know either. My first memories......waking up in a forest in a young age with no one to ask for help. I was relentlessly attacked by wild bears. wolves. And I had to learn how to hunt in the age of 9. Bandits then started to torment me. They get whatever they want from me and when I can't give anymore, I was forced to work for their luxury. I killed them when I've got the strength to finally deal with them. And do you think that ends there? No. It was late when I had known about the bloodline purge that was going on in the mist and I was targeted by f*cking mercenaries who thought that my eyes are as special as the f*cking sharingan! I learned how to fight with my eyes closed, because someday, I know they'll be able to over power me! Someday, they'll be successful in taking the eyes that isn't even that special! You want to see my eyes? Here! Have a look!"

Third Person's POV

Amidst the darkness, Akali's glowing cerulean eyes shimmered like crystals. But those beautiful orbs became pools of anger and sadness. Finally, with this her true self was shown. Her frustrations from playing with death every second of here life finally poured out of her mouth.

"Everyday I ask why do I deserve that life. Why am I left alone to die?! I never did anyone wrong! So why......"

Kisame was speechless the entire time as he watched the white haired girl hold back her tears.

"If I hadn't knew any better, I would've believed you. Too bad you came down with a bad case of evilness."

"I'm glad you say so."

She frowned and forcibly wiped down the fake waterworks in her eyes. The sadness was fake sure, but the stress and trauma she felt, trying to watch her back every second of the day was real. And even though her heart was already made of stone, her sense of logic still crumbles beneath each hardship that she has to fight tooth and nail with.

She quickly closed her eyes and brought her hitai-ate back up, leaving only one eye open seeing Sasuke move from behind. Itachi looked at him coldly,

"I have no interest in fighting you right now."

That of course enraged the younger Uchiha, continuing on attacking his older brotherr even if the gap on ther power is extremely overwhelming.

"Shut up Akali! This is my fight!"

"I wasn't going to interfere."

I glared at Sasuke who fought Itachi on the back, while Kisame blocked us from helping him. I continued my hum shortly, giving Naruto a shield on his health bar and forming a bijudama in my hand. Kisame smirked.

"You make me proud....Akali was it? Still having the strength to make a jutsu even after summoning such a large animal, better yet, a megalodon! Where did you find him?"

"The bastard said he has interest in me. Can you believe that?"

"HAHAHHAHA! They sure tend to be cocky no? Sharks are the symbol of greed after all. Is he part of the clan?"

"Not really. Maybe? He said he was the king....."

"Oho? The king? You keep getting interesting little shark."

I shook my head in disappointment. Are we bonding over the arrogance of shark summons???

"You still haven't answered my question Kisame Hoshigaki. Let me make this clear. Who am I and how do you know me?"

The frown was back on his face, like every time I ask him reminds him of a bad memory.

"I don't know kid. But if you really want to know.......ask a woman named Asuga Yuki. She might know."

"And where can I find her?"

"Kirigakure."

"How am I sure you're not planning on killing me there?"

"I'm notorious there. Why would I risk it for a scrawny girl?"

"I don't know.....cause you want to be the only Hoshigaki alive?"

Our conversation was cut short when Sasuke's screams echoed inside Pollux's stomach. It has begun. It must be hard for him huh.

"Heh. Cruel. He just used Tsukuyomi against his brother."

Kisame said as all three of use watch Sasuke loose the life in his eyes.

"You bastard!! Stop!"

"Naruto wait!"

Before I could even stop him, Naruto ran forth in attempt to save his teammate, but Kisame followed him so without thinking twice,

"Pollux, drop them."

"Aye aye."

The waters inside his stomach then started swirling around Charybdis as it's teeth started to chomp on everything it deems as food.

"Ah sh*t.....Pollux is too big to contain them."

I looked at Jiraiya whom nodded and wove his own hand seals faster than any normal shinobi, making his frog stomach inside Pollux's stomach.

[Disgusting.]

Sensing the danger enclosing them, Itachi called out to Kisame who gave me one last look, before following his partner away from the wall of stomach muscle.

Jiraiya flinched. Ah. So they escaped.

"AAAAAARRRGHHH!!!!!"

My eyes widened in shock. Pollux!

"Pollux!! Revert back to human form quick!!"

I shouted and watched as the whole hotel light up again, the said Shark god falling limp as a small shark that isn't even bigger than my body with a hole aflame with Itachi's Amaterasu.

"I- *wheeze!* I can't......"

I gently cradled him in my arms, but Jiraiya was quick that he prevented me from doing so.

"Don't touch it!"

He said and shielded both me and Naruto away from the flames as he contained it in a scroll. Pollux stopped squirming.

"O-oi sharky......you aren't dead are you???"

"Dumb mortal. You really thought I was going to be get rid off that easily?"

The rush in my heart was slowing down, my breath calming as I almost thought I lost him. It was this close.........

I was this close on finally getting rid of this self entitled God.

"Hmph. You genuinely panicked and yet you still act as if you hate me? I'm hurt too you know?"

"Good to hear that. You're hurting, means you're still alive and still can be tortured. Torture is nice."

"You bastard child...."

I chuckled and looked at Naruto who has now Sasuke in his arms.

"Kacchan! Can you heal him?? You can right?"

I knelt down next to Naruto and checked the Uchiha's pulse. Still breathing, thankfully, but he's still in the brink of death.

"No....I can't. The sharingan is a powerful doujutsu that cannot be dabbled by inexperienced or weak healers. I might cause more damage if I try to reach for his soul with my voice."

I said and carried Sasuke bridal style.

"I think I'll be back to Konoha for now. Someone needs to get this stubborn kid back, and my Pollux is hurt too."

I smiled and ruffled his head.

"So I expect you to be fruitful in this mission with Jiraiya-san okay? Me and Sasuke will be waiting for your help."

I said and jumped from the damaged wall.

"Oi fishy. The restoration??"

"Just snap your fingers."

"Okay."

Just as I jumped outside the wall, I snapped my fingers and made the barrier that Pollux made in effect. It's logic is just like ID create. For example, I damage buildings here and there because of the battle, but once that level is cleared, the barrier dispels and takes every damage I made with it, causing everything to go back to normal.

"Akali!"

"Ohh Gai-san."

I stopped to my tracks and greeted him with a bow.

"Please enter the inn and report to Jiraiya-san. I'll take Sasuke back to Konoha and take him to the hospital."

"Thank you, youthful lotus."

He nodded and flashed his pearly whites, going to where I came from. I wonder if Sakura is going to kill me or thank me?
