Chapter 17: Break my Heart

(Yohoooooo!! Today's song is "Break My Heart" by Dua Lipa!!

Don't ask me why, I just know a lot of songs that matches the mood.

I'm thinking that this will yet be another filler chapter but hey, I like the build up so I can get you guys ready for the chunnin exams arc! So sit back, relax, and enjoy the peace while it lasts kekeke.)

Third Person's POV

Today's blindfold color is light turquoise and surprisingly, Pollux's current vest was the same color. Do they have to wear the same color in their outfit? Akali asked to herself as she walked calmly towards Suzaku and Takeshi's place along with the still floating effortlessly Pollux.

Why is she heading there you may ask?

It's because she wanted to tell Takeshi about the cards. She wasn't completely agree with the idea of having to tell Takeshi herself but she had no choice. Better to come from her than Suzaku himself. She doesn't want any misunderstanding now.

"Why do you wear different colored tuxedos every time? You look like a highschooler."

She winced and looked at his current clothing. She was no stylist or fashionista, but even she can tell that turquoise doesn't mix with red at all.

"I don't know. Unless you want me destroying houses with my megalodon form, you better shut up."

He said that made Akali's eye roll. Not that he sees it anyway. Or maybe he does?

When the humanoid shark duo reached their destination, the white haired knocked on the door three times before entering. There, she saw Takeshi, and as usual, he was forging weapons.

"Ah Akali my child!! Come to ji-chan!!"

Takeshi said and coed at Akali who almost regretted coming at his house.

"But I know you didn't come here without a reason. Is it the cards? Need any repairs or anything?"

He said enthusiastically that made Akali wince.

"Um about that.....um..."

"Yes?"

"It kinda.......it kinda chose someone else."

The reaction on Takeshi's face was unreadable so Akali prepared herself for the worst that was surprisingly.....a lot more calm?

"Tell me what happened child."

Akali looked hesitantly at Pollux, the said bastard disappearing from her sight that made her sigh in slight aggravation.

"So.......

"I see. So they like that girl's chakra more?"

"You can say that."

She said, slightly surprised that Takeshi didn't show any signs of surprise or sadness or whatnot. He looked as if he was thinking deeply instead. Akali was lying if she said that she isn't hella nervous. Suzaku wasn't as dumb as he looks, just what of his father?

"Hm......perhaps I was wrong to give you the cards."

He said and took Akali's hands as if he was reading her fortune or something.

"No, it was a great help specially from you ji-chan. I'm just happy for that friend that received your very special weapon."

She said that was replied with silence. What was the old man doing? She doesn't know. But it doesn't seem to be harmful so she let it happen.

"Hm......did something happen in your mission child?"

He said and stood up, rummaging through his metal chests in search of something that is yet again unknown to Akali.

"You could say......"

She trailed and watched as he came back with a crystal car.

"The reason the cards rejected you is because there has been a tremendous change in your chakra. It became much stronger, much more pure that it may break the cards upon touch. It must've thought that you weren't.....well you weren't you."

He said and placed the card containing Akali's chakra before next to Akali.

In Takeshi's eyes, he saw Akali's chakra as calm as a lake but as deep as the ocean. That never changed, but it was added by what it seems to be a raging tsunami.

"It's as if you have two separate parts to your chakra. One that's big and one that's even bigger."

When Takeshi said that, she immediately knew he was talking about Pollux. The said shark smirking proudly while making my head seem like a pillow for his chin. I resisted the urge to growl.

"Let's talk about my gifts later. Let's head to a training ground after this."

"Hmph."

"What do you suggest I do, ji-chan?"

"Well, I could always give you a new weapon."

"Say no."

"Why? This is a great opportunity to-"

"Unless you want legendary items from a shark god-"

"No thank you ji-chan. I'm really disappointed to loose my cards but I don't want you to bother you......plus, I'm tough. I'll rely on my endurance for now while I find a weapon that will truly suit me."

"Speaking of toughness.......I think I'll fully dedicate those points to VIT. Legendary items here I come nishishi~"

Takeshi smiled and hugged Akali tightly.

"Thank you for worrying about me child. Ah how I wish you were my real grandchild..."

Akali laughed nervously and stood up from her seat, bowing slightly.

"I'm gonna go train now. Ja ne."

"Don't train too hard!"

He waved to the white haired girl as she slowly disappeared from his sight.

Akali started running faster in order to find a training ground quicker because she was hella excited for a legendary items build.

Once she found a big enough training ground for Pollux's megalodon, she stopped there and sat Indian style.

"Now what?"

"Now we discuss about my gifts. When I chose you, I was supposed to give you gifts to make you agree but I guess that's out of the question now."

He said and sat infront of her, his hands glowing as two items protrude from his hands to hers.

"I also gifted you with a fourth of my chakra. You're welcome."

He said with a proud smirk and laid flat on the grass, making Akali's eyes roll.

She thought with a smile and equip the bone claws.

"Here's a little extra. Let's start training after you get used to it."

He said and threw the white haired girl a pair of weights. It was only 20 kilos each, but it was already so heavy for Akali to handle although she is not limping.

"Hm? You're stronger than you look. I didn't— wait those bone claws. Give me your hand"

He didn't even wait for her consent and just took her hands, his palms glowing blue that made the claws shrank to the size of her fingers.

"It'll adjust overtime. Now, that claws aren't just for cutting."

Pollux said and went to Akali's back, raising her left arm before dissappear. Akali was slightly worried but she didn't speak as she was engulfed by darkness and.......a tongue? She's standing on a tongue?

She was indeed, infront of her are rows and rows of sharp pointy teeth that she knows it belongs to Pollux in his megalodon form. His mouth was wide open so she can still see outside.

I he planning on eating her?

"Do the hand signs dog rat ox horse. In that order and take one of my teeth."

Akali nodded and just did what she was told. After weaving the hand signs, she took a tooth which was surprisingly easy, but as soon as the tooth was separated from the gums, water bursted out of the tooth, the actual bone taking a form of a hilt and a water blade forming ontop of it.

Pollux disappeared from underneath Akali and reappeared in front of her, now using his human form.

"That bone claw is the access to all the bones of my body, so you better take care of that."

"Wait what? How are you alive then?"

Akali asked, genuinely confused.

"This me you're seeing today is my soul. My overall true form. Because my real body is what made the waters of this world. My actual big shark body."

"Ah. That explains how you can float. So......technically speaking, you died and your corpse became the oceans of this world?"

"More or less. But my bones still linger, and you can summon it anytime."

"I see........so I can summon as much bones as I want? As big as I want?"

"Heh. Of course, but it'll appear ghastly because it also has the ability to float."

"Hm....that's definitely op. But wouldn't they suspect that I'm a Kaguya because I can control your bones?"

She asked, sitting down and making her character info appear.

"Then make it seems as if it's a shark related jutsu. Here, I'll teach you."

The turquoise haired shark said and formed a horse sign on his right hand and then making his arms block his face.

"Do you see it?"

"Yep wide and clear."

She said with amazement. Although all of these was awesome and all, she wanted to perfect a certain jutsu first.

San Salvador.

It was the jutsu that was given to her in that kingdom so she wanted to master it first before anything else.

"Hm.....did you not like my gifts?"

"I liked it. I just wish I could've practiced  San Salvador before anything else."

"San Salvador? You mean the boat?"

"What? A boat? How can a boat help me?"

Pollux chuckled.

"For a person who has more knowledge above others, you sure are stupid."

"Father ship San Salvador is a legendary pioneer ship that was used to voyage the whole Ninja world. It's name in our past world is Mother ship Santa Maria."

"Oh! The one that Columbus used!"

"Exactly. This is Santa Maria's counterpart, so you better not mess up again."

Akali nodded. She understood what San Salvador is but she still doesn't recognize what it's use will be.

"No matter. If it's a boat made out of water, it'll certainly be interesting to find it's use."

"So you're saying that San Salvador is denying you?"

Pollux said that caught Akali's attention from her day dreaming. She sighed and nodded her head.

"Yep. I don't know what to do. I've put proper control to it, gave it half of my chakra, but only a big wave is coming out."

The white haired girl said, dejected.

"Hm....then maybe it's because you didn't shout the jutsus name properly. Stand up and do it."

Akali rolled her eyes and stood up, the weights pulling her down like crazy but she still managed to do it.

She made a clone of herself which confused Pollux.

"Hey. Go warn the Hokage about the damage."

"Why? He'll obviously say no."

"He has ninjas to take care of this. It'll be fine."

"Hmph."

The clone argued before running off to the distance, and after it was gone from her sight, she took a deep breath.

Weaving San Salvador's hand signs as fast as possible, she turned to the forest part of the training ground and looked at Pollux.

"Say Father ship San Salvador."

"Water Style: Father ship San Salvador!"

She shouted and suddenly fell down, as if the life was being drained from her. But all of it was worth it, seeing a great turquoise ship in front of her was worth the 89 000 chakra that she used.

Although there was no destruction around her seeing that the water boat itself was being cradled with water beneath it.

"You're really stupid. You put too much chakra and made it unnecessarily big."

Pollux said and carried Akali piggy back style, jumping on the ship and letting her down on it's round helm.

"Congratulations captain."

She squealed and run through the ship, swung on the ropes, kissed the floor boards and hugged the shark that was in front of the ship like she wasn't running with 20 kilos on both of her legs.

Pollux shook his head with amusement. It must really be a treat for her to just burst out shouting like that huh? He can tell, because it was the first time in millennias that he felt a little more stronger than he was before, thinking that he can't be anymore stronger than he already is.

"Don't get excited yet brat. You still have a lot to learn when it comes to boats."

"Yeah sure! As long as I can use this to destroy nations, survival won't be a problem anymore! BWAHAHAHHAHA"

The white haired girl said excitedly before jumping outside the ship, Pollux doing the same, only landing a lot more softer.

"You can go now San Salvador."

Akali said with a smile and watched as the ship vanished into beautiful blue petals. Ah, how nice to finally be assured that she can face the Suna Invasion.

Wait.

Akali rubbed her head, thinking that it was weird. She haven't even have a  formal plan when she meets Orochimaru out of coincidence yet she subconsciously planned on how to survive the invasion itself?

It was Akali's first time to feel dumb for being so smart.

[Hey hey! Stop praising yourself too much! It's disgusting!]

"You're just jealous nishishi."

"Akali? What was that? And who is that beside you?"

Akali shivered as she slowly turned around, afraid of who saw Pollux and San Salvador all in one place.

Out of all the people in the world, it just had to be Sasuke Uchiha doesn't it?

Pollux noticeably smirked and slung an arm around Akali's shoulder, smirking at the Uchiha whilst teasing the white haired girl.

"That was a jutsu I learned. And this, is my clone that I tired using transformation jutsu on."

Akali glared at Pollux with all her might that made him chuckle, transforming himself to look like her with a jutsu, and disappearing with a puff of smoke. Just like that, she was clear of suspicion.

She cackled mentally.

Sasuke's eyes narrowed. He was clearly suspicious of the white haired girl but he kept his mouth shut because he doesn't know what actually happened. The only thing he knew was that there was a sudden burst of chakra that came from this direction, and when he found out that it was Akali's fault, he was intrigued.

He didn't knew that a girl from his class was this strong.

"Let's spar."

He said and took a step forward to Akali, who smirked stopping him before he gets even closer.

"Sure. But I make the rules."

"Hn."

"I'll take that as a yes. First, you have 5 minutes to beat me. Second, answer my questions without asking why or how."

"Heh. Sure. Ask."

"Is Zabuza and Haku dead?"

"H—

"Once you finish that sentence I will not spar with you."

Sasuke gritted his teeth.

"Yes."

"Did you unlock your sharingan?"

Sasuke's eyes widened. How does she know about this?! He needs to know why is she asking this things! She wasn't even with them! Why does she know something that doesn't even concern her?!

"Yes. Now enough with the questions. Let's fight."

He said and immediately pounced at Akali for a punch which.........

She took?

Sasuke stood confused as Akali's nose started bleeding. What is she up to now?

"I see. Would it be offending if I ask you to activate it while we fight?"

Sasuke rolled his eyes.

"Fine. If that will make you fight me"

He said and lunged at Akali once again, not giving her any time to prepare as his kick landed on her shoulder, making her stumble and roll on the grass floor.

"Hm. Are you going easy on him? I do not like letting your opponents win."

"Just shut up and watch me. He's got nothing on me."

Akali thought with a smirk, taking it easy and letting the Uchiha hit her to aggravate him.

"First off, I want to test my endurance. And to do that, I'll have to make him loose cool and let him attack relentlessly."

She smiled and "dodged" the punch that grazed her cheek. She then bent low, wanting to send a kick to Sasuke which he obviously blocked, taking a hold of her feet and flipping her, making her head slam to the ground.

Sasuke's forehead creased.

Was she always this predictable?

Meanwhile, Akali who lost one fourths of her health smirked. His sharingan is basically useless in this fight since he wouldn't dare copy her moves, and she hasn't made a single hand sign, at least, not one visible to him.

She never knew it was fun to just let someone beat her up.

[You're a masochist. Blegh.]

Not quite. She loves aggravating her opponents to the point that they just give up. Interesting, but I had enough. Fight back this instant."

Akali rolled his eyes and jumped back from Sasuke's incoming fist, running around his back that it made her seem like she vanished.

Sasuke frantically looked for the white haired girl until he felt arms around his torso.

"What the— what do you think you're doing?"

Sasuke said, feeling Akali smirk behind him.

"Oh Sasuke, not everyone thinks you're so cool."

She said before tightening her arms around his torso and bending her back in an ungodly position, making his head hit the ground with a pretty loud thump.

[BAHAHHAAHH SHE JUST GERMAN SUPLEXED HIM BAHAHAHHAHA]

"Oooooh.......should I get him to a hospital? He...he passed out...."

Akali said to herself with a sweatdrop and made another clone.

"Take this kid to the hospital. Stay by his side until he wakes up to rub it in his face."

Her clone smirked and mock saluted.

"Aye aye~"

The clone said and took Sasuke, carried him piggy back style and disappeared from her sight.

Pollux was now sitting beside her, looking as if he was about to do something mischievous.

Akali just sighed and went on. She's going to replenish her chakra first before actually training in a dungeon with San Salvador.

"I suggest you train your stamina endurance and enlargen your chakra reserves more. You may be above your peers, but you still wear down easily."

"Hai hai. I'm gonna go and get takoyaki. Get invisible or something. I don't want explaining you qny further."

She said and walked out the training ground with a floating Pollux above her head. Both were casually heading down at TakoYuzuri as if they were friends hanging out.

"I know you're somewhere out there, somewhere far away~♫︎"

"I want you back........I want you back."

Akali looked impressed at Pollux who was surprisingly singing a pretty good song. It was Talking to the Moon by Bruno Mars, and the shark god looked like he was actually enjoying just casually floating around and humming melodies.

"My neighbors think I'm crazy! But they don't understand~♫︎"

"You're all I had.......you're all I had."

She chimed in quietly, catching some people's attention as she walked forward.

"At night when the stars light up my room~"

"I sit by myself~"

"Talking to the moon~☾︎♫︎"

Akali stared at Pollux who stared right back, contemplating if they actually blended their voice perfectly as if they were singing in a choir.

"Hi Akali-chan! Still has a lovely voice I see."

Juichiro said that cut her off her thoughts, along with Jhin who tagged along as if they were looking for something.

"Thanks. What's up with you two?"

"Oh we're just hoping to find you and sensei. We wanted to do a d rank so we can wind down from the last mission."

"Hm......ji-chan said that he's still asleep. Let's wake him up."

Akali said with a smirk and turned, heading back from where she came from when suddenly, she heared it.

"Shizumu you ni tokete yuku you ni~"

"What the fu—"

"You alright?"

The white haired girl was confused on why the song was playing in her head again. She isn't even dreaming about that man and yet the song was bothering her again.

"Yeah. Let's go."

She said and ignored the concerned gazes of her teammates. As they walked further, the song got louder but not in a way that it was deafening. It's almost as if it was warning her about something approaching.

"Why did I agree to this again? Oh wait, I didn't."

"Don't be such a lazy bones Jhin-chan, we need to have our pay remember?"

"Yeah yeah we— oof!"

Akali and Juichiro looked at Jhin who glared at the person that he bumped into, the said person looking unfamiliar to both Akali and Juichiro.

"Heh. That's why you look weird. They're Suna nin!"

Akali's left eyebrow raised suggestively. This is about that time when team 7 meets the suna siblings. Did they bring back up?

"As if you look any better?"

A blonde bimbo said and rolled her eyes, patting off the nonexistent dirt on her shoulder.

"I'm sorry—"

"You should be."

Juichiro's left eye twitched, smiling as innocently as possible as his brother prevents him from pouncing at the b*tch.

"What are you doing here anyway? This isn't your turf."

"Heh. Stupid tree huggers. We're here for chunnin exams, don't you know?"

"Haruka be nice. We aren't here to provoke them."

A boy said and stopped the raging blonde, his hair was black with a single strand of yellow on his bangs.

"Whatever you say Shun~!"

The bi*ch said and latched onto the boy as if she was a leech. Pressing her nonexistent boobs to his arm.

Akali's heart clenched for no reason.

"Ah. Damn, I really need to remember to drink water. I'm having these crazy heartburns lately."

The system and the shark god sighed. She's emotionally stupid alright.

Due to curiosity and reflex, the white haired girl raised her blindfold slightly and analyzed the three Suna genin.

Akali thought as the song was still blaring loudly at the back of her head, staring at the boy named Shun who stared back.

"That's strange.......I never heard a song when I met Junko for the first time. What's so special about him?"

"You hear it too right? The song?"

He said, looking directly at Akali who nodded in response.

"You hear it too? How?"

"Maybe because of the system. Though I only hear this when I dream about my past memories......."

"Strange. It's the same about me."

"Shun-chan, you know her?"

The girl who Akali guessed is Suika asked.

"You can say....."

"So you're a player too huh? Miss Detective?"

The black haired boy smirked and bowed, making Akali roll her eyes.

"You guys go on ahead. I have a little catching up to do with this.......friend."

"You guys too—"

"Hey hey! Just what do you think you're doing! Stealing my Shun like that."

The bimbo said marching up to Akali and aiming to slap her on the cheek when Akali took a hold of her wrist before her hand even got near, fueled her left hand with chakra and slapped her in the face so strong that it actually broke some of her fingers.

"Oh wow. Look how thick your face is. It broke my fingers."

The satisfying sound of her hand slapping her face made the twins sigh. Oh how well their teamwork is.

"Jhin, Juichiro, ask sensei if we can join the chunnin exams. Threaten him if he says no."

"Permission to send his wall full of Miria-san's pictures to Miria-san in order to humiliate him if he says no?"

"Permission granted. Good luck."

"Aye aye boss!"

The two said giggling before walking towards the path that the three took earlier.

"Hey sun boy, come with me."

She said and ran towards a certain takoyaki shop.

~Time skip to TakoYuzuri cuz I'm lazy~

"Hey Kali! Usual? Oh you brought a friend!"

"Hi"

The black haired boy greeted and sat on the far corner nearing a window, making sure that no one will catch on on what they are about to talk about.

"What can I get for you two?"

Yuzuri asked with her usual kind smile. Shun was looking at the menu, whilst Akali just wanted the anything they had in store.

"I'll have a ham and cheese takoyaki thank you."

"I'll have anything you give me."

"Aww. Is that your way of saying I love you?"

"Yeah. You make really good takoyaki."

"Why thank you. I'll go cook up your orders!"

She said and left the two alone, the black haired boy looking straightforward at Akali like he doesn't have shame.

"Makes me think that he doesn't have a single sin or humiliation."

Akali look uninterested as hell, so like any other living being that talks to her, they think that weren't worthy of her time. This one however, took the initiative.

"You analyzed me earlier so I know you already know my name, I'm Shun Ayakashi."

He said with a smile and offered his hand, one which Akali ignored on purpose.

[That's right. Never make contact with a playboy. Who knows how many thots he touched with his hands.]

he white haired girl rolled her eyes at the system's comment, but nonetheless introduced herself for formality.

"Akali. I'm not going to sugarcoat my words here, I want you to form an alliance with me."

She said sternly, making Shun sweatdrop and lower his hand awkwardly.

"You're really straightforward aren't you?"

He asked playfully, thanking Yuzuri as she brought their still smoking orders.

"I'm not a fan of small chit chat."

She said and quietly ate her takoyaki, each ball differs in flavor so it was really a treat.

"Yuzuri gave me an assorted today.......I should invest here more."

She said and munched on another, the black haired male thinking that it was cute how she ate.

A sudden ring cut the two from their conversation, Akali answering it knowing all to well who it was.

[AKALIIIIIIIII!!! Ohayo!~]

The white haired girl winced.

"Hi Junko. Are you still in Kumo?"

[Hmmm......it's a secret! Wait wait, who is he? And he's looking at me! He can also see the screen?]

"That was what I was about to tell you. Shun, meet Junko Masayuki. Junko, Shun Ayakashi. All three of us, were players."

There was an unreadable silence between the three as they looked at each other, thinking of random thoughts, mainly why were they chosen to be reincarnated.

[I see. Hi Shun. It's so nice to meet another player.]

She said with a surprisingly elegant tone. She was also like this before she actually got to meet Akali so it wasn't as new to Shun how her mood changed from energetic to classy.

[So to start, do you remember what your names are in your past world? Think of it as our personal identification of each other.]

Junko said that made Akali think. Is it wise? What if there was an enemy who got reincarnated and wanted revenge? But still, the chances were low, and even if there's actually someone like that, then she'll just defend herself.

"What's with the last name?"

Shun asked curiously that made the red head smile sadly.

[My parents died in a car accident when I was still a baby so I didn't really knew who they were.]

"Oh. I'm sorry."

[I understand. How about you Akali? I never really got to know the past you.]

She said with full honesty. All she know about the white haired girl was that she was a detective and that was it. No more, no less.

"Well that's hard. I don't even know what my last name is."

You know what's weird? The name Aila Ivanov means the bringer of God's light yet she brought nothing but despair to those people in her past."

The red head asked which was replied with nothing but silence. Shun was looking straight at Akali with wide onyx eyes, as if he was seeing a ghost.
