Acceptance

It had been almost a month since christmas. Yuma hadn't brought up what happened and neither did she, There was always an awkward tension between them.But she avoided it as did he. During the time she was working at the mansion she kept up with her studying as she took the job to save money for university in the fall.

Today was the day she was going to hear from her dream school. "Harvard University".She woke up in an excited manor and got ready as fast as possible. Although no matter what she did she always thouht about Yuma. But was in complete denile.

She ran outside to the mailbox and looked inside to see it was empty.

"Damn." She said annoyed before walking inside..

It was quite early and work hadn't started yet. She went back into her room and sat on the edge of her bed. A million things running through her head," What if i didn't get in?...Does he hate me?"..

When she heard an abrupt knock at the door causing her to jump..

"H-hello?" She asked.

"It's me." Yuma's voice called beyond the door.

"Come in." she said.

She watched the door-knob turn until he came from the other side with a large grin.

"Is something wrong ,Master?" She asked.

"Here." He said handing her a letter.

"You got the mail?"

"Yeah."

She opened the letter as her heart was going to burst out her chest..

"We would like to congradulate yo-" Her eye's widened as she read.

"You got in?" He asked with a small grin.

"I got in!!!" She jumped up into Yuma's embrace..

"good for you..." He said hugging her tightly.

She then pulled away feeling awkward.

"I can't believe i got in."

"Where is Harvard anyway?" He asked.

"Boston."

"Like in the states?" He asked.

"Yes."

"That's really far." He said as he placed his hand on the back of his head.

"Well, i'm just honestly shocked i was accepted."

He then sat on the bed beside her.

"How long will you be gone?" He asked.

"Four years or longer depending on if i still continue with law."

"that's a long time." He said

"I'm very excited..."

He then stood up and walked out.

"What's with him?...Did i do something?" She thought.

It was later that day as she was setting the table for dinner.

"I heard you got accepted into Harvard." Said Ruki

"Yes...i did."

"Congrats...I heard it's hard to get in there, 4% right?"

"Yes i believe so." She said with a smile.

As dinner went on everyone began talking about Harvard.

"Do you think they accept idol's?" Asked Kou

"I'm sure they do." She said

"Kou you are not going to Harvard." Said Ruki

"i could." He said with a pouty face.

"Could you all just shut the fuck up?" Asked Yuma.

Then slamming his fists onto the table, Then standing up and walking off furiously.

"Should i see if he's ok?" Asked Malia.

"He needs to cool down." Said Ruki.

Malia had showered and changed. She was lying in her bed staring at the ceiling thinking about Yuma's random outburst.Then steadily standing up and walking down the hall until she approached Yuma's door. Then knocking three times.

As usual there was no answer. She knocked three more times .

"come in." His voice called.

She walked in to see him sitting at the edge of the bed with his elbows on his knees.He was as usual shirtless.

"You know, you own alot of clothes for somone who rarely wears any." She said standing infront of him.

He looked up meeting his light-brown eyes with her green ones.

"So uh...are you ok?" She asked

"What does it matter to you, sow?" He asked

"It's just you seemed upset."

"Well it doesn't matter, your just going to leave."

"'Did you think i was going to stay here forever?" She asked annoyed.

"So you want to leave me?" He asked standing up.

"You aren't my boyfriend Yuma...Know your place." She said attempting to walk away.

When he grabbed her waist pinning her against the wall with a hand over her head.

"How many times am i going to have to make my feelings clear." He said keeping eye-contact.

She didn't answer. She didn't know what to say, Either way she probably would have hurt his feelings and she didn't want that.Then moving his hands off of her and opening the door and running to her room.

It was the next morning, She was in utter disbelief of what he had said the night before. That she could hardly sleep.She changed into her uniform and made her way to the dining room to set the table as usual.

With a large pit in her stomach. She felt awful, She hurt him and she never wanted too.She was in a moral quandry, She felt bad for saying what she had but on the other hand he was out of line.

"I'm not going to stay like a hostage." She thought as she set the table

"Good morning, Malia." Called Ruki

"Morning, Sir."

"Did you sleep well?" He asked

"Kind of." She said with an odd smile.

Once she was finished she made her way to the kitchen. Her plan was to avoid him at all costs.As she wasn't sure what she would say.

Later in the day she had recieved an order from Ruki to get vegtables from the garden for dinner.Knowing if she did so without asking Yuma he would be infuriated.

She walked to his room knocking twice onto the door.

"come in." His voice softly called.

She slowly opened the door to see him lying on the bed staring at the ceiling.He looked over making eye-contact with her then sitting up.

"Ruki wanted some vegtables from the garden, for dinner." She said.

"ok." He said lying down.

"right now."

"fine." He said standing up.

Walking to the garden as she followed.They picked serveral vegtables and put them in a large basket.

"I'll take them inside." She said picking up the basket.

She began to walk away.

"Malia?"

She turned around to see him face to face and making eye-contact.

"Yes?" She replied.

"I am sorry, for you know being a dick." He said with an odd expression.

"it's fine." She said walking back inside.

"It's odd how this has been going on and no one has noticed." She thought as she brushed her hair.

She had been thinking of their 'relationship'...They had kissed on several occasions, They were in odd circumstances more than once.He had always left when she said no. He had respect for her. He told her to lock the door out of safety. He cared for her.

She was lying on her bed in a white t-shirt thinking of all these things when she heard odd sounds behind the door.She steadily got up and reluctantly answered the door. Yuma was pacing back and fourth in front of it. When he stopped looking at her face to face.

"Hi?" She asked confused.

"hi"

"Any reason your lurking around my door?" She asked.

"I was thinking about talking to you." He said stopping in front of her.

"Ok, come in." She said gesturing inside.

They went inside and sat on the side of the bed. There was about a minute of silence.

"i-" They both spoke at the same time.

"You go first." He said

"I'm sorry ,I raised my voice, like a mother scolding a child." She said

"me too."

"Can we go back to how everything was before?" She asked.

"When?"

"Like when i first got here."

"You mean ignore you.?" He asked

"Well not ignore but-"

"Yeah, sure." He said standing up with a dissapointed expression.

"Thank you."

"Well, you should get to bed" He said.

Then opening the door and walking into his room again.She felt relieved. Relieved he had agreed to be nothing more than a Master and a maid.
