Chapter 20

15:02, 9 May 2015

"It...was Ashley. In me dream." I mumbled, embarrassed."You know I won't be mad at you right?" JB reassured me.

I took a deep breath as I started the tale of my nightmare.

"We were at the cinema and he just grabbed hold of us. Kimba was running away. He kept begging for me to go back together with him but I honestly said no. I told him I was married to you. But he was crying and me sides were hurtin so much. I was crying for someone to save us. I wanted Kimba to come back." I told him.

JB wrapped his arms around my waist as gently as possible. I snuggled into him. We shared pecks on the cheeks. And then, the lips. I never wanted to let go.

But my schedule means I'm too busy for everything. Which is annoying sometimes.

My instincts kicked in. The kiss lasted longer than ever. I knew I was craving for more. He made me feel safe. I curled up in his arms as he kept kissing down my neck. I was tingling inside. I felt free, relaxed, loved. And blessed to have as an amazing husband as Jean Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

My petite body was protected from nightmares in JB's muscular arms. Away from all the horrible things that somehow happened recently. I got locked into a peaceful romance.

He caressed my cheek, feeling a sensation. I smiled in his hold, making him smile and locking his lips onto mine. I closed my eyes in content. I sighed and rested in his arms.

The last thing I remembered from that night was one last passionate kiss and him whispering into my ear,

"I will keep you safe and happy. I love you, my wife, Cheryl Ann Fernandez-Versini."

.....

I opened my eyes and saw a whole new day in front of me. There was still no sunlight though. Just a cold, bleak sky to match my normal morning mood. But now, I felt refreshed, warm and fuzzy inside.

I then remembered what happened last night. It felt as if my husband's fingers were gently crawling up and down my spine. I hadn't had a night like that in bed in ages.

There were no hummingbirds chirping but still. Or if there were, I wasn't paying attention to the outside world for that moment in time.

The clock read nine forty four am. I jump out of bed, rubbing my eyes as I walked wrapped my dressing gown around my bare body.

I debate with myself whether I should wake up JB but I decide not to as I made my way downstairs on my tiptoes. I wasn't in the mood for breakfast as I would burn the house down even by making a slice of toast. I was greeted by Buster and Coco, who yapped and kissed my cheeks. I took them on a short walk across our garden. Acres of land to just relax and walk the dogs on.

"Good doggies! Buster, Coco! Fetch!" I commanded.

I tossed the ball into the distance and the little chihuahuas were racing to get it. I laughed. They were always so competitive. I inhaled the fresh air, patting my thighs as Coco managed to get the ball.

"Good girl, Coco, bring it back to mammy!" I called out to her.

"Cheryl!" A voice shouted from inside. "Are you out there?" "Yeah, JB, I'm out here with the dogs babe!" I answered.
