Chapter 19

I heard the car stop and I get out and run into the building in front of me. I was met by Lily and Seth, my publicity manager. I get a cup of coffee and go to the meeting room. Two hours bored out of my mind. But it had to be done.

As I was walking down the streets, two teenage girls jump up and down, pointing at me. They squeeze me into a hug when I approach them and give them a smile."Oh my god, hi Cheryl!" One squealed."Hi Cheryl!" The other gasped."Hi girls. Are you soldiers?" I asked, doing my signature salute."Yes! We love you so much! I'm Kirstin. And this is Tia." Kirstin nodded along with Tia. "Nice to meet youse. Wanna picture?" I asked."Yes please!" Tia replied, both of them getting their phones out.

I pull a few funny faces with Tia and Kirstin. It's so much fun meeting soldiers!"Thank you so much Cheryl! Can you follow us on Twitter?" Kirstin asked."Of course, babe." I nod. They tell me their Twitter names and I give them both another warm hug.

"I think we should let you do what you need to do now. Thank you Cheryl." Tia suggested. "Yeah, good idea Tia. Thanks Cheryl so much we should go." Kirstin agreed. Both waving."Bye Girls!" I called after them, waving, as they crossed a road.

I went to my favourite cafe, ordering a blueberry muffin and a weak cup of coffee. I look out the window and see the streets quieter than usual. I take a deep breath. At that moment, my phone vibrated like crazy, disturbing my silence. A text. A text from JB.

"Hi Babe have u finished ur meeting?" It read. "Hi Babes yh it finished a little while ago" I sent to him."Where r u now?" Another text popped up in an instant."At a cafe & I met 2 soldiers earlier" "Ok plz come home soon""Will do Jean baby x Cheryl""Bye princess x JB"

I put my phone back in my handbag and take another sip of coffee.

Bloody hell it's peaceful today!

There was only a few people in the cafe and not many cars driving down the roads outside. And that's just the way I like it. No paps. No bizzies. And no one who I find annoying. I won't say who.

I make my way back home to my big, luxurious house. I was surprised to see JB already at the door. Butterflies fluttered in my stomach. Oh my god. Man, this guy's so charming.

My husband takes my hand and whisks me to the sofa. I sit myself down and Coco and Buster join me, yapping in excitement. I giggled as they lovingly licked my cheeks. JB comes back with two cups of hot chocolate turns the TV on as it reveals a new story.

"The nation's sweetheart, Cheryl Fernandez Versini, has recently made headlines with her upcoming fourth studio album. Aside from that, we heard people say Cheryl has been acting weird lately. She seemed to be more anxious and irritable when she was at her 'Crazy Stupid Love' video shoot." The news reporter announced.

S***! Why does it always have to be like this?

"Paparazzi invaded Central London Shopping Centre as she and the girls (from Girls Aloud) were exiting the centre. Cheryl was caught running away from the paps and was later found unconscious on the streets by a nurse who wants to remain anonymous. That's all for now as we wait for the release of Cheryl's single 'Crazy Stupid Love'. This is Ross Hyde, ITV news at six." The news reporter continued as nerves came over again.

JB looks at me in concern. He's not usually this worried about me."Babe? Are you ok?" He asks."Y-yeah. I'm fine babes." I nodded, wiping tears from my eyes."Are you sure, Cheryl?" He wasn't very convinced."Yeah. It's fine, really." I nod again. "I don't think you are." JB whispers in my ear.

He locks my lips onto his, releasing my anxiety and insecurity for at least a while. Our tongues meet and I felt the feeling of wanting to never let go. No matter what. We pulled away and each drawn a breath. JB wraps his arms around me and I lean closer to him, resting my little head on his chest. He gave me a peck on the forehead and we continued to watch Coronation Street.

For dinner, we ordered a big pizza from Domino's. I was pretty hungry so yeah. I followed Tia and Kirstin on Twitter as I promised and DMed them both for a little while. I looked through soliders' feeds; simply because I was bored. The pizza took twenty minutes to arrive and when it did, I literally leapt into the air, punching my fist like a mad woman.

JB laughed and picked me up, spinning me around like a toddler. He ruffled my hair and we sit on the sofa with our pizzas. We watched anything that came on TV really because there was nothing exciting on. We shared one or two of each other's pizzas and just chilled under a blanket with the dogs begging for a bite.

Relaxing...

As I turned off the light and tried to sleep...

*Flashback*

"Cheryl please take me back, I'm begging you!" Ashley pleaded as he kept his grip on me."No Ashley! I'm married to JB and there's nothing you can do about it." I gasped, he clenched my sides tighter."You have to Cheryl! It's not the same without you!"

"Then maybe you should've thought about that before you f***** other women behind me back!" I yelled."I told you years ago, the paps were making stories, lies, tell-tales!" He said the same old lie to me. Four years and he still can't admit what he's done.

"You're so full of bulls*** aren't you? Just get over it Ashley, I divorced you four f****** years ago! Get over yourself!" "But I can't. I love you." He tried to kiss me but I slapped his face away from me.

The hold on me was unbelievable. I was in excruciating pain and I knew this was gonna last for days afterwards.

I'm gonna pass out!

I'm gonna die!

I'm gonna bleed to death!

Help me please someone!

*End of Flashback*

I screamed at the top of my lungs, clutching my chest. I'd woken JB who was stirring in confusion. I felt tears roll down my cheeks and tried to breathe deeply. No difference.

"Ch-cheryl, what's wrong?" JB asked, sitting back up in the bed."I had a nightmare that's all babe." I tried to reassure him.

He held me gently as he kissed me soft on the lips. "What happened?" He now wondered.
