Chapter 14

I wake up in the front room of Max's house."My wrist hurts!" I moan.My head is placed on Max's lap. He has a huge scratch on his face. Harvey has a black eye."Honestly boys, I am so ashamed of you!" Sara says. She's not really shouting but she's still kind of scary."It'll be ok." Max whispers in my ear.Sara takes us into the car, me siting next to max, Harvey sat at the front with Sara. "As for you young man, I don't know what's up with you but..."Harvey suddenly breaks down, crying. We all stare at him."Is there something you want to say?" I ask."I'll say later, right now we need to see if your wrist is ok!" Harvey says.When we arrive at the hospital, we go into the A&E entrance. We are then directed to the waiting room. My wrist is hurting so much!After about an hours wait, we finally get to see a doctor. She takes one look at us all and laughs."Two lads had a fight did they? You tried to stop it and hurt your wrist?" Let's have a look at it then!"I had to have an X-ray of my wrist and sit in the waiting room again. Then she called me into her office."You've badly fractured your wrist, you'll have a cast on for quite  a long time."I knew it!At least it's not my hand that I write with.I then go into another room to put on a cast. They ask me to pick a colour and I pick purple.When we get back to Max and Harvey's house, they are both sent to their rooms and I go to sit in the living room to play snap with Tilly and Leo. I soon get really bored and sneak upstairs into their rooms.Harvey is sat on his bed crying."Harvey?"He looks up and quickly tries to wipe away his tears though we both know that he has been crying."Hey!" He says a huge fake smile on his face.I smile because he's trying so hard. "You ok?""I....." Harvey sighs. "No!""Tell me." I whisper."Jess, I..... no I can't say!""You can! You have to! There's no possible way to explain why you were acting like you were! I want to hear what you have to say for yourself. I want to understand! I want there to be a reasonable explanation! I don't want to hate y...""I love you!" He whispers.I sit on his bed in shock, not knowing what to say."I love you Jess, always have since the day we met!""But.. but you were the one who told me that Max likes me. If it weren't for you, we might not have been together in the first place!""I didn't think I liked you as much as I do. And I wanted Max to be happy, I didn't really think it would be anything serious!""I...." Before I can say anything else, Harvey leans in and kisses me. And just my luck, it's the exact moment Max walks in."Hey Harv can we just forget this please, I want us to go back the way we.... what?!" Tears fill his eyes and he runs right back into his room slamming the door."Oh no! What have we done?" I say and look at Harvey.Just at that moment, I hear a car horn outside.Well at least I can escape for the night. But what am I supposed to do tomorrow? Oooh there's drama! So I may not be able to write much these next couple weeks. I've got so many exams going on!! End of year exams are not good 😪😴 and next weekend I'm camping so I won't have a charger or anything to charge my phone. And then it's my birthday the week after. So yeah I'm really busy.
