Blood Boils

"Ugh, I'm exhausted." Melody says to herself and sits on a bed, she kicks off her high heels and brings her feet up to her chest, hugging it as her eyes travels around the hotel room. It got pretty late and Charlie insisted that she stays in the hotel instead. The girl sighs as she closes her eyes, resting her head on her knees as she hugs her legs close to herself.

'Everything been chaos ever since he showed up.' She thought, referring to Alastor. 'And honestly I don't whether to hate it or thank him. My life been a jar bottle of emptiness for the past years anyways.'

thud, thud. A noise comes from the door, it sounds like something kept hitting the door but it sounds like it's something small. The girl opens her eyes and gets off her bed, walking towards the door and opens it to see no one. She was about to close the door when she feels something touch her barefooted legs, Melody looks down to see a small pig. The patterns of spots of pink on it looks like Angel's.

She gets on both of her knees and picks up the small animal, it snorts at her in response. There's a collar around its neck,  the girl holds the piggy like a baby as she checks the collar.

'Fat Nuggets.' It reads, Melody holds in a laugh as she stands back up and closes the door with her heel. She walks over to her bed and sets it carefully down on the soft mattress as it lies down and rolls over, asking for belly rubs.

Melody holds the urge to squeal at how cute it is as she reaches and rubs its belly. She's actually a big softie for animals, her favourite are small animals and soft animals like cats, ferrets and even owls. The girl stops petting the pig as she walks towards the bathroom to take a shower. A few minutes later, she gets out to find Fat Nuggets on the floor and it holds up a photograph using its mouth.

"Whoa, how did you find this?" Melody asks as she kneels in front of it and takes the photograph, looking at the picture. It's a picture of her holding Charlie when she was a toddler, the big bright smile on Charlie's face did not match Melody's dull and empty face. She sits down beside the small pink animal as it crawls up to her lap which she didn't mind.

Melody remembers this photograph, Lilith took it when Charlie refused to let go off her. She would kept crying so Melody decided to carry her up instead, it sure did make the girl stop crying. Lucifer was kind of jealous that his own daughter didn't even want her own daddy to carry her.

She sighs as she puts the photograph away on the bedside table, stands up with the piggy in her arms as she sits down on the bed and lies down. Fat Nuggets lies down right beside Melody's head as it closes its eyes, she does the same as the night passes on to the next morning.

  The sounds of feet tapping loudly outside wakes Melody up as she sits up, rubbing her eyes. She actually slept well and there wasn't a nightmare, that made her a bit relieved. She remembers about last night as she turns to her side to still see Fat Nuggets snuggled up in the covers, what a cutie.

She gets off the bed slowly and tries not to wake the animal up as she walks to the mirror, fixing her hair a bit and tie it into her usual ponytail.

Another loud noise of someone running around and muffled panicked voice could be heard, waking up the poor pig that was sleeping. Melody walks up to the Fat Nuggets as she picks it up and hugs it to her chest.

She walks up to the door and opens it to see Angel running down the hallway in panic and down the stairs, what the hell is wrong with him?

The hotel door beside hers opens up to reveal the demon himself exiting the room. He turns to her and smiles at her,

"Good morning, dear- what are you doing with that bacon?" Alastor greets but stops when he sees the pink animal in her arms. Melody quietly gasps as she turns the other way, defending Fat Nuggets from Alastor.

"Good morning. This is not a bacon, leave it alone." Melody says as she walks past the demon, not caring that she's still wearing her night gown. It's around 5 and it's too early to care for anything.

Alastor watch the girl walk away as he crosses his arms, a bit annoyed of the animal she's hugging.

When Melody reached down the stairs, she could hear Angel panicking.

"Have any of you seen my baby?! I can't find him!" He cries as Sin is starting to panic too.

"Isn't he supposed to be in your room?" She says and Angel nods repeatedly.

"I think I accidentally left the door open, oh what the hell am I gon' do.." He replies as he pushes his slick hair back in frustration.

"Stop being so loud in the morning, you're ruining my morning." Melody voices out as Angel and Sin turns to her. Angel immediately sees his precious baby in Melody's arms as he smiles,

"Oh thank Lucifer, my baby!" He tries reaching out for Fat Nuggets but Melody turns away, not letting him take the pig. Angel turns dumbfounded as Melody glares at him.

"No." She says as she turns around and speeds off, Angel turns speechless.

"W-What-? Wait, Mel that's my baby!" Angel calls after her as he tries catching up. Sin only watch the scene unfold as she drinks her tea and eats her cookie.

It's been 5 minutes ever since the chase starts and right now Melody is chilling beside Sin and eating cookies with her as Angel comes around the corner and panting for air, clearly exhausted unlike Melody who didn't even sweat.

For some reason, running around made Fat Nuggets happy as he makes happy noises and Melody could help but smile.

"Princess help me get Fat Nuggets back! Maybe she'll listen to you!" Angel begs but Sin shrugs,

"You're not getting Fat Nuggets back for a while, might as well just find another pet." She replies and Angel drops down on the floor in defeat. Alastor who been watching the whole thing, laughs. Finding it entertaining how Angel who's taller than Melody, who's literally been running around in a silk night gown; can't even catch up to her.

Melody finishes up a cookie in her mouth as she dusts her hands. She gets up from the couch from beside Sin as she walks up to Angel who looks up at her.

The black haired girl crouches down in front of Angel with Fat Nuggets in her arms.

"I want to play with him later on." She says as she hands the small animal to him, Angel smiles with an anime tear in his eye.

"Thank you, Kitty!" He says as he stands up and takes Fat Nuggets. Melody stands up also as she stretches her arms forward but stops when Angel pets her head with his lower arms, earning a glare from the shorter girl. "Didn't know you had a soft spot for animals."

"If you touch me again, I'm taking Fat Nuggets away from you." She says and Angel holds his hands up in defense. The girl fixes her hair and walks off back to her hotel room to get ready for the day.

"Did you know she had a soft spot for animals, princess?" Angel asks Sin who looks up at him from her phone and nods.

"She's a cat lover. Will drop everything if she sees a cat, deadass." Sin says and everyone turns to Husk who's behind the bar. The grumpy cat who doesn't know anything raise his eyebrows up in confusion.

"The fuck you want?" His gruff voice calls out, making Alastor, Sin and Angel turns back to each other.

"Well, she been talking with dear Husker these past few months!" Alastor says, as if he been watching her.

"Well we wouldn't know because Husk isn't exactly a cat." Sin laughs and so did Angel. Alastor looks at the clock as he fixes his suit,

"Well it was wonderful to see everyone fully energetic this morning! I'm off to somewhere." He says as he summons his microphone and walks towards the door. Sin and Angel watch as he leaves, where is he going?

"Should we tell Charlie?" Angel asks as he looks down at his pet pig. Sin watch as the door closes behind the deer demon and turns back to her best friend.

"I think it's better we tell Mel first." She suggests and Angel only shrugged.

"Why would she care, though?" Angel asks, Sin hums.

"Oh you there's a lot of reasons why." Sin says as she stands up from the couch, seeing Melody walking down the stairs and into the kitchen.

She walks up to the kitchen doors but hears someone whine, it sounded like Melody but why would she do such a noise-? (Not like that you damn pervert.)

Sin looks at Angel as he looks back at her, she pushes the door open to see Slyvan pinching Melody's cheeks as he chuckles.

"Fwucking dwamnit!" She cusses but it's muffled, without warning; Melody raises her knee and shoves it up to Slither's stomach, making the male stumble back. Melody rubs her aching cheeks in frustration as it had turned a bit red, "What the nine circles od bloody pentagram do you think you're doing?!" She whines again as she rubs her cheeks even more.

"Not my fault you have soft cheeks." He laughs, Melody glares at him as she walks away towards the counter to make tea. Sin and Angel blinks in confusion, since when were they this close? Slither notices the two staring as he looks at them, his face turning into a scowl.

"What?" His tune turns rough which made the two demons shake their heads and quickly get out of there.

"You're more annoying than Lucifer's clown face." Melody says as she pours the tea into a glass teacup. That made Slither burst into a laugh,

"Lucifer's clown face? I thought I was the only one!" He laughs even more, Melody turns around and sips her tea. "The fact you have the guts to call him that too."

"I been calling his a clown behind his back, even Charlie knows I do it." She shrugs like it's the most accomplished thing she've done in her life so far. The girl walks towards the door and leaves the kitchen with Slither following behind.

"Oh good morning, Mel!" Charlie greets, Melody nods at her.

"Good morning, red-cheeks." She replies as she sips her tea.

"Say, have you seen Al?" She asks, Melody raise her right eyebrow in question. "I haven't seen him this morning!" She adds in.

"He was here in the lobby a few minutes ago. Maybe Sin and Angel knows where he is?" Melody says as she sets her cup down on the lobby table.

"Oh, strawberry pimp went out." Angel says as he looks up from playing with his pet. Charlie tilts her head,

"To where?" She questions, Angel shrugs his shoulders.

"He didn't say, he just said he's going out." Sin replies, Charlie bites down on her lips. Vaggie who just walks in, notices the gloomy look on the blonde's face.

"Hey Charlie, what's wrong?" She asks as she holds her shoulder in comfort.

"I think it's just me. He seemed so distant lately, I don't know what to do." She rubs her own arms. Melody flatten her black painted lips,

"Do you want me to go look for him?" She asks, trying to reassure the princess. Charlie smiles at her,

"Can you?" She asks for confirmation, Melody shrugs.

"Well I don't have anything better to do than having to pay attention to these two idiots." Melody says as she gestures to Sin and Angel who both shout 'Hey!' in defense. Charlie giggles,

"Then please do." She smiles and Melody nods, petting Charlie's soft blonde hair.

"I'll be right back." She says as she walks over to the back room to take her umbrella and out the door she goes.

"I feel like something bad is bound to happen." Slither who been quiet says as he crosses his arms, Charlie looks at him with a sad smile.

"Mel can handle things herself, she literally can still laugh with her limbs detached from her body." Sin reminds everyone which Charlie chuckles, trying to reassure herself and Vaggie tries to comfort her.

   "Just a few more hours.." Marcy says to herself as she holds the case of her violin tightly and looks away from the grandfather clock. She turns to the mirror as she looks at herself,

Her blue-purple-ish ombre hair is half tied up in a bun with flowers decorating it. She looks at her golden shining eyes and the golden heart mark on her face, reminding herself that she is powerful. She is God's Golden Angel, she can do anything she desire.

She nods to herself as she walks away from the mirror and towards the door, walking out of her bedroom and down the big hallway; searching for Jay and Rosie.

"Mars, here!" Jay calls out from around the corner, she turns and sees him and Rosie holding his hand.

"Oh there you are, I was about to get lost in the hallways again." She chuckles, Jay laughs. "Anyways, are the other angels ready?" She asks, Jay slowly nods.

"Mars, are you sure about this?" Jay asks, worried as he holds Marcy's shoulder with his free hand. She nods seriously, with determination laced in her golden shining eyes.

"I am 101% sure about this, I want to see her and I'm not letting other angels exterminate her no matter what." Marcy makes sure as she grips her violin case closer. "Even if it means I'll be thrown out of heaven and lose my place of one of  twelve God's Golden Angels." She says. Jay let's go as he sighs,

"You're stubborn, there's no way of telling you to go back anyways." Marcy smiles, knowing damn well nobody can control her. "Just, please. Be careful down there, I don't want to lose you and neither does Rosie." He says as he looks down at the little girl.

"I will and if I meet Ava, I'll tell her a hi for you." She smiles which Jay smile back in return. She crouches down towards Rosie as Jay let's go of her small hand to let Marcy hold it.

"I'll be back soon, okay Rosie? I'm gonna go meet Ava." Marcy smiles, Rosie's eyes glimmers upon the name.

"A-Ava.." She stutters and Marcy nods as she hugs the little girl.

"Wait for me okay, Rosie dear?" She says as Rosie nods like a determined little toddler. Marcy smiles as she stands back up, nodding to Jay as he nods back at her.

With that, Marcy walks off the hallway but stops and turns back around.

"Where is the exit again..?" She asks as she scratches the back of her head. Jay facepalms as he points to her left,

"It's right there you idiot." Jay says as Rosie chuckles, Marcy nods repeatedly.

"Oh, right." She says, but Jay thought of a joke.

"No, left!" Marcy looks at him with a deadpanned face which he only laughs. She rolls her golden eyes and leaves the hallway and meet up with all the other angels.

When she arrives, all the other angels bow down to her but truth to be told, she doesn't like being treated like she's above everyone. Marcy only slightly bow back and smile at them, she walks over to the edge where all of them will jump down.

"Marcy, dear. Please be careful." Virgin Mary walks up behind her, Marcy smiles at the tall woman and nods.

"I will. Please don't worry about me." She reassures and Mary can't do anything other than smile sadly.

    Melody stops walking as she stands by a cafe, sighing. She been walking for half an hour now and she just can't find where that demon is.

She's so glad that she isn't wearing that high heels from last night, even dancing with that made her feel like the real story of Ariel, the little mermaid where she is forced to dance with the princes even though every step she took were like needles piercing into her skin.

The girl leans her umbrella on her shoulder as she turns to the right, ready to walk away when she noticed the familiar red and black hair. He is sitting outside the cafe on a table with someone else, Melody tries to cover herself with her umbrella as she moves closer to see who he is with and what they're talking about.

Her rich red eyes widens to see that its his associate, Rosie. Her signature vintage hat shows it all, what is she doing with Alastor at a time like this?

"So I heard your plan worked?" Rosie asks, her broad smile widening on her face. Alastor hushes his friend, telling her to be a bit quiet.

"Well, yes. It is an easy task, but however;" He stops, Rosie raises her eyebrows. "Do you remember that gal who served under Lucifer in exchange for trying to assassinate his wife?" Alastor recalls, Melody knows he's talking about her.

"Uhuh, that gal is a tough one." Rosie nods her head, "What's wrong with her?" She asks,

"She been making it so hard for me, but Lucifer's foolish act had just made it easier for me." Alastor chuckles, his radio static going off.

"So what now, Al? That royal bigshot is the heir to the throne, you're going to the king of hell just like you planned." Rosie says, smiling even more. Alastor nods,

"Everything is so entertaining! Hell will be under my control and nobody can disobey me." He laughs, Rosie following. "And all I have to do next is; destroy that girl so she wouldn't get in my way."

Melody's blood boils in anger, wow! Did he really just did that? He is fucking serious? After thinking that MAYBE Melody could really trust him, this is what she gets.

She was right, she should just cage her heart. She won't trust anyone anymore.

Melody's grip on her umbrella tightens as her umbrella shook a little. She turns on her heels and start to run off, about to tell Charlie and keep her and everyone else save.

Alastor chuckles and Rosie smiled;

"The cat is out the bag." Alastor says as he turns and watch Melody who is running back to the hotel. Rosie laughs,

"Cat and mouse, a lovely circle." She giggles.
