C H A P T E R 6

The training wasn't that intense for Tenten, but it was for Kaiya. "Can we take a break please?" Kaiya said laying down on the grass while Tenten was still practicing. She whined how hot the weather was, and other things. "Come on Kaiya, we just had a break. Get up." Kaiya groaned, "No, the weather is too hot." When she noticed Neji was staring her way, and then started twirling her and smiling. Tenten noticed that Kaiya was always flirting with Neji which kinda annoyed her a little. Neji walked over to them and Kaiya stood up. "Neji Kun!" Neji just ignored her and went to Tenten. "Want to train?" Tenten smiled, "Sure, but what about Lee?" Lee went over to them, "It's fine, I can train with Kaiya!" Lee wiggled his brow to Neji. Then Lee whispered something to Neji's ear. Neji just ignored him hoping Tenten didn't hear it.

Neji doesn't know what's happening to him. 'What type of feeling is this? Why does it always occur when I'm near Tenten. It never happened before.' But Lee, being friends with Neji since childhood could read him like an open book. "Do you like Tenten?" Lee's question surprised Neji. "Why are you asking me this question." Lee looked at Neji seriously. "Just answer my question." Neji rarely saw Lee with a serious look, which kinda weirded him out. "...Yes, I do like her very much". Lee smiled, and slapped Neji's back. "Good then treat her well." Lee wished Neji had said no. He also had fallen in love with Tenten, but he couldn't since Neji also likes her. Lee noticed that Tenten always looks at Neji without realizing it.

"But I want to train with Neji Kun!" Kaiya whined. Tenten couldn't help but roll her eyes. Neji replied, "I only want to train with Tenten." Which shook her, Tenten could feel her cheek burning up, but doesn't know if it was Neji's reply or the hot weather. Kaiya then looked to the ground with her head down, and tried to make Neji feel bad. Neji just ignored her like he always does, "Let's get started shall we?" Tenten smiled and nodded. 'She looks so cute whenever she smiles.' Neji mindlessly thought. Neji enjoyed the training, while watching how Tenten focusly trained.After training, Temari came to them. "Hey Tenten!" Tenten looked back from talking to Lee, "Hi Temari, how have you been?" They chatted happily, "Oh, I almost forgot what I came here for, haha. We're going to the club tomorrow, everyone in the group. Wanna come?" Tenten nodded "Heck yea, it has been a long time since we went to the club. I'll tell the other two." Temari made an okay sign and left. But while they were talking Kaiya also heard it, and left. While Neji and Lee were packing up, Tenten went up to them and asked them if they wanted to go to the club tomorrow with the group which they said yes, and that if they wanna hang out today. Neji nodded, "Sure.", And Lee happily said yes. Then shook his head. "Wait I forgot, I have to train more today. Sorry Tenten." Lee didn't have to train today, he just made up an excuse so only Tenten and Neji could hang out together. Lee whispered to Neji, "You got this Neji, go for it." Neji thanked him and left. Lee smiled, and sighed.

"Hey Neji, did I make you wait?" He shaked his head. They were sitting on a bench near a river watching the sunset. It was relaxing, Tenten was looking at Neji admiring him, and he looked at Tenten. "Neji-" "Tenten" They both spoke at the same time."You can go first, Tenten." Tenten nodded, "Okay, wel I-I like you..." 'Say something Neji!' Tenten thought to herself. She then nervously chuckled, "It's fine if you don't like me back-" "I like you too. I'm happy that you like me back." They locked eyes. Neji couldn't move his eyes away from Tenten's. The atmosphere felt romantic. Neji started moving closer to Tenten, she closed her eyes. They were about to kiss, but suddenly someone disturbed them. Tenten opened her eyes, and her face rose up. Neji was irk, he didn't bother hiding it. They were about to kiss for the first time and someone disturbed them. They saw Kaiya, and she asked if they could join them. Tenten wanted to beat the crap out of her. She was about to kiss Neji but Kaiya popped out of nowhere. "I'm sorry, but I gotta go, talk to you later Neji... and you too, Kaiya." Neji nodded, "Okay, stay safe Tenten." Neji got up and started walking back too. He got stopped by Kaiya. "Neji Kun where are you going?" Neji just ignored her and kept walking. When Tenten got home, she jumped onto her bed, and punched the pillow. She wanted to punch Kaiya in the face. 'Why did she have to show up and ruin the moment... But Neji, he likes me...' She hid her face in the pillow.

The next morning, Tenten woke up late. She decided to take a quick shower, before getting ready. Right after Tenten finished taking a shower, someone rang her doorbell. "Coming!" She shouted, and hurriedly put her clothes on. When she opened the door there was a present on the doorstep. It was a nicely wrapped present. She cautiously took it back in. She undid the wrapping and opened the gift. There was a letter, picture and a necklace. "My dear sweet little princess, I'm sorry for everything I did. But don't worry, I won't bother you anymore. If you're reading this right now, I would probably be already on the way leaving this village. This necklace was picked out by your mother and I. It was supposed to be for your 16 birthday, but I never gave this to you.I know you won't forgive me but please know that I still love you and forever. Goodbye my little princess. -Your beloved dad" Her mouth crumpled like used wrapping papers, "Dad, please come back... I still need you." She fell to her knees, hugging and crying. 'It's already 3:27p.m...' Tenten thought to herself. She didn't want to go to the club anymore. She wasn't feeling it. 'No, I should go. I shouldn't be at home miserable.' She didn't change, she just wore what she was wearing today, and went to Ino's house. "Hey guys." Tenten said while plopping down on the couch. "Tenten what happened to you?" Hinata asked. "Nothing, why?" "Your eyes are red and puffed up. Did you cry?" Tenten then remembered. "No, I... I just had an allergy." "Okay but, are you seriously going to the party dressed up like that?" Ino asked, making a disgusted face. Tenten looked at her outfit. "What's wrong with it?" Ino sighed, "It's ug-" Sakura put her hand to Ino's mouth. "It's pretty, that's all." Temari chuckled, "Tenten Sakura's right, but you should wear a dress." Tenten smiled, "I'll consider it."

The club wasn't that far, it was near Ino's home, so we met up with the guys. They started chatting and dancing. Ino was chatting with an unfamiliar face. 'I heard Ino talked about him a few times before during girl night. His name was Sai I think.' Tenten thought to herself. She got interrupted by Neji. "Hello Tenten." She looked, and saw Neji. He was always handsome, but tonight something feels different. "Hi Neji." It was awkward, since they confessed to each other last time, and was almost about to kiss. "Are you enjoying the party?" Neji asked. Tenten answered quickly, "Yea I guess. What about you?" Neji also agreed. They decided to get some beers. But then an annoying person came and sat next to them. It was Kaiya. She was dressed up in a short skirt, and a short shirt that's only covering her chest. Might as well wear a bra at this point. Tenten thought to herself. "Mind if I get both of you a drink?" Kaiya asked, smirking. "Sure, thanks." Tenten said. When she came back she only had two beers. "Oh I'm sorry, I accidentally only two beers, here Neji take this, and let me go get another one." Tenten fake smiled, "Oh it's fine, I can go get it myself." Tenten got up but sat back down again. Neji grabbed Tenten's wrist and pulled her back down. "You can take my beers instead. I don't want any beer." Tenten thanked him, and Kaiya got irritated. "No, no it's fine let me go grab another beer." Shikamaru called Neji to come over, and he looked at Tenten. "You can go there Neji." "I'll be right back." He quickly went there, and they were talking about something.

Hinata then came over, "So Tenten... Do you have anything to tell me?" Tenten looked puzzled. "Tell you about what?" Hinata looked over to Neji, and back to Tenten. Tenten couldn't help but smile, "Did he tell you?" Hinata laughed, "No, but I'm about to know. So now tell me!" Tenten chuckled, "Then how do you know there is something between him and I?" Hinata replied, "I could just tell how he came back yesterday. When he was going to leave, I asked where he was going, and he said he was going to hang out with you. When he came back, he kinda looked happy but also kinda dissatisfied. So I knew something must've happened between you two." Tenten clapped, "Wow Hinata, you sure are something special. You're an amazing observer. Well, I confessed to Neji, and he also likes me back." "That's not surprising but then why did he look upset? "Well, I was also upset, because Kaiya disrupted us, when we were about too... Umm.. Kiss." Hinata's face was surprised. "I would've also been annoyed. Speaking of which the devil is coming."

I looked over and saw Kaiya coming quickly, she then "accidentally" tripped, and spilled drinks on me. "What the heck Kaiya!" Ino said and quickly came with Sai. Not a lot of people noticed, there were loud noises, people still partying. 'Thank gosh Neji and the other people didn't notice.' "I didn't mean it, I'm so sorry Tenten!" Kaiya said. She then started to fake cry, trying to make it look like she didn't do it on purpose. "Yea right, go scram Kaiya." Temari said, while quickly walking over to Tenten. Tenten sighed, "It's fine I don't want to cause a big scene, I will just leave." Ino stopped Tenten from leaving, "No don't go, come to my house and take a shower, and you could come back It's a better option." Hinata and Temari agreed with Ino's idea. Tenten considered it and nodded. "Okay, thank you, and sorry for the trouble." Ino shakes her head, "No you didn't cause any trouble, the only trouble here is Kaiya." Ino said loudly hoping Kaiya would hear it.
