C H A P T E R 5

Tenten and Hinata came downstairs, and saw Neji already there. They were all eating silently. When they finished Tenten thanked them, and decided to leave. "Tenten wait, you should walk with Neji." Tenten and Neji both looked at her. "You and Neji can both walk there together, since you two are going to train together." Neji nodded, and before they left Tenten gave Hinata that dead look. Hinata giggled and said goodbye to them.They arrived, Kaiya was already there, she was the new exchange student from the Land of Iron. She was placed on Tenten's team. She had orange, curly hair, that is up to her waist. She was pretty looking, and has pretty features. But Tenten didn't like the way she dressed. It's always too revealing. Kaiya noticed Neji with Tenten. Tenten waved at Kaiya and she waved back. 'Why is she with Neji? Are they dating? No can't be!' Kaiya stood up, "Hey Tenten! How are you?" Tenten came over, and smiled, "I'm great thanks for asking and you?" Kaiya whispered to Tenten, "Are you and Neji dating?" Tenten shook her head, "No! What made you think that? We're just really close comrades." Kaiya was happy to hear the news. "Okay good!" Tenten looked confused, "What?" Kaiya replied, "Nothing, anyways we still got about 5 minutes." They saw Lee coming. They started training, Tenten was usually Neji's partner, but since Kaiya was an exchange student, Tenten was partnered with her, and Neji's partner was Lee. "Hi Neji! I'm so excited to be your partner!" Neji nodded, "Let's start training." Kaiya kept looking over Neji's side, and Tenten noticed it. "Kaiya, what are you looking at?" Kaiya didn't hear her, she was too distracted watching Neji. "Kaiya, are you even paying attention?" She got snapped out of it. Kaiya wanted to roll her eyes, but didn't. "Sorry, I was looking at something." She said in a sweet voice. Tenten replied, "Oh it's fine, let's keep training."They were taking a break, "So Tenten, how come you were with Neji today?" It reminded Tenten of them sleeping together. Her face went bright pink, and Kaiya noticed it. "What happened?" Tenten calmed down, her face went back to normal, "Nothing happened, I just remembered something. I had a sleepover at Hinata's place yesterday-" Kaiya, tried hard not to roll her eyes, "I'm asking why you were walking with him, not asking what you did yesterday." Tenten just ignored it, "If you would let me finish my sentence, Hinata is Neji's cousin. They both live in Hyuga's manor." Tenten took a sip of water. "Ooh" Kaiya replied looking at Neji. She noticed Neji was leaning onto a tree closing his eyes. "What is Neji doing?" Tenten looked, "Oh he's just relaxing. Why do you keep asking questions about him? Do you like him?" Kaiya blushed, "Whattt? Nooo, what possibly makes you think that." Tenten giggles, "You keep asking me questions about him, and you keep looking at him." Kaiya was blushing, she looked over at Neji, she noticed he was staring at her side. 'Don't panic. HE'S STARING AT ME! DOES HE LIKE ME?' Kaiya thought to herself. Lee came over to Neji, Hey Neji! Wanna run 50 laps around with me, after training?" Neji shook his head. Lee pouted, "Aw, okay maybe next time." Kaiya was annoyed. 'Gosh why did Lee have to ruin it. So annoying. He was literally staring at me.' Lee then came over. "Hey Tenten and Kaiya wanna run 50 laps with me after training?" Tenten smiled at him, "I'm good Lee, thanks for asking though." 'Ugh, it annoys me how Tenten is acting so kind, and cheerful. So fake.' Tenten taps Kaiya on the shoulder. "Kaiya, Lee is asking you if you wanna run 50 laps with him." Kaiya replied, "No I'm good. Thanks." Lee sighed, "Okay, I guess none of you wanna train with me. I will just train by myself" Lee sighed. "Are you guys sure, you don't want to train with me." Neji started walking to the training place. "Yes we're sure Lee. Let's start training again." Kaiya rolled her eyes, "What part of no do you not understand? Stop being so annoying." Lee sighed, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to annoy you guys." Tenten felt bad, "You didn't have to be rude about it, Kaiya." Kaiya was getting angry, 'Of course, Tenten is acting like she cares, in front of them trying to impress them. What a fake person.' "Well we made it clear to him, that we don't want to go run laps with him." Tenten ignored her comment, "Actually, I feel like running laps with you after training." Kaiya rolled her eyes and mumbled, "Of course, Tenten just has to act like a saint. Fake." Tenten heard it, and it kind of hurt her feelings. She just pretends not to hear it, and still has a cheerful face. "Kaiya, that's rude to say that. You should apologize." Lee said defensively. "Why-" Kaiya was cut off by Neji. "Lee is right, it's wrong." Kaiya's face was getting red from anger. "It's fine guys, you don't have to Kaiya." Kaiya ignored it, "Fine, I'm "sorry". Lee smiled, "See it's not that hard, we all can get together, like a happy family!" It made Kaiya gag. "Who would want to be family with the bushy brow. His fashion is so ugh, and he's so annoying." Kaiya just pretended to smile. "Of course." After training, Tenten was packing her weapons and scrolls. "Hi Tenten! Are you ready to run laps with me? Thanks for running with me today. It makes me very happy." Tenten suddenly remembered, 'Darn, why did I say that. I'm so tired today, but I can't just tell him that I changed my mind. What if he gets upset' Tenten answered smiling, "Yes, I'm very excited to run laps with you." Lee dragged her hand, "Okay then what are you waiting for? Let's go! Oh and bye Neji and Kaiya!" Tenten waved bye to them. Neji also said bye to them. Kaiya just pretended not to see it. "Soo, Neji..." When she looked back at Neji, he was gone. 'Where is he? Ugh, whatever next time.' After running 50 laps, Lee wanted to run more, but Tenten was tired. "I'm sorry Lee, I'm really tired. I can't run anymore." Lee understood, "Don't be, thank you so much for running with me today Tenten. It makes me very happy. You should go home, take a shower, and relax. See you next time!" Tenten wiped the sweat off of her forehead, "Thanks Lee, see you later!" While walking, Tenten saw Temari. "Temari! When did you come here?" Tenten came happily walking to them." Tenten noticed Shikamaru was also there. It seems to Tenten that they were on a date. "I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to interrupt your guys' date!" Temari blushed and smiled, "We're not dating! We're just umm... Hanging out as a friend.!" Tenten laughed, "Wait are you coming to the hot spring today?" Temair asked. Tenten suddenly remembered, "Yea, thanks for reminding me I almost forgot haha. Talk to you later!" Temari chuckled, "Cya!"Tenten arrived home, 'No sign of my dad, good.' She went inside the house and locked the door. She picked out some comfortable outfits to wear. After taking a hot warm shower, she put her hair in two buns so the water wouldn't drip. Tenten was hungry. 'I'm so lazy to cook, and I'm also too lazy to go to the village, to buy food.' Tenten groaned. But her stomach also growled, "Okay I will just make myself a quick dinner." She just used leftover rice, and cooked a fish. She started eating, 'Yum! Now that satisfies my hunger, let's clean the dishes, and read a book.' She cleaned the dishes, and got her book. Right when she lays on her bed, someone knocks on her door. She groaned, 'Of course! Right when I finally got to relax someone just had to disturb it.' She slowly walked to the door, and opened it. "YOU AGAIN?" Tenten tried to close the door, but he stopped it. "Tenten please forgive me, I will do anything! Just please." Tenten sighed, 'Can this get any worse?' "Here, if you want me to forgive you, just walk out of my life." Tenten tried to close the door again. "No Tenten please! I have nowhere to live, nor a family. I only have you!" Tenten sighed, and rubbed her temples. "You only came back to me because you lost everything. Well you deserved it!" With that she shut her door hard. Tenten heart ached, she cried silently behind the door. She heard her father sigh and walked away.It was about 6:00p.m and Tenten just woke up from a nap. "Oh shoot! I forgot about my friends! Hot spring, a great place for me to relax." Tenten hurriedly got changed, and grabbed her stuff, and left. While she was walking she saw Sakura. "Hey Sakura! Sorry I'm late-" Ino came behind her, gasping for more air. "Am I late?" Tenten looked behind her. "Hey Ino!" When Ino caught her breath she finally talked, "Hey Tenten and Sakura. Sorry I'm late, anyways where is everyone?" Sakura laughed, "They are all in, I was gonna go find you guys, thinking that you might've forgotten it." They all went in. The boys were on the other side, of course separated from the girls. "Hey guys, sorry that I'm late!" They all waved, Temari, Hinata, was already in the hot spring chatting. "Tenten sorry I didn't visit you yesterday, I was really tired from traveling." Tenten smiled, "Don't be, so when did you and Shikamaru start-" Shikamaru covered Tenten's mouth. The girls giggle, Ino asked, "Wait, you and Shikamaru are together?" She covered her face with her hands. The girl took the answer as yes. "You two looks soo cute together!" Sakura said. "I can't wait to see you two get married and have kids!" Ino squealed happily. Temari's face went really red like a tomato, and Hinata just giggled. Tenten laughed, "Sorry Temari, I didn't know you meant to keep it a secret." Temari just sighed, "It's fine, I would've told them either way." They were all happily chit chatting. Over at the boys' side, Neji was sitting down relaxing in the hot spring, with Shikamaru, Sasuke, and Choji. Naruto was talking with Shino and Kiba. They were all waiting for Lee. He said he would join after training. Lee was doing handstands. "676, 677, 678..." Neji saw Naruto thinking. 'He better not be looking over to the girls' side.' "Naruto, what are you doing? You better not be looking over at the girls' side." Naruto replied, "I'm not! I was just thinking something!" Neji looked at him, "You better." Few minutes passed, they were all in a good conversation. "Where's Lee?" Naruto asked. "I don't know." Kiba replied. The dog was next to Kiba. "Oh hey girls! I totally didn't expect to see you guys here?" Kaiya said joining in. "Oh hi Kaiya!" Tenten smiled at her. The girls don't seem to like Kaiya Tenten thought to herself. "Don't mind if I join you guys." Ino said, "Of course, we totally don't mind you just joining us." Ino said in a sarcastic tone. 'Ugh, out of all people, it just had to be Kaiya.' Ino thought to herself. Sakura stood up, "Oh umm... look at the time, guys let's go eat! I'm starving!" The girls nodded, "Yea same." "Well bye Kaiya!" Ino said happily. They walked out, leaving Kaiya there. "Is it fine to do that? She didn't do anything wrong." Temari asked. Sakura groaned, "I just can't stand those types of people, she's rude to us." Temari asked, "What did she do to you guys?" Sakura whispered, "She always talks about herself which is fine, but never asked me how I feel. She takes my things without asking and never returns it back. Then she would talk bad about my other friends, which I hate and always act bossy." Hinata and Ino also nodded. "Okay well let's tell the boys after we get changed." Hinata apologised, "I'm sorry guys, I think Kaiya might've heard me talking about it with Neji, about us hanging out so that could've been why she was here today. She also asked me about it." Temari chuckled, "It's fine, nobody cares about it." Over at the boys' side, Lee finally came. "Hi guys! I'm really really really sorry that I came late. Please forgive me!" Naruto smiled and laughed, "Don't be, we're happy that you came, we thought you weren't going to make it." The girls yelled at the boys telling them to hurry up and go to the restaurant. So they all got changed. While walking it was getting dark, they went to a BBQ restaurant. Sakura was talking with Sasuke, which surprisingly Sasuke talked back to her. The girls noticed and laughed. Temari and Shikamaru were also talking, and their face went red when the boys found out. Kiba was sitting next to his dog eating, like Choji. Ino and Lee were in a conversation with Shino. Tenten and Neji were sitting next to each other. Hinata was beside Tenten. Naruto sat next to Hinata. They were all waiting for their food. When the food had arrived they started eating. Naruto ordered a BBQ Ramen as expected, and Hinata ordered the same as him.After eating, it was getting dark, they all left. Tenten and Hinata were talking outside, until Naruto came. "Oh hey Hinata, and Tenten." Teten felt the awkward atmosphere, "Oh look at the time, I have to go. Bye Hinata and Naruto." They waved goodbye and Tenten left. She wondered, "Is Naruto going to confess his feeling to Hinata?" While walking back, the wind blew on Tenten and she felt relaxed. The closer she got, she noticed a person standing there. "What do you want?" The person looked at her, "Tenten, I'm really sorry. Please forgive me? I really have changed. I'm leaving the village in a few days..." Tenten sighed, "Okay I don't care. Now leave." Tenten walked past him, and went inside. While walking back, Neji noticed Naruto and Hinata sitting on a bench together watching the water fountain, talking. He decided not to bother them, and walked back to the manor. He decided to train a little more before heading to sleep.
