Chapter 3: I'm So Nervous

(Cecelia's Pov)

After yesterday's exciting events, I pretty much spent the rest of my night ice skatin until it was time for dinner, which I took a cold shower before dinner because I was all worn out and sweaty from skatin. After my shower, we had dinner like a family and talked about the plans for tomorrow which I'm so excited but so very nervous for.

Anyways, the next day, I fluttered my eyes open to the gloominess but sunshine shinin through my bedroom window. I smiled tiredly and sighed as I lied in bed for a few moments and waited till I woke up a bit more. I heard Snowflake coo which made smile softly and giggle as I sat up and rubbed my face tiredly. I yawned and hopped out of bed strechin.

I went to my window and opened up my curtains and opened my window a bit to let the nice cool air in. I smiled softly and took a deep breath as the cold air blew gently through my bed head hair. I put my hair in a messy bun and headed over to Snowflake and pet her soft fur "Mornin Sweet girl" I said,

She cooed and yawned which made me smile as I yawned again, "Come on. Let's get breakfast" I said, she cooed and hopped on my shoulder which made me smile as we headed out of my room and downstairs to the kitchen seein the others like always cause they always wake up before I do because of work or habit.

They looked at me and smiled "Mornin Dear" Dad greeted, I smiled softly as I grabbed a mug and poured myself a cup of coffee and got breakfast for Snowflake. When I got her food and water, I sat at the table by Ced who was talkin with dad. I set Snowflake's breakfast on the table as she hopped off my shoulder to eat "I see Snowflake's become attached to ya" Ced said, I scoffed "I would hope so" I said and pet her head while she ate her breakfast.

When mum finished breakfast, me and Ced helped her set the table and bring the food and handed everyone plates and silverware. After that, we all sat down, took turns gettin food and ate and talked about today "Are you excited for today hun?" Mum asked, I smiled softly as my stomach churned anxiously which made me pick at my food "I'm very nervous" I said,

Everyone smiled softly as Cedric rubbed my back "you'll be okay sis. It's okay to be nervous because I was too when I first starter" he said, I pouted "But you were 11, I'm 16" I said, he smiled softly "But it's your first year at Hogwarts so it makes sense why but I promise I will always be by your side okay?" he reassured, I smiled softly and nodded "thanks Ceddy" I whispered, he smiled and squeezed my hand which made me take a deep breath and finish up breakfast.

After breakfast, our parents took care of cleanin while we and Cedric made sure we had everything we needed for Hogwarts and got dressed. I hopped out of my pj's and into navy blue ripped jeans with a black bralette and tan button up cardigan that hung off the shoulder.

I slid on my boots, took my hair down from my messy bun and put on a beanie and looked around makin sure I had everythin. I whistled for Snowflake as she landed on my shoulder "ready girl?" I asked takin a deep breath, she cooed which made me smile as I grabbed my suitcases, turned off my light and headed downstairs where the others were all dressed and waitin.

They looked at me and smiled "Ready?" Dad asked, I nodded as we headed out to the car, put our suits in the trunk and hopped in the car and off to the Train Station...Cedric held my hand cause my nerves were actin up again which made me smile softly as music played softly to calm me down.

When we got to the train station, I was a little confused which made the others smirk a little "ready to have your mind blown?" Cedric asked, I nodded and followed them to Platform 9-10. I looked at mum, dad and Cedric who smirked.

I titled my head "ready?" Cedric asked, I nodded as he grabbed his suitcases and ran straight into the wall which made me gasp as I thought he was out of his mind but he went right through like the wall was invisible. I looked at my parents who put their hands on my shoulders "you just walk right through?" I asked,

My parents nodded "we'll go with you" Mum said, I nodded as I took a deep breath, grabbed my suitcases while me, mum and dad walked straight to the wall to another Train Station? I was so lost...but I saw the Hogwarts Express which made me smiled softly "So we have a special train station for just witches and wizards?" I asked,

Everyone chuckled "Rightio sis" Ced said, I giggled a little as we saw many, many kids with their parents which made my mouth dry. I swallowed the anxiety as me and Ced looked at our parents "Well here you kids are" Mum said, me and Ced smiled softly "I'll come in to check on ya every once in a while since the Ministry isn't far from the school" Dad said,

Me and Ced nodded as we hugged our parents "Have fun love okay? And write to me so I know how you are ya?" Mum said, I smiled softly and nodded as she kissed my head which made me smile "Come on sis. We should go find our seats" Ced said, I nodded as we waved bye to our parents, grabbed our cases and headed on the train.

I gripped Cedric's hand as we pushed past people to find an empty seating area. When we did, we put our suitcases on the seat across from us and sat down as the train slowly started to take off. Cedric still held my hand as Snowflake remained on my shoulder "it'll be okay sis" he said, I smiled softly and lied my head on his shoulder as the train took off and we were off...Well Hogwarts, here I come.

(Several Hours Later)

I must have fallen asleep because the next thing you know, I felt Cedric shake my shoulders a bit. I fluttered my eyes open to see it was quiet dark outside, meanin it must have been a long trip to Hogwarts...I mean, makes sense really.

I sighed and blinked a few times as I sighed and rubbed my face tiredly. Ced chuckled "Come on. Let's go" Ced said, I nodded as we grabbed our things and headed out to the school...I looked at it from a far and was just shocked on how on how big the school was.

I held onto Cedric's arm anxiously as we walked in the school and walked up the flight of stairs until we saw assumingly one of the professors, "Now I do have to take our stuff to our common room. Then I'll come back and be right with you okay?" Ced asked softly,

I smiled anxiously and nodded which made him nod as he kissed my head, grabbed our things and took it to wherever our house was which I didn't know where it was but knowin Cedric would help me of course.

Other kids were talkin among themselves as I fiddled with my fingers anxiously "Welcome to Hogwarts" The Professor said as everyone went quiet "Now in a few moments you will pass through these door to meet up with your classmates. But before you can take your seats, you will be sorted into your houses. There are Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Now while you're here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you points any rule breaking and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the highest points is rewarded the house cup" The professor announced, "The ceremony will begin momentarily" She said and walked off.

After a few moments, the big doors in front of us opened which revealed 4 tables with so many people along them. My eyes widen as my heart stammered and my hands trembled a bit. The kids started to walk in as I waited for Ced. Thankfully I heard him runnin back "Just in time" He whispered,

I smiled nervously which made him smile and hold onto my shaky and sweaty hand "you'll be okay" he whispered, I nodded as we walked in which caught people's attention. I took a few deep breaths as we met up with the group of kids in the front.

The Professor had a scroll as she would be readin off names where we'd sit on the stool and have the Sortin Hat placed on our heads to be placed in our houses. After the first few people went, I waited for my name to be called "Cecelia Diggory!" She called out. I literally sensed people starin which made me take a deep breath as my brother kissed my head which made me smile and walk up to the chair and sat down.

The Professor placed the hat on my head "Ah another Diggory. Very interestin. Caring, Kind, Loyal, Determined, Dedicated, Hard-Working...I know. HUFFLEPUFF!" The hat shouted which made the people at the Hufflepuff table clap and cheer along with my brother which made me smile softly as I got down from the and walked to my table with Ced.

We sat down as he rubbed my back which made me smile softly as we waited until the rest of the kids got Sorted into their houses. When they did, Professor Albus Dumbledore made his yearly announcements "Welcome new Students of Hogwarts School Witchcraft and Witchery. We hope you have a wonderful time this year at our school. If you have any questions or concerns come talk to me or any of your Professors. Now enjoy supper" He said as food just appeared in front of us.

I felt too anxious to eat honestly, Ced rubbed my back "Hey. You did it, we're here. Together and will always be" he said softly, I smiled softly and nodded as I slowly ate my food and talked with Ced as he'd show me around cause he's been signed up as a Prefect which is someone who wanders around the school to make sure kids are asleep and not wanderin around and such which is cool...I just hope I can Ice Skate soon...I need to get my first day down that's it.

After supper, our Prefects showed us to our dorms which ours were located by the kitchen. It was accessed through a pile of large barrels, found stacked in a shadowy stone recess on a right-hand side corridor. The barrel two from the bottom, middle of the second row, will open if tapped in the rhythm of 'Helga Hufflepuff'

Cedric told me as a security device to repel non-Hufflepuff students, tapping on the wrong barrel, or tapping the incorrect number of times, results in one of the other lids burstin off, drenchin the impostor in which was sounded pretty funny.

Once we make it through the tunnel entryway, I couldn't help but look around in awe...it was so pretty. The Hufflepuff dormitory looked like a quite cozy and welcomin place; it felt sunny. The common room is a large, earthy, round room with low ceilins. The view from the round windows is of dandelions and rippling grass.

The decor emphasizes the earthy-feel of the room with plants hangin and restin all about the room, some that even sing and dance. Burnished copper touching with plush, cozy yellow and black patterned sofas and chairs welcome Hufflepuff students to relax and discuss the interestin specimens brought in by the , who I learned her name was. She seemed like a nice lady. Cedric showed us our dorms which were round doors in the walls of the common room...I couldn't stop starin in awe on how beautiful it all was...so perfect.

After that, we had some time before we had to turn in for tonight and boy was I exhausted. I headed up to my dorms which I shared with a couple other of the girls. I saw Snowflake on my dresser along with Hufflepuff clothes for school and whatnot which was cute.

I smiled softly as I unpacked my suitcases and sat on my bed. The other girls already seemed to get along great which made me sigh as they headed out to do whatever while I sat in the silence which was makin my nerves a lot better.

There was a knock on my door "Come in" I said loud enough knowin it was my brother. He walked in with a small smile on his face which made me smile "Hey. You all unpacked?" He asked sittin on the edge of my bed. I smiled softly and nodded which made him smile and rub my legs "Good. I'll wait for you tomorrow mornin so we can go to the Great Hall for breakfast, I'm sure we'll have the same classes so you'll be with me the entire time okay?" Ced asked,

I smiled softly and nodded "I feel pathetic Ceddy" I whispered, he frowned "Why?" he asked, "because...I'm 16, I still shouldn't have to hide behind my big brother...I mean what if somethin happens to you? What am I supposed to do?" I asked sadly, Cedric frowned and rubbed my head "Hey. I'm not goin anywhere. I promise okay? I will always, always be by your side and you're not pathetic at all. It's your first time here so it make sense but I promise I'll let you meet some people I know you'll get along with and I know that you're gonna be okay" he said softly,

I nodded and hugged him tightly "I love you Cedric" I whispered, he smiled and kissed my head "I love you too Cecelia" he whispered which made me smile "get some rest. You gotta get up early tomorrow" he said, I nodded as he kissed my head and headed out of my dorm which made me sigh as I changed into some pj's and lied in bed.

I sighed and looked outside the window seein it was dark which made me sigh as I snuggled up against the pillow and blanket and tried to get some sleep...well first day nerves...let's just see how tomorrow goes huh?
