Three days passed, out of SEVEN. THREE. out of SEVEN.

I wanted to get the hell out of this house so bad, matter of fact Jeonju itself. I could see why she was placed into the psych unit for a bit.

The alcoholism had got worse, she was aggressive and even turned to violence with me. Luckily, they didn't hurt super badly, except for two, one across my cheekbone which had formed into a bruise, and one around my left arm.

It could've been worse though.

It seemed as if she was getting delusions from the alcohol, and I don't even know really what was going on with her. She just got rowdy and aggressive until she fell asleep.

In the mornings she was fine, which is why it's difficult for me to tell her anything or be mad at her. She'll make me breakfast, she'll help me with things, and then when night strikes, it's violence and noise.

"Honey, how did you get that bruise?" She asked me, looking at my cheekbone which was printed with a bluish purplish bruise. See, she doesn't even remember anything, and I don't have the heart to tell her that she turns into a completely different person when drunk.

"Ahh, I just fell. I'm okay." I gave her a faint smile as she nodded. I had to hide it from Sunghoon, concealer was my best friend at the bruises on my arms and the whole bruise on my cheekbone.

We went on a farm today, collecting organic vegetables because my mother insisted on making dishes for me to take home - which I didn't quite mind really. I did miss my mother's cooking, and as she got older, the less she was able to cook as much as she used to.

To be honest Jeonju takes me through my entire childhood, every shop I used to sit at, where the owner would give me free candy, the bookstores I used to read in with friends, or my old school, it brought so many memories.

I can't believe I'm really getting older.

I snapped out of my feels as I heard a male voice call for my name. Not recognisable, so not Sunghoon. I turned around, and to my surprise it was an actual recognisable face.

"Jaehyun? Is that actually you?" I smiled as we hugged each other.

"Yerin! Oh you look good!" He spoke with a smile, "What brings you back home, hm? Little city girl."

"Oh you know, just spontaneous break from Seoul." I shrugged as we walked around, catching up. Jaehyun was one of my friends back in school, I remember him through a certain memory. He was playing football, and me and my friends were on the benches at the side, and suddenly the last thing I remember was a ball blasted into my face.

That was Jaehyun.

And we were just casual friends, back in school there wasn't such thing as cliques, mean girls, sporty boys, everybody was just friends with each other. The good times.

"I can't believe you're still here, I would've thought you had took a career in football, y'know, because your aim is soooo good." I joked, in reference to that one time.

"Ahh, you're never going to let that down are you? It was an accident." He rolled his eyes sassily, "How was 13 year old Jaehyun supposed to know that I'd blast a football into a girls face."

I laughed as he took some offence to that.

"So, what's up with life in general." I asked him, strolling around.

"Eh, the basic, boring ass education, boring ass job. I live with my girlfriend, you know, Mirae?" He mentioned and I raised my eyebrows, woah, I thought they hated each other.

"Huh, enemies to lovers I see." I laughed as he laughed along, nodding his head.

"Something like that. How bout you?" He asked me.

"Hmm, let's see. I have a boyfriend, education is fine, I don't work but I live alone. Just my mother is ill, so that sucks." I sighed at the end as he pressed his lips together.

"Hate to see my parents grow old, like wow, they've grown up with me their entire lives, but I've only seen them for a part of theirs." Jaehyun decided to get a little deep, I raised a brow slightly.

"Well that was very deep." I broke the tension as we both laughed.

"Who's the guy? Let me guess, Mingi?" Jaehyun mentioned a guy who I used to playfully flirt with, nothing really between us, just the standard female-male joking interactions during classes.

"Very funny, but no, his name is Park Sunghoon." I smiled, just thinking about Sunghoon.

"Woah, hold on, I swear that guy's dad has like a huge ass enterprise." Jaehyun looked at me with widened eyes.

"Yeah, to be honest, I don't really know much about business, nor do I really care, but yeah his dad owns something like that." I shrugged.

"DAMN. You're going to live well. Congrats Lee Yerin, your grandkids and grand-grandkids will live in luxury." Jaehyun laughed as I couldn't help but agree.

"Oh please. Don't even." I chuckled, until my mother called my name.
