21:23, 26 October 2023A few weeks went by, thank god it's break now. A long break too. Dealing with Areum and her antics was so annoying.
And even when I saw her in school she'd try and pull some shit or whatever. It wasn't anything super big, it's just annoying to deal with and see.
Unfortunately, Sunghoon had to go visit his parents - something along the lines of business inheritence or whatever, I didn't really care.
I had my own problems to deal with.
Over the course of the weeks, my mother had been admitted into a psych ward for some reason, she was hospitalised initially a few months ago, but then apparently she just started losing her mind somehow.
I tried to visit as much as I could, and really, it didn't seem like she was doing bad. But, thankfully, she was discharged a few days ago and she went home.
This meant I had to get to Jeonju.
It was late at night, and Sunghoon offered to take me to Jeonju, despite me insisting he shouldn't and he's got to be elsewhere in the morning - he still did.
And now we had to part for a week. Ouchhh.
He dropped me off near my house, holding me by the waist as he looked at me.
"Call. Me." He told me, "Everyday, I don't care if you're running errands or half asleep or even showering, I need you to call me." He spoke once again, I chuckled.
"Why don't you call me?" I raised an eyebrow at why I had to initiate every call.
"Oh, trust me, I will be. Every hour of the day." He smiled, kissing me on the forehead. I simply rolled my eyes playfully.
"Yeah, looking forward to that. Now go, you gotta leave early in the morning." I didn't want him to leave, but it's just the way it turned out I guess. We're only separated for a week anyways, it won't be so bad.
"Pisses me off how we're away from each other for a week." Sunghoon groaned loudly, "I'll see if I can come earlier." He smiled as I giggled at him.
"Do your business then come if you finish earlier, now go, go on Sunghoon." I tried to shoo him away, he just held my waist and landed a kiss on my lips.
We pulled away and I waved him goodbye as he watched me walk over to my house, opening the door. He was upset, I was upset, but it's the way life goes.
-
The house was quiet, empty, and rather cold. It had a new house kinda smell, but maybe that's because I've not been here in years.
"Mother?" I looked around, flicking the lights on.
And in the living room, lay my mother passed out on the couch, bottles of alcohol surrounding her and the floor.
Ooh. Rough. I grimaced at the state she was in, she had always had an alcohol problem, not too bad though. It was just at night she'd drink until she went to sleep.
I shrugged, cleaning the bottles off the table as quietly as possible, it's not like she'd wake up, she's a pretty heavy sleeper when she drinks. But still, I hate when she wakes up still drunk.
I cleaned up, covered her with a blanket and settled my suitcase upstairs in my old room. Honestly, it felt so weird already not being around Sunghoon - it was so weird that I cringed at my own self.
I never understood super affectionate couples who couldn't go a day without each other until Sunghoon. And like an idiot, I just found myself recalling memories and whatnot that we experienced together.
Ugh, Park Sunghoon.
Jiwoo suddenly facetimed me.
"HEY GIRL, HOW'S IT IN JEONJU??" She yelled, her face covering the entire screen.
"Nostalgic as FUCK." I told her, looking around my room, nothing much has changed since I last was here. Except obviously, decor was taken down, and it was basically stripped to just bare furniture.
And just like that, we talked on Facetime for a bit, till we both were sleepy, and passed straight out onto our beds.
