Part 3

It took us ten minutes to walk back. When we arrived there was a new car in the drive. I made my way inside behind the boys.

"Victor as you missed me so much I rushed over here as fast as I could and when I get here I get no welcoming party! I'm hurt!" I peeked around Silas' shoulder to see who was talking; there were two men who looked to be a couple of years older than me. One had sandy blonde hair with cheeky green eyes. I looked to the other man and met steel grey eyes. His brown hair was cut short and he wore black rimmed glasses like Kota's and wore a suit. One word to describe him was perfect.

"Well Victor, if it wasn't to see my awesomeness, then why did you call me here?"

"We all wanted to talk to you about something. This is Sang. Sang this is Dr. Green and Mr. Blackbourne" All the boys moved so they could see me fully.

"So that was why my wolf was going so crazy! Mate!"

"I'm sorry I think you're wrong." When you have a mate you feel sparks and they smell nice to only you. He doesn't smell nice to me and I don't know about the sparks.

"That's what we want to talk to you about. She is all of our mates and we don't feel the sparks you are meant to." I looked around at all of them confused.

"What are you talking about?" I asked.

"All nine of us are your mates. We know this as we feel a very strong pull towards you. I felt it last night and told all the boys to not tell you anything yet until we talked to doc." Kota stated.

"How come we don't feel the sparks?"

"Sweetie, can you talk to your wolf?" Dr. Green asked.

"No."

"Do you shift easily?"

"Yes."

"Is your smell, hearing and strength good?"

"Um... I don't know."

"Do you heal fast?"

"Faster than a normal human would but only a couple of days faster."

"Last thing can you touch me on the hand please?" I reached out and touched his hand. Nothing.

"What's wrong doc?" Gabe asked.

"I think someone is giving her something that controls the effects of the wolf. That would explain why she doesn't talk to her wolf, her healing is slower and why we don't feel the effects of mates. We just feel a strong pull towards her, our wolves react around her as well."

"Who?" They all looked at me.

"I don't know. My mom thinks I am a freak and hates me."

"Dr. Green, how long would Miss..." Mr Blackbourne started.

"Sorenson." I supplied.

"How long would Miss Sorenson have to go without the drug for it to wear off?"

"If her mother is giving it to her, and we don't know how long for then it would be a couple of days for it to wear off fully."

"How is she giving it to me? She never comes out of her room and when she does..." I trailed off at the end not wanting to tell them about my punishments.

"What happens when she does Miss Sorenson?" I looked around the room avoiding eye contact.

"Aggele mou, tell us please."

"She punishes me." I whisper so low that they wouldn't be able to hear. I heard a sharp intake of breath from my right. I looked up at North.

"What does she do?" Gabe asks looking confused.

"Punishes her." North replies. All the boys start shouting over one another. Mr Blackbourne cuts his hand through the air silencing them.

"How?" He asks

"She ties me up in silver chains. And if she is really mad then she will hit and kick me as well." All of the boys looked in pain. I heard some of them whimper. silver is like sunlight for vampires. It burns your skin.

"She might put the drug in the food and drink?" Luke suggested.

"OK, Miss Sorenson you will eat out at Mr Lee's or Mr Griffin's and we will give you some water and snacks to put in your room. Tomorrow is registration day at Ashley Waters, Miss Sorenson are you attending this school?" I nod "OK then, we will meet you at the school. Mr Griffin, could you go and get some water and snacks for Miss Sorenson to put in her room?" Nathan walked out of the room and into the kitchen.

"We?"

"Yes we, Dr. Green and I will be teachers."

Nathan came back with a bag with water and some snacks in and handed them to me.

"I should get back home," I said.

"What about dinner?"

"I'll have some crackers." I said lifting the bag.

"OK, be safe." Kota said hugging me. I was passed around for goodbye hugs. I left Nathan's house with a smile on my face.

When I arrived home I listened to see if my mom was awake. I heard nothing so I made my way up to my room. I put the snacks and water into the attic space. I was coming out of the attic space when I heard my mom calling for me. I made my way downstairs.

"Yes, you called." I said.

"Where were you today?"

"I was up in my room."

"No, I was calling you earlier and you didn't come down."

"I was walking in the woods."

"DON'T LIE TO ME, YOU SLUT! YOU WERE AT A BOY'S HOUSE, MARIE SAW YOU! I WILL NOT LET YOU WHORE AROUND IN MY HOUSE! YOU ARE WEARING A BOY'S SHIRT AND NOTHING ELSE! THEY WON'T WANT YOU, YOU FREAK!" she shouted. She grabbed onto my arm and pulled me to the corridor. She went to the cupboard and retrieved the silver chains. She tied my arms together behind my back. I could feel my skin burning. She let me fall to the floor and started to kick me in the side and stomach shouting at me as she does.

"STAY HERE BITCH!" I was left on the hallway floor for a couple of hours. Marie came down for something to eat and just ignored me. When my dad did finally come home it was dark out and my skin felt like it was on fire. He looked at me and asked what I had done. I just ignored him; if I opened my mouth then I would just scream. He grabbed a pair of gloves and untied me.

"Go to your room." He told me. I went upstairs and into the bathroom. I lifted my shirt and saw that my side and stomach was black, blue and purple. I looked down at my wrists and saw that they were red and bleeding. I bandaged my wrists and went into my room; I fell onto the bed and fell to sleep instantly.

I woke up in the morning, in the same shirt that Kota had given me. I rolled off my bed with difficulty and went to get dressed. My wounds on my wrists were a bit better as they weren't bleeding anymore but they were still red. My bruises still looked bad but they would be better by tomorrow hopefully. I put on a green sweater that was too big for me and a pair of shorts. I pulled the sleeves down to cover my bandages and went into the attic space and got myself a bottle of water and an apple. I didn't get to have any dinner last night. I hear my dad call up the stairs saying it was time to go. I went downstairs and out to the car. Marie was sat in the passenger side looking at her makeup. I looked down the road to Kota's, his car was already gone. I got into the back and Marie turned to me.

"Stay away from me this year freak; I don't want people to think that we are related." I was about to reply when my dad came out. He got into the driver's seat and started off.

"Ready? Know what you want to do?"

"No not really." I replied.

"Marie?" She just ignored him looking in the mirror at her makeup again. The rest of the ride went by in silence. When we arrived the building was two storeys, brown and drab with trailers behind it. The parking lot was nearly full. When we were parked I got out and looked around for any of the boys' cars. I couldn't see any of them. Are they not here yet? My dad walked towards the side door of the school. Marie was walking as far away from me as possible. I could feel eyes on me; I looked around at the surrounding cars and saw no one. When we got inside it was crowded and I quickly lost Marie and my dad. I was trying to push through crowd when I felt someone watching me again. I was spinning around trying to locate who was watching me when I bumped into someone.

"Sorry," I said without looking at who I had hit.

"Name?" I looked up to see a man wearing a brown corduroy suit. He had brown hair and mustache with watery eyes.

"Sang."

"Last name." He said sounding annoyed.

"Sorenson. Sang Sorenson." I replied.

"Well, Miss Sang Sorenson you will have to go home and change, your shorts are too short for school regulations." I was about to argue that there were people who were wearing nearly nothing when a voice beat me to it.

"Mr McCoy. There you are." I turned to see Mr Blackbourne coming towards me.

"Mr Blackbourne." He replied.

"Miss Sorenson please could you go to my office, I would like to have a talk with you. Go to the main office, someone will tell you the way from there." He said with a pointed look saying that the boys would be there.

"Miss Sorenson was actually about to go home and change."

"I believe that there are students walking around wearing far worse."

"Mr Blackbourne you will not come into my school and tell me how to run it. I am in charge of this school."

"I thought Mr Hendricks' name is under principal not yours. Now I need to talk to you without Miss Sorenson present." I took that my cue to leave and went to find the office. I found the office area and was about to go up to the desk to ask where Mr Blackbourne's office was when I saw Gabe coming out of a corridor looking around. He saw me by the entrance and ran up to me.

"Sang!" He said hugging me.

"Where are the others?"

"They're down here." He said pulling me down the corridor he had just came out of. We stopped outside of a door that was unmarked. Gabe pushed open the door and inside stood the rest of the boys except for Dr. Green. I heard my name being called 6 times and was pulled into hugs with each of them. I heard a knock on the door. I looked to the boys confused. Who could be knocking on the door?

"Yes?" Kota called out. Dr. Green poked his head in.

"Why did you knock Doc? This is your office as well."

"You don't know if anyone is behind the door and you could hit them. I was hiding behind the door once trying to scare Owen when he came barging in and slammed the door into me." I giggled which made the boys start laughing as well.

"Hey Missy you stop that, it's my day off. I don't want to have to bring someone back from the dead because they died of laughter. Trust me it can happen, I'm a doctor." Dr. Green said with a wink which made me laugh even more. There was another knock on the door and we all stopped laughing.

"Yes?" Dr. Green called out. The door opened to reveal a tall man who was wearing thick, brown rimmed glasses and his head was shaved clean. He looked around the room with his gaze finishing on me.

"Principal Hendricks what can I do for you?" Dr Green asked.

"I was just coming to welcome you all to our school," He looked to me. "Do you go to the Academy too?"

"No." I said confused looking around at the boys. What is the Academy? The boys don't go here normally? They just glared at Mr. Hendricks.

"Well, welcome to our school, hope you enjoy attending here." He said, but I could tell that he didn't mean it and it sounded like a threat.

"We hope us all attending here is very enlightening." Kota replies. The principle looks around once more before leaving.

"What's the Academy?"

"As you have probably guessed we don't attend here normally, we attend a private school and are on loan here to help make the school better." I knew he wasn't telling me the full truth, but I let it slide for now. It was another 2 minutes before the door opened to reveal Mr. Blackbourne.

"Miss Sorenson, are you OK?"

"Yes, thanks."

"Have you been able to register yet?"

"No."

"Good. We can do it for you here. Do you know what you want to take?"

"Um... I want challenging classes. And I like the idea of learning an instrument, Violin maybe, and the Japanese class sounds good." Dr Green grinned at that.

"So as many AP classes as possible?"

"Yeah."

"OK, I will try to put you in the boys' classes. These will be the classes; they won't change so you won't have to wait for them in the post." It took Mr Blackbourne a couple of minutes before he had a list printed off, he wrote all the names by which class I had with each boy.

AP English - Trailer 10 - Ms. Johnson - Kota, Gabe and Luke

AP Geometry - Room 220 - Ms. Smith - Nathan and North

Violin - Music Room B - Mr. Blackbourne - None

Lunch

AP Biology - Room 107B - Mr. Gerald - Silas

Japanese - Room 212 - Dr. Green - Victor

Gym - Gymnasium - Mrs. French - Gabriel and Nathan

I had taken my sweater off while Mr. Blackbourne was printing my schedule off. Forgetting I had the marks on my body I stretched making my shirt ride up. There was a sharp intake of breath from all of the boys in the room. I quickly pulled my shirt down and put my sweater back on.

"Who did that?" Nathan asked. I looked to the floor. Kota pulled my face up with one of his fingers.

"Was it your mother?" he asked. I nodded. "What did she do?" I pulled my sleeves up to show them the marks.

"She tied me up and beat me." Dr Green stepped forward and took my wrists.

"They look quite deep. How long were you there for?"

"I don't know more than two hours."

"Can I have a look at your sides?" I nodded. He pulled the shirt up and breathed in through his teeth.

"It looks like there is no serious damage and they will be healed in a couple of days; it might take longer as you still have the drug in your system."

"Why?" Victor asked me.

"What?"

"Why did she do this to you?"

"She knew that I was over Nathan's house, she said that Marie saw me and told me she wouldn't let me whore around in her house, it didn't help that I was wearing just the shirt." I looked at the clock; I had been here for 20 minutes.

"I have to get back to my dad; he is probably wandering where I am."

"Can you come over later?" Kota asked.

"Um... I think I should stay at home for tonight, I'll try to come over tomorrow."

"OK, see you then." I left the room and made my way back to the car.
