Chapter 8
05:38, 6 March 2017"So, I have some good news." Elliot spoke after Maureen and I sat down again.
"And what is that?" Kathy asked, eyeing me. I knew that she thought I was pregnant or something, but whatever Elliot had to announce, I had no idea what it was.
"Marcus is relocating Eli, Liv, and myself to England." He smiled, and I started to chock on the water I had just drank. Everyone looked surprised, and I turned to look at him, anger in my eyes.
"Maybe you should have told me this before." I mumbled.
"I thought you would be happy..." Elliot trailed off, and I shook my head. I stood and left, thankful that I had the keys to our SUV.

I left Elliot at the restaurant, and I went back to our penthouse. Eli was eating dinner with our baby sitter, Lucy.
"Olivia?" Lucy questioned when I walked into the living room.
"Hey. Um, when you're done eating, you can head home." I replied, my voice low and shaky.
"Liv, what's wrong?" Eli questioned, sensing that something was off with me.
"Nothing, bud. I'm gonna take a bath." I sighed, wanting to release the tension that had fallen hard onto my shoulders.
During my bath, I called Casey, needing to tell her the WONDERFUL[not] news that had been dropped like a bomb on me.
"Hiya Liv!" Casey exclaimed, her excitement making me ill.
"Guess what." I breathed.
"You're pregnant?" She questioned and I groaned.
"No." I said coldly.
"What then?"She replied.
"Elliot is getting relocated to England." I replied, and she went silent.
"You just ruined my mood, Liv. When?" She questioned, and I swallowed hard.
"I don't know. I stormed out of the restaurant after he announced it in front of Maureen, Elijah, Kathy and Sean." I replied, and she groaned.
"Before or after the wedding?" She asked.
"I have no idea, Case. I'm fucking pissed though." I stated.
"I can tell. Wanna go get shit faced drunk?" She asked, and I laughed.
"No. I have to be here for when my fiance gets home, so I can yell at him. And Eli's babysitter is leaving." I replied.
"Alright. Well, call me when you find out? I want to be able to put together a night for our group." She replied, and I swallowed hard.
"Alright. Thanks for listening, Case." I spoke.
"Anytime Liv."

Elliot got home late, and I was drinking wine in the living room, just waiting for him to get home.
"Liv, you're still up." Elliot sighed, and I rolled my eyes.
"Yes, I am. We need to discuss this." I replied.
"Babe, tomorrow? Please?" He asked.
"You are taking Eli and myself away from our only home! We can't wait to discuss this!" I exclaimed, and Elliot walked over and sat down before hanging his head.
"I thought that if we moved, we could get away from everything that is bothering you. We can elope with our friends around us, then leave. We can start anew. Our own little family." He replied, leaving me speechless. He had actually been thinking!
"Elliot, I wish you would have told me once you found out. So I wouldn't have been so shocked." I mumbled, and he nodded slowly.
"I know, babe. I'm sorry." He replied, and I sat my cup down before moving closer to him.
"I want to get away, too. I just don't know how well we will fit in. I'm not the type of person who fits in that well." I replied, and he wrapped his arms around my body, pulling me back against the couch so we were cuddling.
"Baby, we can deal with it when it arises. Just, lets play it by year." He spoke, and I nodded slowly.
"Alright. I'll go." I breathed.

We got married two weeks after the announcement. We were surrounded by our friends, and Elliot's children. It was a small wedding, but it was just what we needed. Two weeks after that, we were on a plane to London. Elliot and I were both getting jobs that the London firm, and Eli was going to attend a public school, till we figured out another school that he could attend.
"Dad, will we ever go back?" Eli questioned, as he sat back down on the private jet that Marcus had supplied us.
"Yeah, bud. We have to go back for Maureen's wedding." Elliot replied.
"Sure." Eli growled, and I frowned.
"Eli, come here." I spoke, and he moved away from his father and to my side. I wrapped my arm around his shoulder.
"I'm not too sure about this either, because I haven't been away from Manhattan in forever. We can deal with it together, alright?" I replied, and he nodded.
"Thanks, Liv." He spoke, before laying his head on my shoulder. Elliot frowned as he looked at us, and I gave him a gentle smile. He needed to know that even though we love him, and want to be with him, he can't expect us to be completely fine with this idea. We were leaving everything we know behind, and everyone.
When we landed, Elliot grabbed my hand, and Eli walked next to us. It was colder in London than expected, and we had to keep our heads down due to the wind.
"Warmth!" Eli exclaimed as we climbed into the car that had been waiting for us.
"Dork." Elliot replied, and Eli ignored him.
"It does feel nice to be in a vehicle with heat." I replied, as we buckled up.
"Mr. Stabler, would you like to go to your flat?" The driver questioned, and Elliot nodded.
"Yes, please."

London was beautiful! Our eyes were glued to the buildings passing, and when we started towards the center of what appeared to be downtown.
"Elliot, have you been here before?" I asked, as I turned to look at him.
"Yup. I've lived here before. Shortly after I left the unit." He stated, as he wrapped his arm around my shoulders, pulling me close.
"Do you like it better than Manhattan?" I questioned, because if he did, I doubt we would be going back anytime soon.
"Never. Manhattan is the place I met you, and where our family is." He replied, and I smiled softly and kissed him gently.
"Good. I want to visit there as much as possible." I replied, and he nodded.
"I think we can manage that."
