Chapter 4

20:37, 24 February 2017

Olivia's POV

I laid on the bed in the examination room. It had been two months since I was found, and the Doctor wanted to do a normal check up, once a month, and this was the second one I had. It was still scary, thinking that even though Lewis is dead, he still caused me pain everyday, from the burns and scars, to the fears that he had given me a STD, but I was still negative for those.

"Alright, Ms. Benson! Are you ready?" My Doctor asked, and I swallowed hard before nodding. He examined me, and main radiated though my body when he accidentally touched a scar that ached even after 2 months.

"I'm sorry." he spoke, after hearing a whimper leave my mouth.

"It's fine. I'm used to it." I breathed, and he shook his head.

"You shouldn't have to be." He frowned, and continued to talk, but I just zoned out.

It must have been 10 minutes later before I realized that my name was being said.

"Hmm?" I breathed, and he sighed.

"Your examination didn't turn up with anything, so I'm going to draw some blood then call you later tonight with the results." He replied and I nodded. He changed gloves and drew the blood he needed before he left the room. I changed and then walked out.

"How did it go?" Elliot asked, and I swallowed hard.

"As good as it could go. Can we go home now?" I questioned, and he nodded slowly.

"Yeah, then once you are settled in, I have to go in to the office and get some work done." He replied, and I nodded slowly.

"Can I go with you?" I breathed, and he looked at me and smiled.

"Really want to? It'll be boring." He laughed.

"I don't want to be away from you." I whispered, and he nodded and smiled softly.

"Alrighty. You can come, but I don't know what you want to do there." He smiled.

I sat in Elliot's office, playing on my phone, but just pretty much staring at the screen, reading the texts from Brian, who was still trying to get back together with me, when I wanted nothing to do with him.

A little after 5, Fin showed up.

"Liv, are you ready to go?" he asked, and I looked to Elliot, and he stood.

"Um, I think maybe she should come stay with me." Elliot replied, and Fin looked between us.

"Why? Because you were here for her while she was broken?" Fin spat, and Elliot gripped tightly onto his desk.

"I was away on business! No one contacted me." Elliot hissed, and my body started to shake.

"Stop it!" I screamed, my voice cracking partway through. This was the loudest that I have been since I was taken.

"Liv, I didn't-" Fin started, but I shook my head.

"No! I don't cry or have flashbacks as often as before." I whimpered, and Elliot looked pleased with himself, so I turned to look at him.

"You weren't here because you left me in the first place. I am still pissed at you because of that, but I only want to be with you. I want to feel safe again. I want to feel something again." I breathed, and Elliot swallowed hard.

"I'll try to help you. I'm sorry I wasn't here for you, I'm sorry." Elliot breathed, as he walked over to me. He pulled me into his arms and held me close.

"I'll drop her things off. Liv, you are still welcome at my place if Elliot turns out to be a jackass." Fin replied, and I nodded.

"Thanks Fin."

Elliot took me back to his place, and he ordered pizza and we sat together on his large sectional.

"Liv, I really am sorry about not being here." He breathed, and I nodded slowly.

"It's fine. No one could save me from Lewis." I frowned. Elliot nodded and looked at me.

"Would you mind if I asked what happened?" he asked, and I felt tears sprung into my eyes, and I looked down at my hands.

"Which time?" I breathed, and he gently grabbed my hand and squeezed it.

"Liv, don't worry. We can discuss this at a later time. Why don't I go and set up the spare bedroom." He spoke, and I nodded slowly. He left, but I found myself following him. Elliot's penthouse was nice and big, but it scared me because I still always had a feeling that someone was watching me.

"Can I help?" I mumbled, and Elliot nodded and threw a pillow case at me.

"I always get angry when trying to put pillows into cases." he smiled, and I nodded slowly. I did what he said and then sat it on the bed and did the other pillows.

That night, I laid in the bed, tears on my cheeks as my body shook. I was in the middle of an intense panic attack, when Elliot came into check on me, since he had stayed up later than I had.

"Oh Liv." he breathed before quickly coming over to the bed. I sat up and held onto him tightly, while he held me to his body.

"I'm sorry!" I sobbed, and he shushed me quietly.

"Don't be. I'll sleep in here if you want." he replied and I nodded slowly.

"Please. I'm scared."

A few more weeks went by and my panic attacks got worse, and Elliot and the rest of the crew noticed. Everyone was taking shifts staying with me when Elliot couldn't, and when he wasn't around, the attacks were the worst.

"I can't breathe!" I sobbed, and Nick gently rubbed my back, in an attempt to calm me down.

"Liv, everything is okay. Just try to breathe." he replied, but I shook my head.

"I can't!" I sobbed again, while Nick got up. He called someone and then came back and helped me to my feet.

"Where are we going?" I mumbled tearfully.

"The hospital. You need to see a doctor." He replied, and I tried to fight him, but he was stronger than I was.

Nick's POV

Once we arrived at the hospital, a doctor sedated Liv. They put her on oxygen since she hadn't been breathing normally since the panic attack had started. She was silent and sleeping deeply, but I was just scared about what was going to happen when she woke up.

"Where is she?" Fin said, panicked.

"She's sedated and sleeping. Elliot is in with her." I replied, and Fin turned and punched the wall next to us. He held his hand as he swore.

"He was NEVER here for her, and now he's acting like a hero." Fin screamed, and I grabbed him by the shoulders and forced him to look at me.

"Fin, we all love and care for her. If Elliot helps her, then we need to let him help her." I replied, and he frowned deeply.

"She's like my sister, Nick. I hate to see her in so much pain." He cried, and I looked at him, surprised about the tears on his cheeks.

"Fin, she'll get better. We just need to give her time. Let her be with Elliot." I replied, and he nodded slowly.
