CHAPTER - 12
15:26, 2 September 2025The Next Day :-
Taehyung had decided they needed a long drive. Jungkook had secretly hoped for a quiet spot, somewhere he could stare at Tae for hours without interruption, but when Tae suggested the drive with that infuriatingly charming smile, how could he refuse?
Jungkook climbed into the passenger seat, his eyes immediately locking onto Tae. He couldn’t stop himself—admiring every curve of his jaw, every flash of that mischievous smile, every little detail that made Tae… him.
Taehyung - Will you stop it?
Tae said, his voice tight as his fingers gripped the steering wheel.
Jungkook - Stop what, Taehyungie?
Jungkook asked innocently, eyes sparkling.
Taehyung - Staring,
Tae muttered, looking away.
Jungkook - Why? Are you shy?
Taeyung - Shy, my ass!
Tae mumbled, the faintest heat creeping into his cheeks.
Jungkook pouted dramatically.
Jungkook - You must act like you love me for a whole week, or forget your so-called Gucci bag, my Mr. Cold-Hearted.
Tae snorted, rolling his eyes.
Taehyung - Whatever. Now tell me—are you planning to rob a bank, or what? Where will you get money to buy that bag?
Jungkook - None of your business
Jungkook said, casually staring out the window with the faintest smirk.
Taehyung - Asshole!
Tae murmured, secretly aware of how much his heart was racing.
And just like that, the day passed in a blur of giggles, teasing, subtle touches, and heartbeats that refused to slow down.
Thursday – The Flower Shop :-
The next day, they found themselves at a small flower shop. Tae wandered from bouquet to bouquet, inhaling the scent of roses, lilies, and wildflowers, completely absorbed. Jungkook, meanwhile, was mesmerized—not by the flowers, but by the Greek-god-like figure standing among them.
Jungkook's p.o.v - This was the best decision of my life,
Jungkook thought, staring at Tae.
Jungkook's p.o.v - Everything I’ve done, every risk… it’s all worth it just to be near him. I don’t care if this is just for the bag… I’d still—
Taehyung - Listen..
Tae’s voice cut through his thoughts.
Jungkook - Hmm?
Jungkook looked up, heart skipping a beat.
Taehyung - When did you fall for me?
Jungkook’s lips curved into the softest smile.
Jungkook - The second I saw you.
Tae froze, eyes widening in disbelief.
Taehyung - You… you mean you’ve loved me since—
Jungkook - Yes, petal.
Jungkook said, the new nickname making Tae’s stomach erupt into a thousand butterflies.
Taehyunh - So… why didn’t you ever move on from me?
Tae asked, still stunned.
Jungkook sighed, his gaze gentle yet unwavering.
Jungkook - Taehyungie… I love you. Every inch of my heart belongs to you. I would rather die than move on from you.
Tae felt something twist and clench deep in his chest, a feeling both overwhelming and intoxicating. Words failed him, and he simply let his eyes drift to the flowers, trying to process the intensity of Jungkook’s declaration.
Unbeknownst to them, someone was quietly taking pictures of the scene, capturing the intimacy, the raw emotion, and the closeness that neither of them noticed.
Over the Next Few Days..
Day by day, Tae felt the strange, tangled sensation in his stomach grow stronger. He found himself noticing things about Jungkook he never had before—the soft curve of his lips, the way his eyes sparkled when he smiled, the little quirks that made him unique.
The boy he had once called ugly was now… undeniably attractive. His heart thumped faster whenever Jungkook looked at him, teased him, or even just existed in the same space.
And the truth was terrifying and exhilarating all at once—he was beginning to enjoy it. He was beginning to like this nerd.
