Extra: Lie 2

Lan Qiren, who passed by and heard the newly-wedded couple's conversation, smiled as he leaned on the wall. He closed his eyes when the sunlight gently touched his cheek, just like that person's touch way back then. However – he opened his eyes and saw an empty space in front of him. For a second, he thought he saw an image of a carefree but proper youth clad in purple uniform turned to him and handsomely smiled. It's as if he can hear his voice, asking him –

"What, Qiren? Do I look handsome? Have you finally fallen for me?" Jiang Fengmian asked as he grinned at him.

Then, the other youth whose face always frowns and dressed in white robes, wearing a forehead ribbon designed by drifting clouds, his hair tied in a bun, his face flushed. "Wha – I haven't!" he answered, flustered. "And I won't! I will never fall for you - !" he added as he ran away.

Lan Qiren blinked, and the images were gone before him. He knew, that time, he lied. It was his first ever lie. Or second? Or maybe both? He lied, - which is one of the things their clan forbids, and successively, he lied. But he can't help it. Who can stop his heart from beating for that youth, who is clad in purple uniform, carefree but proper, and is handsome and always grinning. He knew, he has already fallen for the youth, yet he denied, which is his first lie.

His second lie, is still loving the youth all these time, even if he already said he will never fall for him. Since, how can he fall for him – again, when he already had fallen in love with him?

Lan Qiren silently left, just like what the youth had done after making him feel confused, getting into his mind, and making him waver – time and time again, so he continuously lied.
