Mornings aren't really Minho's cup of tea. It requires him to get up on his feet when his ass still wants to lay on the soft cushions of his bed. It makes him tired more than ever, like sleeping was something that makes people exhausted even though you weren't really doing anything other than closing your eyes and maybe dream dreams.

But today's different. The memories of last night and early dawn creeping into his mind, making him ecstatic. Warmth surrounded his fleeting heart, a smile tugging on his lips. He felt the rays of sunlight hitting his exposed skin. Even though his eyes were still closed, the light was still blinding. So he turned to his right, only to feel an empty space laying beside him.

Minho fluttered his eyes open, seeming a little disappointed that Chan wasn't there with him when he woke up. His smiled faltered a bit, but he was still feeling bolts of electricity running through his veins. He was still ecstatic.

He let out a yawn, stretching his body and feeling the comfort of Chan's bed. He just laid there for a while, not really fully taking in that Chan and him were now a thing.

His little rest was interrupted when he took a glance at the wall clock. "Shoot! It's already nine!" He closed his eyes, grunting, before letting himself get off the bed and drunkenly walked towards the bathroom. He did a little wash up, fixed his face and mouth, and took his exit.

Minho walked out of Chan's room. The place was relatively quiet, but he didn't really know if this was normal since this was his first time here. He roamed around, looking for Chan. What could he be doing right now? He walked past the kitchen, still no sign of Chan.

As if on cue, his stomach grambled. Minho was still holding himself from doing the things he usually did in his apartment, like opening the fridge and grabbing something to munch on. He saw a loaf of bread sitting on the counter, something that was covered on it's die and a jar of Nutella on it's other side.  "Perfect."

He was a guest here, and he was pretty hungry. Maybe they'd let him have food to eat. They wouldn't mind.

He was about to grab the jar of chocolate when he heard series of footsteps coming from down the hall. He thought it was Chan— well expected it to be him, or really hoped that it was Chan. He turned around and saw Hannah, standing at the door frame and smiling at Minho. She was fully dressed, like she was about to go somewhere.

"Oh, hey." He scratched the back of his neck, not minding the awkwardness building up inside. He didn't want to look rude in front of Chan's family, even though his feet were itching to walk away. He can still hold on to his hunger.

Hannah turned to look at him and his torso, realizing that he was still wearing Chan's jacket. But the girl just smiled knowingly, ignoring Minho's reaction.

"Hello, Minho-ssi. Did you have a good sleep? Christopher wasn't a bother, was he?" She made her way towards the fridge and took a pitcher, pouring water onto her glass, and drank. "Oh no. Chan was okay." More than okay. Excellent even— Minho, stop thinking shit! Minho saw the contents inside the fridge, and his stomach was growling loudly. So loud that Hannah turned to him and giggled. He was embarrassed, to say the least. But what can he do? He was hungry.

"I bet you're hungry. Here, Chris cooked it for you." She opened the covered dish, revealing a bowl of rice, an omelette, and bacon strips. His heart made a little backflip at the sight. Aww. He cooked this for me? How adorable. But where is Chan?

He was about to ask where Chan was when Hannah beat him to it. "He drove mom to her workplace, and I have to go back to my dorm now. So that'll leave you both here alone. I hope Chris wouldn't do something stupid." She murmured, like Chan was her younger brother and she has had enough of his childish antics.

"Thank you for this..." His was laugh breathy, smile too tight on his face. He was still feeling awkward with someone whom he got jealous of, only to know that they were relatives. Siblings even! Was I that blinded by jealousy not to notice their resemblance? Idiot.

"Sure. Just sit and eat, I'm sure Chris wouldn't let you starve. He told me multiple times that I should feed you before he left." She beamed, and Minho didn't see her as a dancer (they were contenders, she was with Erin), he didn't see her as someone who was already starting life in college. He saw her as someone who cared for her brother, someone sweet and kind.

Minho sat down on one of the stools and started eating, subtly looking at Hannah. The girl may or may not notice his side glances, but nevertheless, she didn't say anything about it.

"Oh right, I forgot to congratulate you last night. That was one hell of a performance." Small talks. She was making small talks. That's good, I think.

"Thank you. Congratulations, too. You guys did well." He smiled shortly, not really knowing what to say since Erin was her teammate. He's still feeling salty towards that bitch. But he did notice the girl Erin was with last night, and now that he though about it, she resembled Hannah's frame. Or maybe it was her.

And adding up to Minho's awkwardness, Hannah sat in front of him, glass in one hand, eyes drilling holes to Minho's soul. What did I do now?

"Thank you for last night." She suddenly said, voice really calm and soothing. Just like Chan's.

"For what?" He said, confusion drawing on his face. Hannah shrugged at him, smiling for some reason.

"For helping Chris. I really didn't know what to do with him since he kept asking for you. Good thing I saw you. And thank you for standing up for me in front of Sungyoon. I really don't get that guy."

Now Minho could feel the butterflies starting to swarm in his stomach, flying like crazy. He could feel his ears burning. But he was curious as to why Sungyoon was looking for Chan and why she acted like that towards Hannah. "Why did Sungyoon show up last night anyway? He was so serious to get to Chan. Wait—"He paused, realizing something while Hannah was looking at him expectantly. "Did Sungyoon do that to Chan?"

If he did, he'll never forgive that guy. The audacity to ask Minho for his number when he caused trouble for Chan. He thought that whoever did such thing to the blonde deserves to choke on his life.

Hannah's eyes went wide at the accusation, furiously waving her hands. "No! No, it's not like that. It's actually the opposite." Now Minho was just confused. "Then why did he act like that?"

"He was actually concerned about Chris. He was just there to teach him a lesson not to engage in fighting by himself, hence he was so mad. Chris told him he'd avoid combats and all and wouldn't fight if necessary. So he was mad when he learned that Chan fought with a gang."

"Wait. So he's a friend? Why would he act like that? And Chan fought with a gang? That stupid mongrel!" He wasn't angry at Chan, he was angry with those people who had nothing to do with their lives but pick on people with no companions. Why would everyone think that numbers were going to scare Chan off?

"He's a friend, actually. A guy named Hyunho with his gang gathered up and chased Chris for days and they caught up with him last night when they learned that he was going to watch the show. We don't know what their problem was, Chris refused to tell us last night and..."

Hannah was still talking but Minho's mind was stuck on that one name she mentioned. His world was spinning so fast, he felt dizzy. Hyunho? Kim Hyunho? It couldn't be. Right? There are a lot of Hyunhos in the world. Why would... Why would he attack...

Chan was hiding from Hyunho? Is that why he didn't show himself for two weeks? Minho knew that his ex had eyes inside their university. Oh my... So Chan was late that night because he met with Hyunho's gang?

The information dawned on him like ice, drowning him in coldness. He was stiff for a good moment, feeling his entirety eaten up by the growing guilt.  Chan had to endure that because of me. He saved me from Hyunho and now that ass wanted to get back at Chan. I'm such a... This is all my fault!

"Minho-ssi, are you alright? You look distant." Minho snapped his head to Hannah, feeling his heart covered with more guilt. Her forehead was creased and eyebrows meeting at the center. She looked really worried, and Minho momentarily thought that he didn't deserve the kindness she was showing him. It was his fault afterall.

"Y-yeah. I'm..." He gulped. "I'm fine. You were saying?" He blinked rapidly, drowning the thoughts that started to flood Minho's brain. He was shaking, letting go of his utensils and hid his hand where Hannah couldn't see it.

Hannah dismissed his question. "It doesn't look like you're fine. Are you really okay?" Minho just nodded and grinned, hoping that it wouldn't turn into a grimace. "I'm actually gonna leave in five. Can you wait for Chris to be here? I'm sure he's own his way home."

Once again, he nodded with a slight reassuring smile, not really paying attention to his surroundings. He was itching to ask who Hyunho was, but then again, he couldn't speak. He's afraid that if he does, his shaky voice would unmask his facade.

Now he was left all alone and even though Chan's cooking was superb, Minho had already lost his appetite. He stared down at his food, not really knowing what to do or how to react to the situation. Why didn't Chan tell him? He could've said it last night. He could've done something about it. Chan could've cursed at Minho because he was besieged because of him and the younger wouldn't even complain. Minho could've asked for millions of apologies in front of Chan, for causing him the aftermath of saving his ass and for judging Chan without even knowing what happened. He felt like a total dick.

Should I cry? But Minho didn't feel like crying. Should I just get out of here? That could be a good choice since he really can't handle the guilt building inside. I have a car after all. Or should I just ask him about it? Did he not trust me enough to not talk about serious matters like that? I could've at least make it up to him.

But then again, they already kissed last night and they've already established that they'll start dating. To Minho's side at least. He just couldn't survive being with Chan when he knows that Hyunho messed up with him. That stupid jerk! Maybe we should talk this out.

And as if on cue, a strong pair of arms were wrapped on his waist from his back. He couldn't bring himself to smile enthusiastically when he knew that Chan was hurt because of him. That was the last thing he wanted to do.

Chan placed his face on the crook of Minho's neck, inhaling the younger's scent. That drove Minho crazy for a moment, closing his eyes and just feeling Chan's warmth and velvety scent.

"How's your sleep?" Chan asked, face still implanted in Minho's neck. The younger didn't answer, just taking off Chan's arms and turning his body to face him. His legs were spread, making Chan stand in between. He forced a grin. Chan looked at his side. "And how was the food?"

"It'll do." He teased, amused at how Chan's lips came to a pout. He just wanted to kiss that pout away.

"You're so mean, you know that?" Minho couldn't help himself but embrace the older. It was comfortable. His arms wrapped around Chan's waist, ears pressing against his chest, and Chan's arms wrapped around his head, running a hand through his hair.

He was still aching to ask Chan what really happened last night and for the past days. But he was scared of the answer. More scared if Chan would choose to ignore the question, meaning he didn't have a hundred percent trust on Minho. And that put a crack on his beating heart.

They just stayed like that for a while. Chan was the one to break the hug off and Minho controlled himself from grabbing Chan's body once again. The older looked at him with a fond smile that could melt anyone's heart. Minho just wanted to keep him inside his pocket and hide him from the rest of the world, and at the same time he wanted to shout out to the world that Chan will soon be his.

But first, he needs to clarify things first.

"Min, you should finish eating first. I'm just gonna grab some pair of clothes for you to wear so you could take a bath." Chan then kissed Minho's forehead, making the younger smile in the process. He left and Minho tried so hard to finish the food Chan made for him.

After a moment, he quickly washed the dishes and went straight to Chan's bedroom. The older was on his phone and when he noticed Minho entering, Chan stared at him for a good amount of time, enough to make Minho feel confident and uncomfortable at the same time.

"Yeah, yeah. He's fine, Lix. Don't worry. I'm— of course, mate... Sure. Oh Hannah? She just left. Me? I'm gonna talk to Yoon when we go back, maybe later. That hag's pretty mad about it. Yeah. And I'm really fine, Lix. Just some... small uh... bruise. Yeah. I'm sure. Bye." The caller, who Minho supposed was Felix, hang up.

Chan sighed. "Why didn't you tell them you're with me? Felix and Hyunjin were being aggressive on the phone." A chuckle left his lips and Minho just leaned against the door, arms crossed on his chest. It's now or never.

"You didn't tell me Hyunho did that to you." He spat, gesturing to Chan's wounds. "Why didn't you tell me about it?" He really wasn't angry with the older, but he was upset with himself.

"It's not that important."

"What do you mean it's not that important? It is!" He was on the verge of shouting already, walking towards the center of the room to prove his point. I don't care, there's no one except us here anyway.

"Minho, it's really not that important. It's done." He was still composed and calm and Minho had to ball his fists at his reaction.

Now he was shouting. "What if he'll come back again for you? And that's still not important? What if he'll summon a larger number and knowing you, you'll still be arrogant as ever. Chan, this isn't a game. It's real life and you might get hurt! You don't know how Hyunho is and the things that go on in his mind!"

"Min, I'm fine and he won't come for me anymore. Sungyoon took care of it already and—"

"I'm just concerned, Bang! You're like that because of me and I can't have you getting hurt because of me. I don't... It's... Not fair. You were just protecting people and yourself and you tend to get picked on because of it. Can't you just stay out of trouble for once? This is making me guilty as hell and you just say it's fine? Don't you trust me enough to say something about this?" And now he was at the brink of tears. He just felt left out that Chan was struggling to protect himself alone.

Chan sighed. Not any hint of aggressiveness in his eyes. He went closer to Minho and took his hands on his own. "Min."

"You better stop right there. We're still arguing and—"

Chan kissed him on his right cheek and then grinned at Minho. "Min," He repeated.

"W-What's wrong with you? Chan this isn't—"

Chan kissed him again, but now it's on his left cheek. "Min,"

"Chan this isn't going to resolve anything." He stated, feeling butterflies in his stomach. He tried so hard to suppress a smile. Why am I so vulnerable?

Then again, Chan kissed him on his forehead. "Minho," he whispered, breath fanning against Minho's face. The younger just looked at him with questioning eyes, not really up to put a fight at the moment. Chan was using his charms to lure Minho out of his guilt and it was working.

"What?" He asked, voice barely above a whisper.

"I didn't say it because I know you'll act this way." He kissed Minho on the bridge of his nose.

"I didn't tell you because I was afraid you'd feel guilty about it. It was my choice to help you." He kissed Minho on the mouth this time, just a peck. The younger was just standing there, listening to everything Chan was saying.

"I didn't tell you, not because I don't trust you. Min, why would I ask for you if I didn't trust you? I didn't tell you because I'm fine, I'm alright, and things happen for a reason. If that didn't happen last night, then I would've become a coward for the rest of my life. I wouldn't have confessed to you. We wouldn't have kissed like that. And after all of those fights, from the first time you saw me until last night when you saw me with my wounds, it was all worth it." He smiled, which turned into a laugh when he saw Minho frowning, tears welling up in his eyes.

"Don't laugh at my feelings, you dork! How could I stay mad at you when you keep on coming to me like that? You're absolutely the worst and I still like you for that."

Chan grabbed the back of his head and connected their lips once again, but it wasn't just a peck this time. Minho placed his hands on Chan's broad shoulders and the older had his on the other's cheeks, taking control of the kiss.

They broke apart, panting. Minho's eyes were trained on Chan's orbs, the same goes for the other. "I should argue with you every time if you'd treat me like that after." Minho was out of breath, hiding his face between Chan's shoulder and neck.

Chan just flicked his ear lightly. "You little shit. You could just ask me to kiss you." And then they were both laughing. Minho retrieved his face from Chan's body and stared at the older once again. "Promise me you won't get yourself in trouble?"

"Uhh..."

"Bang Chan." He squinted his eyes at Chan.

"Alright. Unless necessary—"

"Chan!"

"What? I couldn't just let them beat me. You wouldn't want this pretty face to be full of wounds and cuts now would you?" Chan wiggled his brows at Minho and the younger just made a face.

"Remind me why I like you again." He just said, earning him a little pout which he kissed right away.

"You're an opportunist."

"I'm your opportunist. Don't complain."

Chan let him go and Minho still wanted to feel the warmth of his embrace. "Wait a sec, I have something for you." He reached out to his pocket and grabbed a small box with a cute, little ribbon on top.

"Isn't it too early for you to propose?" Minho teased, smiling triumphantly when he saw how Chan's pale cheeks went pink. Shit! I should learn how to make him blush often! He's so cute! But if Chan would do it, even though it was obvious he wouldn't, Minho wouldn't complain and will answer with a big YES.

"Shut up. It just happened that I saw this on the jewelry store I passed by earlier and it caught my attention. I remembered you and then just thought that 'will he like it?' and just bought it. It's not that expensive. It's simple yet sophisticated and it suits you and—"

Minho started laughing at how Chan was talking way too fast. It wasn't common to see him being embarrassed of what he's doing. "Channie. I get it. Although you pretty much think of me all the time when you go shopping." He said, still smiling, and the older just rolled his eyes.

Chan heaved a sigh. "Alright." He opened the box. Minho's eyes changed into hearts when he saw two silver rings inside. It was plain and simple, but he liked it. Chan took the other and slid it into his pinky finger. Then he took the other one and sat the box down, taking Minho's hand, and then sliding the ring into his finger.

"Aww. You shouldn't have." Minho said, fake wiping a fake tear. Chan just laughed at his shenanigans and proceeded to intertwine both their hands.

"Minho, would you, even though I know you would, do the honors of..."

Omg Chan's gonna be my boyfriend! My boyfriend! In your face, Hyunjin! In your face, Felix! In your faces!

"...dating someone like myself?" Suddenly the triumphant smile faltered a bit. "What? Can't you just ask me to be your boyfriend?"

Chan scratched the back of his neck. "I kinda want to take it slow, you know? Slowly build up our relationship and intimacy. I think it's too soon to—"

Minho cut him off. "It's never too soon, Chan. You know I'd gladly go out with you on a date. Even if you ask me out a million times, I'd never get tired. So yes, I would pretty much like to become your boyfriend. Thank you for asking because I was scared for a moment that I have to be the one to ask you out."

Chan just looked at him with a shocked expression, mouth hanging open. "Y-You..." Then Chan started laughing when Minho raised his brows at him. "You really make me laugh."

"What? Aren't you happy to be mine? For your info, a lot of people wanted me to be their boyfriend and yet I choose you. Hmp!" He crossed his arms and looked away, while Chan was still laughing so hard. Rude.

"Okay, I guess you don't want me to—" Now it was his turn to be interrupted when he felt Chan's lips on his own once again. I could get used to this. He immediately snaked his arms around the older's neck, Chan's hands already placed around his waist, pulling Minho's body tightly against his.

Chan's kisses were so addicting that Minho wouldn't mind spending his time just doing this with him. His lips moved with knowledge against Minho's and every time their tongues meet, he would feel his heart hitch up oh his throat.

This is really, really nice.

2 weeks later...

"I still can't believe Chan hyung didn't tell me about his involvement in fights. I'm his bestfriend yet he chose to tell Minho hyung. What a snake." Jisung said, still not over the fact that Chan was a fighter. He moved over to where Hyunjin was and continued watching the movie playing.

Minho cleared his throat to let them know that they were in the same room, but his efforts weren't recognized. They were currently in their apartment, agreeing to hang out after Chan revealed his secrets to the group.

"Yeah, how cool was that?" Seungmin said, his eyes sparkling at the thought of punching people on their faces.

Felix grunted. "That wasn't cool, he could get hurt badly." Minho nodded in agreement, even though no one was paying him attention.

Seungmin came to a protest. "But he didn't, which was why it's so cool." Minho looked at him disapprovingly.

"Well, I still can't believe Chan hyung actually had the balls to ask Minho hyung out." Changbin chimed in, playing with Felix's hair. Minho didn't say anything about that, smiling to himself. Oh if they only knew.

"Man, I still can't believe Chan hyung is dating Minho hyung out of all people. I mean, I thought he had better taste." Seungmin said, earning noises of agreement from the others.

This time, Minho had enough. "Bitch, I'm right here!" Minho said, grabbing a pillow and throwing it to Seungmin's face. "You're just jealous that you can't do anything with your feelings for— hmmp!" Seungmin quickly went over to cover Minho's mouth. "If he hears you, you're dead." He spoke menacingly in Minho's face.

"It's like being threatened by a puppy." He replied when the younger's hand was off of his mouth.

"Threatened by a puppy? What puppy?" Jeongin said, coming out from the kitchen and holding a tray of   utensild that both him and Chan prepared for them.

"Nothing." Seungmin said, getting up and helping Jeongin with the utensils while glaring at Minho. The older just shrugged, an evil smirk plastered on his face.

"Felix, get your ass out of the screen!" Jisung shouted, trying to watch the movie that's currently playing.

"Geez, excuse me if I had to walk in front of our TV, inside our apartment, Han." He said, rolling his eyes. Jisung kept quiet and focused in the movie once again, together with Woojin and Hyunjin.

"Can't we change the channel? This sucks." Minho whined and three heads turned to him with dark looks. "Sshhh."

"Ugh, fine." He stood up, walking towards the kitchen only to see Chan still cooking some side dish. He went and back hugged the other, hiding his face on the crook of Chan's neck. The older jumped in surprise, but nevertheless leaned into the touch.

Minho can't help but feel domestic sometimes. He could imagine Chan and him being partners in life, with their friends being their annoying children. He shuddered at the thought. No way was he having kids like them, a bunch of crackheads. Maybe we'd just adopt more cats. As if his cats weren't enough.

"Min, what's wrong?" Chan asked, turning the stove off and turned around to face Minho.

"Nothing. The others weren't giving me attention." He pouted.

"So you went to me because you want attention?" Chan quirked up his brows.

"Uhh... Yeah?" He smiled innocently, batting his eyelashes at his boyfriend. Ah. That felt so right.

"I don't know, Min. I'm still cooking." He smirked after seeing that Minho was about to whine like how he whined when Chan wouldn't give him his daily dose of hugs and kisses.

"But you just turned that thing off. Don't play with me, Channie." His pout deepened, if that was possible. Chan just snaked an arm around Minho's waist and pushed him lightly until Minho was leaning against the kitchen counter. His dimples were showing with the way he was smirking, and Minho loved the sight.

"What am I gonna do with you?" Chan sighed, leaning towards Minho and stopping when they could feel their breaths hitting each other's faces. The look they were giving each other made Minho very emotional, and he didn't know why. Right at that moment, he just wanted to kiss Chan.

And that he did.

Minho captured Chan's lips with his own, the other not stopping him. Instead, he moved his hand and caressed Minho's cheeks gently, the other still on his waist. The younger's hands were entangled with Chan's locks, pulling at the ends lightly when he felt the older biting at his lower lip, making him gasp.

"Oh my gosh! We're really hungry, now stop making out!" Changbin shouted, making both of them jump apart. They could hear footsteps coming towards the room and Woojin got there first.

"Let me see!"

"Kids, go back. You're still young to witness this scene." Woojin then turned around to a blushing Minho and a disheveled-haired Chan who wasn't even ashamed the slightest bit. "Guys. I thought I told you to get a room when your mouths get itchy?"

"This is a room." Chan retorted, making Minho smack his arm.

Woojin just massaged his temple. "Alright. Just get that food done quickly. We don't want a hungry Jisung in the house." He then walked away, Changbin following suit.

Minho and Chan broke into laughter. "I guess now's not the right time, Min." Chan winked at him before proceeding to take the food out of the pan. Minho suggested that he'd help because it was embarrassing to come out on his own and face his teasing friends.

All the while, Chan and Minho were both smiling. Since they started being in a relationship, everything went fine between them. More hugs, more cuddles, more kisses. And they didn't want to think about the future just yet. They just made themselves comfortable with what they have right now. Although it was hard to feel comfy when you have terrible friends who kept on throwing jokes here and there, they still managed. Thanks to Chan who would silence them once it was taken too far.

And for a short time, Minho learned so many things he didn't know about Chan yet. Same goes with the older. And that was fine. They'd spend their free times just talking about random things and getting intimate, and then go back to being stupid idiots. Chan was so different when it came to Minho. He was clingy when it was just the both of them. But he's acting tough when the others are around. And Minho could feel his heart falling for the other deeper with each passing day.
