Ni-ki's pov

......why'd she kick me out like that.

I walked over to my car slightly confused but not surprised...I mean I literally broke into her house—basically. I'm worried about her, I hope she's OK.

My phone scared my out of my thoughts when I got a call from Jay

"Riki?"  -Jay

"Yes Jay what's up?" I said. There was a whole load of silence from the other end.

"Jay? Are you still there?" I'm now worried. Why is this day so full of unfinished pieces? What the fuck is going on?

"Umm...yea I'm still here. Did you talk to hyeon ju by any chance? I saw the media posted pics of both of you at her house?"  - Jay

"Well....we didn't really talk but she was a bit off after the reporters came. Why do you ask, is something wrong?"  He's getting me worried now and I don't know what to think or expect.

"I think you need to see this bro"  - Jay

I heard my phone buzz with the messages of articles that Jay sent me. It was about Hyeonie's life back then, her mother's accident and her life before....but there's more.

"Jay...what's this about?" I asked him not necessarily understanding why he's telling me this.

"Her dad's getting into scandals after scandals and that's why you're both being put into this arranged marriage but....Ni-ki there's more and I don't know who knows but I won't tell you right now."  -Jay

He just hung up on me....I stared at my phone in shock, what more is there for me to know? Is that why she was acting off earlier. Is there something her family is hiding about my family.

THREE MONTHS LATER

I can't believe I have to go back to school....I miss the break already. Ugh

I'm confused, Hyeonie hasn't tried to talk to me since the day at her house— and I get the feeling that she hiding something from me. She's ignoring me, acting out of pocket—even when I'm at her house almost every day because of Sunoo.

On top of that, I'm getting married to her once the year ends and we really aren't far from that to be very honest.

I hope I can see her at school and catch up a bit....maybe tease her while I'm at it. I don't know, she's just so addictive. I'd stare at her shameless when she passed us in the living room of their house. I just need her to look at me back.

There she is, Kim hyeon ju. The prettiest and smartest girl I've met...this year. I ran up to her and slung my arm around her shoulders.

"Miss me?"

Hyeon ju's pov

Oh no, here he comes.

"Miss me?"  He said whispering I'm my ear. I'm so fucking tired today I can't even keep up with this kid.

"No ni-ki, move your big ass arm." I said to him a bit colder than I intended for it to come out as, but who cares about his feelings bro.

He pouted, that's the cutest thing I've seen today. Ugh....what the hell are you doing to me.

**time skip**

It was finally lunch time. This day is moving awfully slow, I cannot even think straight. I decided to walk to the cafeteria.

"Hyeon!! Hyeonie wait up!!!"  I turned around not wanting to be disturbed only to see my best friend Hyeri.

"Oh my gosh, why do you walk so fast"  She did breathing like a fat pig after walking a mile.

"What's up, I thought we'd meet at the end of the day?" 

"Well nah, this tea cannot wait. I need to hear everything that's been going on."  -Hyeri

"Right now?" I asked her raising an eyebrow at her.

"Yes yes, right now. Let's go."  -Hyeri

She grabbed my hand heading to a table at the cafeteria and of course Ni-ki is at the table yapping with my brother.

We got to our regular table at lunch and I met my other two friends Iroha and Arin. I gave them all the tea....and by all I mean all.

"So you are telling me, you're getting married to Ni-ki because of some business deal you know nothing about —and he was already teasing you and is at your house 24/7? Girl—i know there's more to this"  -Iroha

"Basically yes."  I didn't intend for it to be so vague but what more is there to say— that I want to kiss him swollen even though we've  known each other for four months now.

Seeing him at my house this entire holiday we had was not easy. He'd be eyeing me up in someway. I really can't shake the fact that we've had some...moments.

Judging from their reactions, they looked like they wanted to punch me in the gut and disown me. I wouldn't let that happen....they know too much.

The chatter went on without me involving myself much. I had a lot to think about, Ni-ki staring at me from across the table was not helping.
