24: Library

"Sorry, I'm late" Jungkook entered the room.

"Ugh! I thought it was him!" I said while face-palming my face. "Oh, hi Jeon!" I said as he sat beside me.

"Hi! Where's hyung?" He asked me.

"I don't know" I replied.

He just nodded his head.

"Class, i'm going to give you a ta-"

"Task again?!" I whined.

"Ms. Jin?" Mrs. Choi looked at me again.

"No, I mean ask again. Jungkook was asking me random things" I rubbed the back of my neck. "And he's annoying" I added.

"I'm going to give you a task, you all have to enter the creepiest part of this school which is our old library" Mrs. Choi said.

We all whined, except me. No one dared to enter that place. Some people said that there was a girl who hanged herself there because she was tired of studying and researching for her stupid thesis which was really depressing. They said that there were so many white ladies there who always scare students who dared to enter that place.

"The person who entered and successfully came back strong and brave is exempted to his/her thesis" she added.

"Oh come on, i'm not afraid you know" I said while laughing.

"Aren't you afraid. We haven't entered that place, we haven't seen students who are running scared after escaping that place. We are still freshmens here Haesoo" Xiaoyou said.

"White Ladies, creepy things? So stupid, as if i'm really scared. They are nothing but a non-existing things here in this world" I said while flipping my hair.

"Just make sure you're not scared after escaping there huh?" Jungkook said.

"Ofcourse!" I proudly said.

"So, you're doing it today after lunch. Get ready and eat now. Class dismissed" she bid goodbye to us.

"Why there?" Other student whined.

"For the sake of thesis" another one said.

"Kaja, i'm already hungry" Jungkook held my wrist.

"Someone's taking advantage while Jimin is gone" Xiaoyou said.

I laughed as we walked together to the canteen.

"This is very creepy" Xiaoyou said while clinging onto my arm.

Another student ran out from the building while shouting. Everyone's scared not attempting to enter.

"Who's next?" Mr. Han said.

I proudly entered the door.

"Wow, Brave Jin Haesoo is entering!" Mr. Lee said.

My classmates and my seniors got shocked and they all cheered for me which made me to be brave more.

I slowly entered the dark hallway.

"Look for the purple ribbon that is stucked inside a book" I remembered what Mrs. Choi said.

The room is really creepy and dark. There was a sound of a crow and a continous falling of random books in every hallway of a library.

"Come on yah! I'm not afraid" I said as I playfully fall random books everywhere while laughing. "Geez, i'm really crazy"

I opened the flashlight of my phone and played TT of TWICE.

I sang along to the song as I walk towards the darkest hallway. Nothing's really creepy here. There were hanging fake bats, spider webs and skulls with blood.

"Ew, obviously this is really man-made" I said as I roll my eyes. "Oh yes, I finally saw that purple ribbon" I jumped in happiness.

I quickly found a ladder to reach the book which is placed in the highest part of the library.

"So dusty" I said as I placed the ladder in the book shelf. I kicked the ladder to make sure it's not dangerous to climb up.

I started to climb up to the highest part to reach the book. "Thesis? No more" I sarcastically laughed.

I slowly went down.

I danced in happiness, atleast I won't suffer anymore. The creepy crawling sound was audible for me to hear. It's getting near that sent shivers down my spine.

"I'm not even afraid" I said forcing myself to be strong.

Books started to block my way. I can't see the hallway to go back anymore.

I started to walk and remove those books on my way. But the books really blocked it as I walk more and more.

"You have to be here after 10 minutes" those words of Mr. Han reminded me the time I spent here. I looked at my phone to see the time.

I came here 3:07 pm and it's already 3:14, I already spent 7 minutes and there are 3 minutes remaining. I have to go back.

I took one more step, some books fell again. I took again, some fell again. I took a glance at the book. I noticed a long string connected to the shelf in the other side causing the other books to fell.

"Planned. Great idea. So stupid idea" I smirked and cutted the string with my teeth. I stepped, no books fell.

I started to remove the books and when I'm done a man was standing in the middle of the hallway causing me to startle.

"Kamjagiya!" I said while holding onto my heart. (Kamjagiya means you scared me)

I ignored the man, I started to walk. I took a glance at my phone.

"2 minutes remaining" I mumbled. My eyes went back to the place where the man is, but he's not there anymore. I just didn't care and started to run but a hand gripped my wrist.

I shouted.

"Yah!" He said.

"Why are you here?" I said as he hugged me.

"One of those stupid students who keeps on scaring mutuals" he said.

"So stupid, where the hell did you go?!" I asked. "I was finding you the whole damn day!" I added.

"Do you miss me?" He asked as he rest his chin above my head.

"I'm not used to it. Seeing you not here by my side" I said while hugging him back.

"Poor Haesoo" he hugged tighter.

"Park Jimin! Don't do that again! It's the second time and it will be your last time doing it okay?" I rolled my eyes.

"I was just asked by our department's president. I'm sorry" he kissed my forehead which made me to blush.

"Oh my gosh! The time!" I realized that there were only 43 seconds to escape. I ran while holding onto his arm.

We finally escaped and got out of that building.

"Woahhhhhhhh!" There were loud cheers and everyone got shocked because I escaped strong. They all clapped at me as I bow my head to them. I waved the purple ribbon upward as I dance in happiness.

"Haesoo? How did you survived that creepy place?" Kang Taehyun asked me.

"That's not scary much. Those props are not really creepy. I saw some seniors there who keeps on falling books everywere" I said then some of our seniors came out as well.

"How did you know that?!" Choi Yeonjun, our senior asked in 'aww'

"You're all obvious. Sunbae, next time you should all act as good as Lee Jongsuk and Lee Minho" I laughed.

They all hang their head low as I laughed at them. Am I that bad?

"I envy you" Shin Yuna, my beautiful classmate pouted.

"Just don't be afraid. Those thingies are not true" I smiled to her.

"And, why are you holding Park Jimin's hand?" Xiaoyou asked. "And why are you with him?"

As soon as I realized, I removed ny hand from his.

"I caught him" I replied. "And them" I pointed to my other seniors.

"Wow, you can be a detective Ms. Jin, and because of that; you're excempted and we will all have our drinks to celebrate the success of Jin Haesoo from escaping the library!" Mrs. Choi said making the whole students to jump up in happiness.

"Let's go!" Mr. Han raised his fist upward like a teenager who want to loose. They laughed at him.

"Do you drink?" Jimin asked me with worries on his eyes.
