Athy 's p. O. V.

"princess..." I turned to see cabel staring at me with a worried face

" yeah what is it..?" I asked and he smiled

"it's just..are you OK..? Cause lucas definitely isn't.. I am worried about you too.." he said looking sad..

"me..? I don't know.. What's wrong with lucas..?" I asked and he was silent.

It's been two days since our fight at the corridor .. We both didn't seen exah other and now cabel is here.. I still feel hurt thinking about what he said... I don't wanna talk about him..

"princess.." I came out of my thoughts and looked up at him

" I don't know what's going on between you two... But he wasn't in his right mind for some days.. He even got hurt ... "he said..

" I don't want to talk about him cabel.. If that's why you are here... Sorry please go back " I said and he sighed

" can't you please talk this out with him..it's difficult for us.. He have an important work coming.. Many people lives are at stake.. If he continues to be like this.. it will be hard.. I also don't want you two being sad like this.. Just talk to him first... You know him more than anyone else.. He just cooped inside his room and never left it.. Yesterday he was wasted.. He emptied ten full bottles of alcohol.. Please princess.. "he begged..

If that jerk feels likes that.. I can't do anything.. He is the one who is not willing to solve this... I went back to my room but what cabel said kept bugging me...

" athy... You should just talk to him.. If he isn't willing to listen.. Give him a piece of your mind.. I got enough of your fight" lily said..

"why should I..? He was the one who hurt me..I.. I didn't do anything wrong.. He isn't willing to listen" I said and is silent for a while..

"may be he is scared athy.." lily said

"scared..?" I asked confused.

"hmm.. Since you told me about lucas's childhood. It's highly possible he is scared.. He saw you with another guy and you two are acting like couples.. But he doesn't know it's acting so he might be scared of that to be real.. He is just avoiding you in fear.. "

she said... I stared at the sky in daze... The moon always remind me of that jerk.. Is he really just scared..? Yeah.. He thought I went on a date with him.. Haah.. This won't do.. I will give it a last try..

I walked to his mansion and cabel looked more happier than anyone else... The second floor of this mansion is lucas 's.. In the first floor his assistants lives. It's dark here.. So dark..

P. O. V.. Ends

" what are you doing here..?" she heard his voice but it's too dark to see him.. She guessed he might be in the rooftop and walked upstairs and she was right..

" I asked you what are you doing here..?" he asked turning back... His face still pissed..

" why are you so mad at me.? I am the one who should be mad.. You are the one who isn't willing to hear me out and you even assumed I went on a date..?!! How can you say that..?! "

she shouted at him pissed.. Hearing his pissed tone and his face which is always soft towards her looking pissed at her..it's all are new to her and she can't get used to it.. She let out her frustrations and anger and he stayed silent... He stared at her with a blank face.. Even though there is no expression.. She saw it for a moment..it's fear in those Ruby eyes... She got rewinded of lily's words and let out a deep sigh letting All Her anger and frustrations out..

" I thought... I have atleast one person in this world who know everything about me.. But I was wrong. I hurts to know you thought I went on a date with someone who is a reason for my death and the one who killed you..." she said looking down.. Her voice sounding painful.. The air caressed thier skin make it stand from it's chillness.. It's cold and quiet..she didn't looked into his eyes and continues to talk..

" You must be thinking I am shameless or else you won't think like that...I Didn't.. I just Accompanied him to his mission and pretended like couple so that he can complete his mission.. And he didn't kissed me for real.. He was just pretending to.. Jennete was supposed to go but she got sick..It's an order from the emperor so I can't refuse... That's all. The first thing I did after that mission was coming to you, but you dragged it till now and even imagined something so awful.. " She said.

He stared at her his eyes wided in shock... His hand trembling..

'she.. She is.. Crying.... I made her cry...' he thought as he clenched his chest cause it feels like thousand needles are stabbed in his heart..

'I won't cry unless I feel extremely emotional..' her words echoed in his ears..

"I won't annoy you anymore... So I will leave"

she said which give his heart the final blow.. She turned to walk back and a pair of hands pulled her behind and he back hugged her.. His grip around her waist tightened as she tried to break free.. He buried his face on her neck

" sorry.. I am Really sorry sia...i am really really sorry.. Please don't cry .." he begged her.. his voice low, desperate and painful... She stood there silently.. His back hug making her feel warm..

" lucas.." she mumbled breaking free from the hug and turned towards him ... He stared at her his heart thumping loud.. His heart is begging to her silently.. Not to cut ties with him...but to his surprise.. She started crying..

" hic.. I am also sorry... I should have informed you and forced you to listen when you didn't .. I am sorry I won't do that again without telling you.. No.. No.. I will never do that again.. so.... Can't you talk with me..? it's hurt so much to be like this.. Hic.."

she said crying.. His heart felt heavy as he wiped her tears cupping her facegently and hugged her tight as she cried in his arms..

" I am sorry.. I am so sorry I hurt you.. Everything I told you.. I don't mean them.. They just came out in anger.. They are just my fears.. I got scared of what if you leave me..

When I saw him acting lovely to you.. And hold your hand.. it hurts so much.. It pisses Me off the roof whenever I think about it and I have this fervent urge to his kill him in a most cruel way possible when I thought he kissed you ... I get furious and annoyed..and.... "his voice slowly trailed off..

" I am scared of what if you won't be with me anymore..? I was so scared to hear you out, That's why I didn't, I am really sorry... Please forgive me...sia.." he said hugging her tight...they stayed like that for a while.. Feeling each other's warmth.. Feeling alive... Feeling everything coming back to its place.. She arted from the hug and stared at him smiling at her..

Athy's. P. O. V.

My heart found back it's lost pace... I feel happy... It's this smile which makes the difference... I realized how special it feels to be the only one receiving his gentle side... These few days.. I felt how it would have been if lucas didn't become close to me.. If we were strangers.. What would I have been doing right now..? I would have been all alone right..? With No one to explain my in depth feelings.. With No one to share comfort me when I break down thinking down about the past.. I don't know...

His ruby eyes looked so beautiful in the moonlight.. His black locks fluttering in the wind is on pace with my heart... I mean.. Which girl 's heart would stay calm being near a guy this attractive..

But.. It feels different today... His cold gaze.. Turning Soft Only to me.. I heard my friends saying his cold gaze is attractive... They have no idea how beautiful his warm gaze is .. How much it makes my heart flutter.

"sia... what are you thinking ..?" he asked tilting his head..

"cold.." I mumbled..

"huh..?" he said and I looked up at him and he is looking away..

" how many times I told you not to roam around dressed like this... That's why you are cold.."

he said looking away, I looked down and pfft..is he acting like this because my dress is a bit revealing..?! I tried hard not to laugh at how cute he looks.. I looked around and..

" lucas.. Look.. It's fireflies..!!!"i said as I spotted on flying over my head..

" it's flying and glowing.. It would be good to fly freely like this right..? " I asked and suddenly I felt light...

" woah..!!! What.. What are you doing..? " I asked as I hugged his neck tight... This jerk is flying above holding me in his hands..

" you said you wanted to fly... Let's fly.. "he said letting me down.. I grabbed his neck tight in reflex and he chuckled

" relax.. You are with me.. the great lucas.. "he said with a proud smirk..I looked down and it's like I am walking in the air..

" wow..!!! It feels so nice!! "I said smiling and he smiled back...

" let's go "he said holding my hand and flew across the palace

" everyone looks so tiny..!!! The moon also looks so bright..!! " I said looking around..

" lucas.. Would you fly often.? "I asked and he nodded a yes

" not often.. But sometimes.. When I feel bored or felt like it.. "he said

" wow.. That's so cool.. I also want to try this.. Flying feels so good..!!"i said.

" just say one word and I will take you for a ride.. " he said

" you are so useful sometimes.. "I said patting his back and he frowned.

" what do you mean useful..?!! Am I your pet or what..?!! ". He said sulking..

We Flew around.. Bickering and laughing...

" lucas.. If we fight in the future.. We should sort it out almost immediately OK..? Don't you dare run away.. And I won't do it also.. " I said and he nodded a yes

" promise..? "I asked helding my pinkie out and he linked his with mine smiling..

" of course.. Even if we fight.. Where will I go in the end other than you..? I do think I should be more bold in the future.. " he said scratching his nape smiling sheepishly..
