Chapter 15. The Chunnin Exam: 3

We met up at arena 44 like the proctor told us to. Inside the gates was a dark forest. My guess: That's where the second test is taking place. Lovely.

"This is creepy..." Naruto muttered.

"You'll soon find out why it's called the forest of death." The lady proctor said out of knowhere, laughing evilly.

What's up with jonin's and laughing evilly. (Reference to when Kakashi told team 7 that they'd be sent back to the academy if they didn't pass the survival chance that had a 66% passing  rate)

"You think that scares me? That's nothing, i'm not afraid!!" Naruto, the baka yells.

The jonin smiles. This can't be good...

"Yeah, you're spirited." She says before whipping out a kunai knife and aiming for Naruto's face.

I take out my kunai in a mere third of a second and throw it, intercepting the jonin's knife.

I smirked. "Sorry, only my teammates and I are allowed to hurl weapons at Naruto."

The jonin looked at me interestingly. "So you're Hatake, Kakashi's kid."

"Neice." I corrected.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Whate-"

A grass ninja had come up behind Anko with her knife in his snake-like tongue.

"You know, don't sneak up on me...Unless you want to die." Anko threatened.

"You cut my precious hair.."

"Sorry about that." 

I got a bad feeling from the grass ninja. I recognize him from somewhere...

 "Now, before we start the second test, there's something I have to pass out. They're agreement forms. There WILL be deaths in this, and if you don't sign these then those deaths will be my responsibility. hehehee...Let me explain the test first then you can sign these and check in at the booths behind me. You will attempt the ultimate survival. "

She explained the layout of the arena.

"You will all compete in a no rules scroll battle using your varieties of weapons and jutsu."

Yes!!! Can't wait, no rules. that's awesome, I'm going to kick some ass!!!

"You will fight over two scrolls, the heaven and the earth scroll. You need both to make it to the tower in 5 days and pass the second exam. 

There are 78 people, so thirteen teams will get the heaven scroll and thirteen will get the earth scroll. Which means at least half of you will be eliminated. Not to mention the man eating bests and poisonous insects in the forest..The harshness of this course.

You are on your own. The forest is full of food, you have to survive with what you have.

If you lose a teammate, or have a teammate killed, then you are elimintated from the exams. There is no quitting in the middle of the exam and last, no one opens the scrolls until you make it to the tower."

"What happens if you do?" Naruto asked.

Anko smirks. "Well, that'll be a surprise for anyone who decides to break the rules.

A chunnin will be asked to handle classified information. This tests whether you are trustworty or not..

Exchange the agreement papers for your scroll. Then choose a gate so we can begin the second test of the chunnin exams.

And a final word of advice? Don't die."

We turned in our forms and got our scrolls. 

I smiled at my teammates as we were standing at out gate. 

"Don't worry guys, we totally got this. We have Sasuke, Naruto and myself. And if anything happens, we have Sakura to take care of us. Sakura, stay low when it comes to fights, we'll need you if anything bad happens. You're know a bit of medical jutsu, right?" 

She nodded, feeling a bit less useless. Good.

"The second test of the chunin exams.. Now begins!" Anko yells so everyone can hear. The gate to the forest of death opens.
