Secrets
10:20, 26 July 2014The light streaming through the door to the balcony woke you up the next morning. You turned over and noticed a small piece of paper placed on the pillow beside you. You smiled and reached over and opened the note, a small silver chain falling on the sheets. You picked it up and read the paper.
"Y/N,
I had a wonderful time with you last night. I'm so glad you enjoyed the macaroni and cheese and french fries as much as I did! No one else here seems to like it. The reason I'm writing you this now is because I will be away for the next 2 days. I shall be back tomorrow night at 6 pm. I've let Luke and Alessa know and they've offered to show you around and help you settle in here. I'm sorry for everything.
Michael
By the way, the necklace is from Alessa. She said it's for protection and that "it's prettier than anything I could've ever given you."
You giggled and laced the chain through your fingers. The pendant hanging on it was a powder blue crystal with a white tip. You clasped it around your neck and it hung right below your collarbone. It was beautiful and light. You got out of the sheets and opened the bag of clothing Michael had bought for you. You pulled out a long sleeved black lace shirt and of course a pair of skinny jeans. You ran your fingers over the lace and admired the beauty of it. For a dark angel, he had exquisite taste in clothes. The lace showed off your shoulders and your upper back and part of your upper chest. It was elegant and sexy.
After you twisted your hair into a chignon, a knock on the door made you jump. You opened it and Luke was smiling at you. "W-Wow Y/N. You look beautiful. Black looks great on you." He stuttered and you blushed. "Thank you Luke. Michael thought so too apparently." You said looking down at yourself. "Well it suits you." Luke grinned and held out an arm for you. "May I escort you to breakfast?" He said with a smirk. You chuckled and linked your arm with his. "You certainly may."
The kitchen and dining room looked very different from the night before. It didn't have that dark romance feel to it. It was now more open and friendly. Alessa came out of the kitchen and smiled at you and Luke. "I see you've come with the better knucklehead this time!" She joked. Luke chuckled and nodded to her. "Nice to see you too Less." She winked and showed you to a table with a silver tablecloth this time. Luke pulled out a chair for you and you thanked him as you sat. He took the chair opposite you and adjusted his wings to the chair that was much smaller than him. You tried not to laugh but he looked ridiculous. "Crap. Hold on." He said mostly to himself and leaned to the left. Apparently he was sitting on one of his wings and it snapped up and whacked him in the face. You held your breath and he snorted. "That wasn't supposed to happen." He giggled and you burst out laughing. He was a little flustered, but he found it hilarious. "A-Are you Ok?" You asked catching your breath. He nodded and took a deep breath. "Fun shenanigans at 9 o'clock in the morning!" He chuckled. Alessa came back with breakfast menus and looked from you to Luke. "Why are you both red?"
Luke had ordered an omelet with the works, bacon, and orange juice. You had the raspberry french toast and sausage with a strawberry smoothie. Correction, the best raspberry french toast and sausage with a strawberry smoothie. Luke offered you a bite of his omelet and it was light and fluffy. Amazing. "So is Michael treating you like he should?" He asked and you choked on your smoothie. "I'm sorry?" He chuckled and set down his fork. "I mean is he being nice to you? Making sure you're comfortable?" He clarified. You paused and thought about it. "Uh I guess so. Kinda." He nodded and sipped his juice. "He did buy me new clothes. And he's letting me stay in his room. So yeah he's doing pretty well." You added and Luke set down his glass. "Good. Sometimes Michael has trouble with his manners. As you probably already know. But I'm glad he isn't being a total ass." You scoffed. "I never said he wasn't an ass!" You giggled and Luke grinned at you. "Touché." You excused yourself to the restroom and Luke promised he wouldn't eat the rest of your french toast.

Luke
I watched her leave and brought my glass back up to my lips. When I set it back down, I noticed a few black drops around the edge. Oh no. Not now. I wiped my mouth and more of the black fluid showed up on the cloth. That's when I started coughing. The other darkies around me looked at me in confusion and I panicked. I reached into my pocket with a shaky hand and pulled out a vial of the Avdcal Serum (Enochian for gold serum). I felt the cold sweat start and my vision was getting blurry. Someone had gotten Alessa's attention and pointed towards me. Her eyes widened and she ran to me and took the vial out of my hand.
"Luke hold out your arm. C'mon Luke don't black out on me now!" She said sternly. I slowly handed her my arm and closed my eyes. I felt her draw the symbols on my arm with her finger. The avdcal was cool with a tingly sensation. After a few seconds, my vision started to clear and I stopped coughing. "No one talks about this!!!" Alessa threatened and everyone went back to their meals with frightened looks on their faces. She shoved the vial back in my pocket and dipped a cloth in water and dabbed my forehead. I breathed deeply and came to. I sat up straight and blinked a few times, getting rid of the blurriness. Alessa looked at me with a worried expression. "I'm Ok. Thank you." My voice came out rougher than I expected. "Geez Luke. I almost had a heart attack. You should be glad Y/N didn't see that. It would've scared the poor girl to death." She said sighing. "I know." I said quietly. She felt my forehead with the back of her hand. "Luke, is it getting worse?" She asked. The question that she already knew the answer to. Her eyes widened and she quickly grabbed the bloody cloths and wiped my face one more time. "Y/N's coming back. Don't you dare tell her about this." She hissed and left.

Y/N
You saw Alessa talking to Luke before she grabbed a few napkins and ran off. You got back to the table and smiled at him. "Sorry it took so long. I got lost in all these damn hallways." You muttered. Luke chuckled and coughed lightly. His eyes flashed silver for a moment. You raised your eyebrows and sat down. "Ate you Ok?" He nodded and wiped his mouth with his sleeve. "Mmhmm. Just choking on air." You were suspicious but let it go. Finishing your food, you noticed a gold symbol on his wrist that was slowly fading, and what looked like a black sticky substance on his sleeve.
You thanked Alessa for the second amazing meal she's made you and she hugged you. "It's my pleasure hon. If any of those boys give you grief, you know where to find me!" She offered and patted your shoulder. You smiled. You liked Alessa. Luke embraced her and kissed her cheek and thanked her for dealing with him. She squeezed him and whispered something in his ear. He nodded and pulled away, taking your arm again as you left the dining room. "What was that all about?" You asked. He shrugged and gave you a small smile. "Nothing. It's just darkie stuff." He looked tired so you wouldn't hound him with questions today.
The rest of the day you spent with Luke showing you all of the 'important' parts of the castle, telling you random facts about each room you visited. Apparently the weapons room was built in 1672 by a dark angel named Serbius. And the library was the biggest room in the whole castle and contained every single book in every world. He led you to an all white room with a grand piano. It was by far your favorite room, besides the library. Luke smiled and sat at the piano and waved you over. "You play piano? I didn't know dark angels wanted to do that kind of stuff." You said sitting next to him. He scoffed and looked at you. "Are you kidding me? Music is my favorite thing in the world. And believe it or not, but it's Michael's too. He's talented." He began playing the piano and humming a lovely melody. His voice was like silk and it soothed you. He started singing and your jaw dropped.
"I remember the day you told me you were leaving, I remember the makeup running down your face, and the dreams you left behind you didn't need them like every single wish we ever made."
He continued and you listened to all the lyrics and the emotion he put into it. When he finished, you were completely speechless. "That was beautiful." He blushed and closed the cover of the piano. "Thanks. Michael wrote it." (Just for the fanfic. Mike didn't actually write it xD shush) You blinked. "Really?" He nodded and looked at the clock on the wall. "Well I should probably get back. I promised Calum I'd look at his arm again tonight. Can I walk you back to your room?" He asked. You glanced at the clock and nodded. 10:30 pm.
"Thank you for for showing me around the castle today. I really enjoyed it." You said kissing Luke's cheek. He blushed for about the eleventh time today and he nodded. "It was my pleasure. Maybe we can do this again sometime?" You agreed and said goodnight to the burgundy angel.
The black angel cackled and drove the dagger into the chest of the white angel and you screamed out. The white angel locked eyes with you and fell to the ground. You turned towards the black angel and he smirked at you. "I always win Y/N. I wish you figured that out before now." Tears rolled down your cheeks and you heard the white angel whisper your name. You looked down at him and he reached for your hand. "Close your eyes Y/N. It'll be over quickly." You listened and closed your eyes and felt the knife enter your body. Before it went black, your last thought was about the white angel's green eyes.
