The Color Green

08:41, 16 July 2014

Waking up with a start, you bolted upright in Michael's bed and breathed heavily. The dream felt so real but it was slowly fading away. You couldn't remember his face or the color of his wings. You looked at the glowing clock on the wall and it read 4:30. You groaned and went into the bathroom to run cool water on your wrists. The water streamed down your hands and you took deep breaths with your eyes closed.

"Y/N are you alright?" The door swung open with a bang. You jumped and splashed Michael in the face with water. "I am so sorry. You scared me." He blinked a few times and wiped his face with his hand. "Yeah I got that. But are you Ok? I heard you scream my name." Your eyes widened and you looked at him. "I did?" He nodded and both of his eyes were black. The purple was gone. He actually looked worried and scared. "Michael I'm alright. Just a bad dream." He sighed and ran a hand through his multi-purple shaded locks. "It didn't sound like you were alright. I thought...never mind. But you're Ok? Really?" You raised your eyebrows. "Are you actually worried about me? I thought caring wasn't your thing." He chuckled and crossed his toned arms over his chest. His bare chest. And black pajama pants. What a combo. "No I wasn't worried. I just didn't want to think that another one of us got you first." He said concealing his truths. You nodded and chewed your lip.

"Well I'm Ok now. I'm going back to sleep so would you mind, you know?" You asked shooing him away. He laughed and walked back into his room with you trailing him. He opened the door and glanced back at you. "I'm glad you're not hurt." He said quietly and left you in his room alone. His eyes were purple and black.

After falling asleep once again, a few hours later you awoke to the sound of drawers opening and closing. You opened your eyes and let out a small scream. The boy screamed too and dropped the clothes he was holding. "Holy hell!" He yelled and bent over to pick up the strewn about clothing. "Sorry!" He apologized and held out a hand in surrender. "Who the hell are you?!" You asked covering yourself up, even though you weren't revealing anything.  He definitely looked different from Michael. His wings were burgandy rimmed with silver which looked striking with his light hair. His dark clothes clung to his lanky build and his eyes were the same burgandy as his wings. A thin black ring stuck out of his bottom lip giving him an even edgier look. "I'm Luke. From across the hall. I'm really sorry I woke you, but I needed to borrow something." He picked up your neon green bra and his eyes widened. "That's not at all what I wanted to borrow." The door opened and Michael stormed in with a disgruntled Calum behind him.

"Luke you shouldn't be in here!!! I told you I had a girl in here! Apologize and leave!" Michael barked. Luke dropped the bra, gave you an apologetic look and basically hauled ass out the door. Michael looked furious. "What is she doing here Michael? I thought you said you took care of her." Calum said glaring at you. You looked to Michael to see him looking at you too. Only his gaze was gentler than Calums'. "Calum please leave." He said not taking his eyes off of yours. "But Michael-" "Calum leave!!!" Michael yelled and Calum hesitated before leaving the room. You sat still, not wanting to piss him off more than he was. You noticed his eyes were both purple this time. They looked like they were on fire.

"I'm sorry for those idiots. I specifically told them not to come in here." He said calmly, although his fists said otherwise. "Michael really. It's OK. No harm done." You said softly. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath and nodded. "You're right. I'm sorry. I overreacted." He opened his eyes and they'd gone back to the normal one black and one purple. You stared at them and tried to figure out how they changed. "What? Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked a little annoyed. You shook your head but you couldn't look away. "I-I'm sorry. But, how do they do that?" You asked in awe. He raised his eyebrows and looked around. "How do what do what?"

You stood up from the bed and walked towards him to get a closer look. "Your eyes. They change colors." Michael tensed as you neared him. "They do." He admitted. "How? What makes them change?" You asked fascinated by the bright violet hue. He looked you in the eyes and they turned green.

"Different moods and behavior makes them change. Black when there's fear or concern. Purple for anger. And both for a balance." He explained.

"They're green right now. What does that mean?" You asked. He looked away and blinked, bringing them back to the violet and black. "Nothing. It means nothing." All feeling in his voice disappeared and any emotion on his face was gone. You let it go.

"So um...do you have any clothes I could borrow?" You switched subjects. He nodded and left the room for a moment to get something out in the hall. He brought back a blue duffel bag and set it on the bed and unzipped it. "I took the liberty of buying you a new wardrobe while you were sleeping. I figured I'd do that instead of flying all the way back to break into your house and get my wing bitten by a stupid little chihuahua." You blinked and pulled out the garments from the bag.

A lot of it was black. There were black shirts with black lace, black skinny jeans, black t-shirts, tank tops, and one black dress. He'd also gotten you a red blouse with a very low v-cut neck, a purple sweater, and a lovely lavender dress with silver embroidery. "Michael. This is all beautiful, but you shouldn't have gotten me anything." You placed the lavender, thin strapped dress back in the bag. "Oh that reminds me! There's more!" He said running back out into the hall. More? He came back in with a Victoria's Secret bag of course. Boys. He spilled the contents onto the bed and you blushed. There were lace and satin bras and panties. There may have even been a few thongs. "Ok. I have a few questions. First, why the hell did you shop at Victoria's Secret? Second, thongs Michael? Really? And lastly, how did you even know what sizes to get?" You asked all at once. He took a deep breath.

"Victoria's Secret because that's where the lady things are, thongs because...well I don't even know. I think Luke picked those out, and sizes because I may or may not have read the tags on your clothing earlier." He said truthfully. You nodded and looked at the interesting fashion statements that lay upon the bed. You frowned and picked up a emerald sweater you hadn't noticed before. "How did I miss this one? It's gorgeous."

The sleeves were green from the shoulder to the elbow, and the elbow down was a soft, see through white chiffon that flowed freely. The neckline was a medium u-neck. It was pretty plain other than that, but it was lovely. Michael smiled and crossed his arms. "That one's my favorite." He whispered. You agreed and set it down. "Thank you so much." You said and looked him in the eyes. "You didn't have to get me any of this. To be honest, I never expected you to anyways." You bit your lip hoping you didn't make him mad. His smile left. "Well you should be thankful I did. It cost a lot." You watched his eyes but they didn't turn vibrant purple. They turned green.
