Marcy was pacing back and forth outside of Anne and Sasha's hospital room. Anne's parents and Sasha's parents were already dismissed. Meanwhile Marcy on the other hand had refused to leave until she got some kind of news that her friends were okay.

'Are they going to be okay? Oh god this is all my fault! Their so going to hate me once they find out about what happened to them! I'm such an idiot to think my nerdy bookworm self could actually protect someone! I don't think I'll ever be able to forgive myself for letting this happen to them.'

Everything went black around Marcy. Marcy flinched as she heard two familiar voices.

'How could you mar-mar.' Anne's face popped up.

'You betrayed us.' Sasha's face popped up.

It was terrible for her to see her friends with so much hatred in their faces and voices. It was kinda hard to describe how their voices sounded, it was distorted. But terrifying. Their voices sounded bitter, like they were biting back from screaming at her that very moment.

"No! I know what I did was super dumb! I'm so sorry..." Marcy pleaded.

'It's too late, we want nothing to do with you... ever again.' Anne said.

Anne and Sasha's evil mocking laughs flooded through her head as she fell to her knees, sobbing into her hands until her lungs burned.

'Oh god.. once they get discharged out of here they'll hate me for sure! What if they leave me? What if they tell everyone that I'm a monster? What if I don't exist anymore to them? Oh god.. once they leave me I'll be all alone again and I won't be able to protect them!'

Marcy's whole body began to tremble as her heart rate sped up and she started hyperventilating.

Her ear twitched as she heard an unfamiliar feminine voice through her sobs. "Hey there."

Annoyance and frustration swarmed throughout Marcy's body. "Go away!" Marcy shouted.

The girls expression fell as she opened her mouth to speak. "A-Are you talking to me..?" The girl asked.

"All of you!" Marcy responded.

The girls face softened as she realized what was going on and sat besides Marcy.

"Hey, sometimes I get wrapped up in my own thoughts too. But my dad's taught me a little trick to quiet the voices." The girl said.

The girl raised her hand up in the air and took a big, slow inhale as she used her fingers to count up to five, and used her fingers to count back down to one as she exhaled. Marcy watched the girls technique and followed along in hopes to calm herself down. She finally relaxed and Anne and Sasha's faces disappeared from her mind and everything was no longer black around her.

Marcy let out a sigh and opened her mouth to speak. "Thank you, I don't know what I would have done without you here." Marcy thanked.

"No problem!" Said the girl.

"I'm Willow." She introduced.

"Marcy." Marcy introduced.

"Soooo... why don't you tell me a bit about yourself? Why'd you have that big panic attack just now? If you're okay with telling me that is.." Willow questioned.

"Okay I'm fine with telling you what happened, can I vent about it though?" Marcy asked.

"Sure, you can speak to me about anything." Willow responded.

"Okay so... I know this might sound crazy but a few months ago I came from a completely different dimension. How did I get there you ask? We'll get into that. So my parents told me about this new job that they had gotten, but they also said that we had to fly all the way across the world in order to work at that job. I told them that I didn't want to be separated from my two friends and they practically told me to just deal with it. I got sorta pissed so I ran away from home and Into this random store to get some fresh air, and that's when I saw it. The music box. The next day I called my friends over to hang out and I got one of my friends to steal the music box from the store. Welp, bad idea. Once we got the music box in our hands and we opened it, we teleported to a world called amphibia. Well, things happened and I met the king of newtopia. After I reunited with both my friends, we go on trips to try and find our way home. Once we found our way home it turns out that the king of newtopia was planning on betraying me for the music box the entire time! And once my friends found out that I was the one that got us all trapped there, they both got kinda pissed at me. I also ended up getting stabbed by a big fire sword and got possessed by something called 'the core.' Well, my friends ended up saving me and we defeated the core and lived happily ever after."

"Or so I thought."

"That's until yesterday, the core came back for revenge and put both of my best friends into a coma and it's all my fault, I don't think I can forgive myself at all for this."

"Oh my god Marcy that was a lot... I honestly don't know what to say. You poor thing, you and your friends went through so much only in the span of seven months. I'm so sorry and nobody should have to go through something like that, but I understand where you're coming from. I come from a different dimension myself, I come from a place called the boiling isles, and I'm not a human. I'm actually a witch! This is my first time in the human realm, my human friend Luz brought me and all her other friends here too! Also don't ask why I'm in a random hospital heh, I actually snuck in here." Willow said.

"Oh god I started talking about myself while you were venting! I'm so sorry, I'm such an idiot!" Willow apologized.

Marcy stared at the girl for a second and then let out a chuckle. "You're just like my friend Anne, always worried about how other people feel." Marcy said.

"Anyways, I gotta go soon. I'm hungry and I need a shower, I smell like ass. Also thank you for teaching me that breathing thing, it'llbe helpful for me in the future." Marcy thanked.

"Hey no problem, I'll be here for you anytime you need! I also taught my friend Gus that breathing technique too and it's helpful for him so let me know if you need anything." Willow grinned.

"Okay thanks!" Marcy waved, as she walked out of the hospital.

......

Marcy walked through the front door of her house and was immediately met with angry parents.

"Marceline Wu where the fuck were you!? You had us worried sick!" Marcy's mom screamed.

'Should I tell them? I don't know, they'll just see me as even more of a failure that makes mistakes all the time.' Marcy thought.

Marcy stayed silent and continued looking down at her feet in shame.

"Answer me young lady!" She demanded.

"I'm sorry for being a disappointment to you guys, I'm sorry I'm a failure. I even failed my friends." Marcy apologized.

"I'm sorry, for everything."

Marcy quickly walked past her angry mom and her angry father who was just watching from the sidelines and stormed upstairs to her room.

Once she got up to her room she quickly flopped onto her bed and let out a sigh as she curled up into a ball under her blankets.

...

Marcy peeked from under her blanket and saw her mother walking towards her. Her mother sat at the edge of her bed in silence. She saw her mother give her a few worried glances from time to time.

It was weird having this sort of attention and concern. Marcy couldn't tell if she was uncomfortable since they were just sitting there in silence staring at eachother with stupid looks on their faces.

As soon as Marcy stopped daydreaming her gaze was met with her mother's. "Is everything alright Marcy? You've been spacing out a lot and you've been acting weird lately."

'Oh god! She's starting to get suspicious!' Marcy thought.

"Yea of course I'm fine!"

'Of course not dumb fuck, I'm fucking hopeless idiot.'

"Everything's fine, I haven't been getting enough sleep because I've been studying all night to get smarter for you guys." Marcy lied.

"I know my daughter, and I know that's a lie. You haven't been yourself lately. You know if there's something bothering you, I'll always we here to help and support you." Her mother says.

'You know that's bullshit. If they cared they wouldn't bug you so much about your health and school work, they wouldn't be like that and try to push the answers out, just like everyone else.'

Everyone just hides how they feel, don't they?

Everything is all just fake, a facade.

Isn't it?

'Your so selfish. You've been making your problems so obvious to other people even though you try to hide it. You fucking dumbass, you got your friends in a coma. You worry about your friends too much, the "Calamity Trio?" How much attention do you need? Stop making everything about you! And that friend group name you made sucks camel dicks.'

'You'll always be a clueless idiot. What makes you think you can accomplish anything in your horrible life, you shouldn't exist. Your friends are going to die, if they die becauseof you, then you don't deserve your life.'

Marcy's mother noticed her zoned out face and pulled her into a bone crushing hug. A few minutes pass, and Marcy falls asleep into the loving embrace of her mother.
