Chapter three: Nice to see you again

Everyone was deep into conversation with each other when Jordan and Spencer walked over "Hey! There they are! We though you guys left." JJ said Sophie turned around and looked at Jordan, he looked back at her, she looked different to him but he couldn't quite put his finger on what. "Hi." she said with a small smile "Hi." Jordan said then they continued to stare at each other "Um, Sophie this is Spencer James the guy we were telling you about." Olivia said "Nice to meet you." Spencer said "Yeah you too." Sophie said with a smile, the guys joined the group "So Sophie where were you?" Asher asked "I spent the year in Italy." she said "Italy? Really? Wow that's amazing." Leila said "Why Italy?" Spencer said "I have some family in Italy, it was my parents way of changing up our lives for a bit." Sophie said "Do you have pictures?" Olivia asked "Yeah, here let me show you." she said as she took out her phone and went on her camera roll and showed everyone pictures from Italy "So this is my grandparents house... and this is my favourite Italian restaurant... these are some friends that I made in Italy... this is a soccer game that I watched with my friends, that's our school and the opposing school, we won... this is the party after the game...the beach...the museum...the school...my car...pizza, pizza and more pizza." she said with a laugh "And a family picture obviously." Sophie said "Those are you parents?" Spencer asked "Yeah I was adopted when I was two." she said "Cool." he said, she smiled "Thanks." she said 

Soon the bell rang to end lunch and everyone was gathering their things to head to their next class "Hey Sophie are you doing anything after school?" Olivia asked "No, why?" she asked "You wanna sleep over?" she asked "Sure." Sophie said "But I'll have to stop by my house and get some stuff." she said "Totally no problem. Leila you wanna come?" Olivia asked "Can't I have therapy and then dinner with my dad and tons of homework but maybe next time." Leila said "For sure." Olivia said as they all headed to class. 

Sophie was walking down the hall when she heard someone calling her "Soph wait up." Jordan said as he jogged up next to her "Hey." she said "Hi." he said "How are you I feel like we never got a chance to talk." he said "Why didn't you ever call me while you were in Italy?" he asked " I just wanted to take a step back from my life here that's all." she said "Oh...okay." he said "I better get to class." she said "Yeah, yeah okay I'll see you later." he said "Yeah, see you." she said with a smile before heading to her class. Jordan watched her, he realized that she looked skinnier, way skinnier...
