Chapter Seven: Strangers

16:35, 16 January 2024

"You just spilled your coffee on a Jonas Brother!" Tessa exclaimed, as she was trying to hide squeals.

I looked up at the guy I spilled the coffee onto and then back at Tessa.

The man had black, curly hair with hazel eyes and a pale skin tone mixed with tan. He was wearing a pair of blue denim jeans and a regular red shirt with a brown and red flannel.

"Looks like a normal person to me." I replied to Tessa, walking away from the situation.

"So, you know us." The guy to the left added.

This guy had brunette curly hair with a very muscular build and looked around Tessa's height. He was wearing a green T-shirt with a red pair of jeans. I need to know where he got those pants.

"Not me." I said. "And I don't care."

Tessa looked at me like I just screwed up her chance to smash one of the brothers or something.

As the brothers walked out of the shop, the first one turned to me and then looked away, getting back into his car that's probably driven by his chauffeur or whatever they call them.

Tessa walks to me, with a huge frown on her face as she picks me up from the floor.

"Jess!" Tessa shouted at me. "That was Joe Jonas!"

I took a minute to pause and take in what happened. I sighed and then made eye contact with Tessa.

"Joe Jonas what now?" I asked her, looking out to the distance and watching the car drive off.

"You spilled your coffee on Joe Jonas!" Tessa exclaimed. "THE Joe Jonas!"

~

I walked out of the coffee shop after getting a free coffee from the shop after I spilled it. I held my hand out for a taxi like they do in those movies. Funny thing, it works.

Tessa and I got into the back of the Taxi after the incident at the coffee shop. Tessa wouldn't talk to me for most of the ride. I feel like she's just being dramatic about this coffee incident anyway. I don't know what these brothers look like, I only know that their music sucks.

"Tessa, please talk to me!" I exclaimed to her.

"No." She replied.

"I got you to talk to me!" I laughed.

"So funny!" Tessa replied.

"Come on now!" I begged. "What did I do?"

There was a long pause between us and I started to text my other friends on my phone. She turned to look at me and I put my phone down to listen to her.

"Do you know how long I've dreamed of meeting them?" She asked me. "It's a once in a lifetime opportunity for me."

I paused for a moment and then I finally turned to her, my body completely facing her, as much as this car seatbelt will allow for me to.

"Tessa," I held her hands. "They're just people. They're not puppets for our amusement!"

Tessa still rolled her eyes at me and then turned away from me for the rest of the ride back to the hotel.
