Was it his ears tricking him, or could he hear his name?

Jun stopped. There it was again...but why did the voice sound familiar?

He jogged back up the road towards the school and rounded the bend. Far up the hill, there was a commotion near the only car in the lot.

"JUN!!" Sana screamed, and this time Jun understood.

Blinded by fear and anger and adrenaline, Jun tore towards the car as he saw her being shoved inside and the door being shut. The engine ignited and the lights turned on.

Jun didn't slow down. Instead, he swung his school bag off his shoulders and charged. The car was heading right towards him.

"Run him over!" Mr. Ahn roared as he struggled with a twisting Sana in the backseat. The old man gripped the steering wheel in fear, but stepped on the gas nonetheless.

Suddenly something slammed into the windshield. It was Jun's bag. The man braked hard, causing the car to spin and crash into the pavement. The old man's head banged against the steering wheel and he sat still in his seat.

The two people at the back, Sana with a bloody nose and a ripped uniform, and the older male with a bleeding finger and developing black eye, were dazed and had stopped scuffling for a moment. The door of which Mr. Ahn was leaning against was wrenched open suddenly, causing Sana to scream and the man to topple out backwards onto the tarmac.

Sana caught a glimpse of Jun's head before it disappeared and she tried to sit up.

Outside, Jun was ruthlessly dragging Mr. Ahn across the ground, allowing the stones to scrape against his back. Once he was out of the way of the car, Jun clambered on top of him and punched him across the face. He didn't stop there. Jun continuously punched him until his lip bled and his mouth was crimson. He would punch this man to death if he had to.

"HOW DARE YOU!!" he roared at the bloodied man. "HOW DARE YOU DO THIS!!!!!!!"

His moment of hesitation allowed the man to kick him in the chest to get him off. It only angered Jun more. He charged at the man, caught him around the waist and slammed him into the wall behind him. Mr. Ahn slid to the ground where Jun proceeded to kick him tyrannically in the side.

"Stop!" Sana cried from behind him. It was not enough to help him control his rage. He continued to kick the writhing man on the ground.

"Jun, stop!" The sound of his name halted him. Jun was breathing heavily and his eyes were wide and animalistic. He slowly turned to face Sana.

She was sobbing. "Jun...I love you too..." she said. Then her knees buckled and she fell to the ground.

"Sana!" Jun yelled, and rushed over to her. He held her in his arms and shook her. She was unconscious, but still breathing.

He fumbled in his pockets and found his phone. Just checking to make sure the man was still down, Jun called the police and reported the incident hurriedly before hanging up and yelling for the security guards.

.

.

Hectic. That could be one way to describe that night. To Jun, it was chaos.

After he left Mr. Ahn and the old man with the school's security guards, he had picked Sana up and rushed her to the school nurse who had been about to lock up, but immediately let him in once she saw the state of the two.

The nurse took care of Sana until paramedics and the police arrived. Then he had to go outside to be interrogated about what had happened.

The Principal drove back to the school and she had a short talk with Jun, all of which he could not remember, since he was still worried about Sana.

His mother and Sana's parents were called to the school. Jun returned to the nurse's office where Sana was being examined by the paramedics as well. They said she had fainted from shock, and gave her a light sedative and ice packs for her knees where they had hit the tarmac. She would wake up in a few hours since they didn't want her to collapse from shock again if she woke up in a few minutes.

He sat with her as people entered and exited the office, asking questions and telling him things which he did not listen to.

He moved aside quickly when Sana's parents rushed in. Her mother hugged him tightly with tears in her eyes, and he winced, as the kick from the man had definitely done some damage.

Jun's mother arrived much later. She greeted Sana's parents briefly before rushing over to her son and embracing him harder than Mrs. Minatozaki, which made him cry out in pain. She immediately sent for him to be checked out. He had bruised a few ribs and had a swollen wrist, but other than that he was fine.

Sana woke up at thirty minutes past nine; three hours later. By then, the paramedics had left, the two men had been taken away in police cars and the odd officer or two were questioning the security men and Principal trying to gather enough information and looking at CCTV footage.

Everyone in the nurse's office had refused to go home and stayed with Sana, getting asked questions by the police or getting requests for interviews by the local newspapers.

Jun sat by her side stiffly, her hand in his, regardless of how many adults occupied the room. His ribs hurt, but he would never leave her alone again.

He was fuming. The whole frickin Ministry of Education had gotten involved, but all they had done was bring replacements! They were just putting on a show. No wonder they responded like that. They just wanted to show that they would take even a blog post 'seriously'.

They simply wanted to save face. Imbeciles...Jun thought bitterly.

Then, he felt her hand twitch in his and when he looked up, she was awake. Breathing a sigh of relief Jun hugged her before anyone else could react.

Once everyone realized that she'd regained consciousness, it was chaotic again.

Jun moved out of the way for her parents to engulf her and ramble on about how worried they were (or had been) and how they were afraid they'd never see her again and a whole lot of other emotional stuff that Jun didn't pay attention to because he was so tired.

But, unfortunately, he couldn't catch a break even after zoning out because soon, the conversation turned towards him again. He was bombarded by thanks and 'how could we ever repay you's but it was soon stopped when Ms. Wen and the nurse's combined effort shooed everyone out so that it was left with the two teenagers and the nurse herself, who soon disappeared into her inner office room after telling them to call on her if the need arose.

The whole time since the two had been in the room, neither had spoken a word. Until then.

"I'm sorry," Sana whispered, avoiding his gaze, but he shook he head immediately and went to settle himself on the side of the bed.

"Don't you dare say you're sorry, Sana." Jun told her firmly. It was Sana's turn to shake her head.

"I'm sorry I didn't believe you...it's just I was—"

"You were scared." Jun completed her sentence perfectly and she looked at him properly.

Jun smiled slightly. "As much as I thought it was stupid, I made myself understand that there's no way I could know or even attempt to feel the horrible emotions you must have had when you saw that video. And it's not your fault. It's not mine either."

"But I blamed it on you though," Sana muttered and angrily wiped away a tear. "Instead of trusting you, I believed some false evidence that even looked like it was forged."

"You were just scared that it could've been true. Because it's not the first time someone has hurt you like that before. It was simply caution," he told her. "Even though I was quite hurt you didn't deny it was true, I understand. So don't worry about it, alright?"

Jun grinned and stroked Sana's hair softly.

It was the first time in over a week that the two had made contact again. And they both felt good.

"But you already know," Jun began. "that I would NEVER do something like that to you. EVER." Sana's head bobbed up and down beneath his hand in a nod.

"However," he added suspensefully. "you need to make up for it." His legendary naughty grin spread across his face. Sana raised an eyebrow.

"And how might I do that?" she asked.

"Grant me five wishes. Whatever I want, whenever I want, and you can't say no either. Deal?" he said.

Sana pondered over it for a second and replied, "Make it three and we're cool."

"Deal," Jun responded immediately and they shook hands to close the deal.

Sana scanned Jun properly. "Are your ribs okay?" she asked him. "You seemed to have been kicked very hard."

Jun shook his head and waved it off, attempting to shift his position to prove he really wasn't in pain, but failed drastically.

Sana rolled her eyes again and after a heated battle, forced Jun to take her place and lie down while she went for the first aid kit. She didn't want to bother the nurse any longer since she knew it was way past her closing time.

Held down by Sana's warning glare, Jun did as he was told, unbuttoned his school shirt and rolled up his vest. There was a clear purple bruise across three of his left ribs and he winced in pain as Sana pressed the cold ice packs to it.

"You know..." Jun said after a few minutes of silence and Sana applying cold to his injured ribs, "if Mrs. Nurse wasn't in there...and our parents weren't out there...this would be a completely different situation..." he trailed off with a dirty smirk.

Picking up the large metal bandage scissors she said, "This is going to become a whole different situation if you don't shut up."

Jun gulped and reached to pry the scissors from her fingers, but the pain in his ribs stopped him and he groaned.

Sana looked up at him, concerned. "Sorry! Did I press too hard?" she asked.

"Just kidding," he lied, and Sana hit the right side of his chest. This time he actually faked his pain, but Sana merely watched him with an 'are you dumb?' expression.

"You're hurt on your left, dumbass," she told him and he stopped. They both looked at each other and chuckled.

The nurse came out of her office and quickly took over from Sana insisting it was her job.

She reluctantly allowed the older female to do it, but eyed her viciously as she did her job and cleared her throat loudly when the nurse lifted his shirt higher.

Jun suppressed his laughter as the nurse let his shirt down and said, "You need to ice that for two days to reduce the swelling and the pain, and then apply heat for three to four days to speed up the healing process." Sana listened closely, ignoring Jun's face as he glanced between the two humorously. "It should take at least 2 and a half weeks for them to heal completely, so no heavy lifting until then. No sports either. I'll give you painkillers for the pain, so make sure to take them at the right time."

The two of them soon left the office (Jun with his meds) as the nurse locked up. Sana's parents had already gone to the car and Jun could see his mother with her back to them, waiting in the distance.

"You were so jealous back there, weren't you?" Jun said with a satisfied smirk. Sana rolled her eyes and said nothing, watching the nurse cross the school grounds at a fast pace.

"You were totally jealous. Nearly fuming from the look on your face," he continued, his voice light. "I'm surprised she didn't die from the glare of the death stares you gave her, because I would've—"

Sana pushed him up against the wall and he didn't even have time to wince before Sana's lips were on his. Jun had almost forgotten how good he felt whenever he kissed her and now it all came flooding back.

"Wh-what was that for?" he asked shakily, a smile tugging the corner of his mouth.

"Jealousy," Sana tiptoed to whisper in his ear, then with a final glance, turned and continued down the hall.

Jun smirked. "Well I've got to make you more jealous then, don't I?" he called after her.

Ahead of him Sana smiled.
