It had been a week. One good week and Jun was going crazy. Sana had completely fallen for the obvious lie and now she would go no where near him. She had also exchanged seats with Chanyeol so she could sit with Irene, and now, Jun couldn't even hear her voice.

He MISSED her. He wanted to hold her hand and stroke her hair and smell her and hug her and talk about life with her and make stupid jokes with her...

He had no idea how much longer a week really was without one of the people he loved to be with the most.

The investigation was declared private and no information was given or was allowed to be given to students and other staff. Jun was constantly getting hated on and picked on...just like in his old school. It was only Minghao who stuck beside him, despite the terrible glares he received as well. Students continued to come up with their absurd theories and spread even worse rumors about it.

Jun was simply waiting for the test results to come back. He and his mother believed they had a lot of evidence, and it seemed that the board of four adults were beginning to believe him.

Monday rolled around, and it blended into Tuesday, and Tuesday became a Wednesday. Still no Sana, still more rumors...but finally, at the close of the day...

"Jun, the test results have come back." Principal Kang told him in her office.

His heart rate escalated and he gulped. "And?"

Principal Kang pulled the stapled document out of a crisp brown envelope. "Well...you can see for yourself," she said and handed the document over to him.

He hastily scanned the documents, brushing over charts he didn't understand, he made his way to the conclusion of the document.

The two voices are an 82% match.

Jun's heart sunk. "I-Is that a bad figure?" he asked.

"Well, yes, if you're talking about the similarity of the voices assuming you were a voice phisher. But, no, because if it really was you speaking, the figure should at least be between 95 to 99.8%." Principal Kang told him. "We will consider this evidence. But I must say Jun, it's looking a lot brighter for you."

A smile slowly spread across his face. A smile he had not used in a long time.

"Principal Kang," Jun said, and the woman nodded at him to proceed. "Once this investigation is through, can you please announce the results and the facts and the evidence?"

She examined him. "Well, we can't release all of that. We can state a final verdict though. Publicly, I mean." She told him. Jun wasn't very convinced.

"But you have to put enough evidence in that statement so that people will finally stop doubting me and I can live my life again!" he protested, his voice rising. "Do you know how hard it has been this past week? The stares, the insults, the rumors, the false accusations! I don't even know what I did wrong!"

"Jun, calm down," Principal Kang said firmly and Jun took deep breaths. "We are working with what we have as well as what you have given us. We are interrogating the suspects you mentioned, but it is difficult to know anything. For now, just be glad that this is moving one step in the right direction."

.

.

It was almost dark by the time Jun walked down past the school gates. He saw Sana's familiar figure ahead of him. Apparently, she had spotted him too, and turned her back on him as he passed. But he stopped.

"Hey," he said softly to her back.

"Go away..." she mumbled back.

"I just wanted to say hi. It's been a while since I heard your voice and I just hope you're okay. Don't worry, and just live your life, alright."

Her figure remained silent.

"I love you." Jun whispered in finality and continued down the road after a pause.

Behind him, Sana's eyes welled with tears, but she blinked them back angrily. She waited until he was nearly out of sight before she also started off behind him.

To be honest, she missed him as well. She missed his hyperactive presence and his huge hands and his handsome face and his ridiculous jokes and theories. But she also missed how they could just sit for hours and talk about ANYTHING and everything. She missed his giggles and his smiles and his naughty expressions. She missed how he held her so tightly as if he was shielding her from the world, or as if he was keeping her as his own. She missed how he kissed her unexpectedly and the kind words he always told her, even if she never said them back. She wanted to tell him she loved him. She wanted to run and jump into his arms but...but...

She was scared.

"Excuse me," a raspy voice said. An old man stood by a green car in the parking lot. He was holding a map and looked rather confused. "Young lady, would you be so kind as to just help me with this map?"

Sana sniffed and nodded, heading over to him. The man pointed a bony finger at a place on the map and squinted. "Is this where I am now? S. S. High school, right?" he asked her.

"Yes, sir, that's right," she replied, drying her eyes.

"But I want to go over there," he pointed to another location. Sana tried to figure it out and silence lapsed between the two.

"Have you been crying, young lady?" the old man asked. Sana chuckled falsely and shook her head. "No, it's—"

The action was so sudden and swift, Sana did not even know what had happened.

She was grabbed roughly from behind and had a hand clamped over her mouth, forcing some of the air out of her lungs. She tried to scream, but the sound was muffled by the hand. She was being dragged backwards, towards the car.

Sana writhed frantically, then bit down as hard as she possibly could on the finger of the person. He yelped and dropped her on the ground, before cursing loudly.

The familiar voice froze Sana where she was.

Her hesitation allowed the old man behind her to grab her hair and shove her back at the man she had bitten, who grabbed a hold of her again.

"You want to play dirty huh?" Mr. Ahn said, menace in his words. "Not today!"

In his anger, he had forgotten to cover Sana's mouth. At that moment she opened it wide and screamed with all her might, the one name that she could think of, the one name she could remember:

"JUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!"
