Elena's POV

"What do you say?" I ask. "It could be a fresh start for the three of us, away from this madness."

"But my friends?" Gabby's sad tone breaks my heart. I don't want her to be moving around a lot but being offered a job is a huge thing.

"I know girl, but we can always drive up here on our free weekends." I say. "I still want Mia to see her dad and her grandpa. You'll be able to see your friends"

Gabby takes a deep breath as she sits back.

"Just think about it okay? If you don't want to, we don't have to."

She nods as I walk away.

I take my phone out and call Karina. I hadn't talked to her in a couple of days.

"Bitch where are you?!" She yells through the phone as I answer.

"Oh hi, I'm doing pretty good, how are you?" I say sarcastically.

"I'm sorry, but you really had me worried here. Are you and the girls safe? do you guys need anything?" She asks.

"Yeah we're safe. We're staying at a hotel for now." I say. "How are you and Tito?"

"We 're good. I'm just so pissed off right now." She says. "I seriously just want to go and beat these bitches ass for not saying shit."

"They knew?" I ask.

"Yup, Oscar told me." She says.

"Wait you talked to him?" I ask her as I lean forward from where I'm sitting.

"Not exactly." She says. "That's not the point though, the point is that these two putas knew about this and didn't have the balls to tell you. Like if I knew, I would have told you right that second Elena."

"I know and trust me, I want nothing to do with them at this moment." I say. "Kari, I met this guy two nights ago. He's pretty chill and is very nice."

"Whoa, already moving on?" She laughs.

"No mensa." I say smiling. "We went out for breakfast yesterday and he offered me a job in his studio. He's a photographer and graphic designer."

"Holy shit." She says. "We got people like that in Freeridge?"

"He lives in LA." I say.

Karina stays quiet for a second, till it finally clicks.

"Oh.. Ooooh." She says. "Wait you're thinking of moving back to LA? You just came back from there."

"I know but I still haven't decided. Well Gabby hasn't. When I was in LA, everything was just great. Then I came back and I feel like instead of things getting better and better, it just keeps getting worse and worse and I have only been here for a couple of months."

"Look girl, I know you're my best friend and I want nothing but the best for you and my little goddaughter, If moving back to LA will be the best choice, then do it." She says. "It just sucks because I had so much planned out. We were catching up and everything."

"I know but I swear, I will keep in touch with you guys and my dad." I say. Gabby walks out of the room and stands there waiting for me. "Kari, I gotta go. I'll call you later okay?"

"Yeah no problem, say hi to Mia and Gabby for me." She says.

"Yeah, say hi to Tito for me." I say. I end the call and look at Gabby who is waiting for me.

"I think it would be a good idea for a new start." She says.
