Part 7
17:14, 2 July 2019"Okay. So, I'm gonna try asking you some questions which may be related to you base from what you have said a while back. Let's start"
I wrote his name on top of the paper and below it was the name Steve.
"Do you remember what is Steve to you?"
His eyes were on the paper, he opened his mouth only to close it again.
"He is my..... best friend. Steve Rogers"
Steve Rogers?
Sounds familiar.
"When was the last time you saw him?" tapping the pen on the paper, I waited for his answer.
"Few months ago. I had him in the neck, I was so close on killing him. They tried to kill me too, because he didn't know who I was. It was Hydra. They...."
The moment he mentioned Hydra made me cut him off.
"Hydra? You mean the Russian....."
"Yes. And they sent me to kill Steve"
I've known Hydra. My brother would tell stories about it being the world's greatest threat.
"Steve Rogers. Captain America? Now, these all make sense"
I wrote down the informations that I got, puzzling all the connections that are possible to conclude his lost memory.
I quickly got my phone and searched for Steve's name and his history hoping that I could get information about Bucky too. Captain America fought against Hydra in 1945, the time when he was given the Project Rebirth that made him a Super Soldier which later on America named him as Captain America, the infamous hero.
I found a museum called Smithsonian to commemorate the heroism of Captain America as well as his team. First thing I saw was a picture of Captain America and his team named Howling Commandos, further more, those names of some soldier who was included in that team. And I came to see another photo, a clear image for me to see Bucky who's standing beside Steve. States there: "Howling Commandos– Steven Grant Rogers; Captain America, Sergeant James Buchanan Barnes—"
James.
That's his name.
Bucky is James Buchanan Barnes.
But he died in 1945. How does he kept alive?
"Take a look at this" I quickly went beside him and showed him the picture. "I think that's you" a smile formed from my lips.
"That's Steve, and..." he trailed his finger across the other soldier. His determined face on the picture matched his face now that is quite becoming enlighted.
"Do you remember this?" I pointed at the picture while I look at him. His gaze never left the picture, I knew he is trying to take all the information now, but what I care about is him.
"That's..... that's me"
