Part 5
10:50, 1 July 2019First thing that came into my mind was my job. They are probably looking for me, what if they fire me?
"I'm sorry, but I have to go now. I can't just dump my job, they will fire me if I don't show myself today. Thank you for mending my wound and everything what you've done. I'll just meet you later, when I see you again. Thank you" I quickly got up and not minding the pain in my belly and took my leave but before I could reach the door, he grabbed my wrist with his metal arm and spun me around. His grip was not that strong but enough for me to stay hold.
"Stay" he said in low voice.
"But why? You've just heard me, my job is waiting" I tried to pull back but his grip became tighter.
"I said stay" his eyes felt like it hypnotized me as I nod. He loosen his hold and went back to his seat.
For a moment of silence and being here still standing from where he held me, I couldn't stop from staring at him. Though he doesn't mind me here as if I don't exist, he is very silent. His body gestures are counted.
I looked at my shirt which is yet stained by blood, he didn't mind not to change it anyway. He just tended my wound and that's it. But I don't demand for a treatment, this is enough.
Anyway, he never told me his name yet. I asked him earlier but he didn't answer me.
I returned to my previous seat as I tried thinking of something to make a conversation. With this silent treatment which I'm not accustomed to, I really want to ask him anything I wanted to ask.
"You never told me your name" and I'm very hopeful that he would answer me.
He brushed back his hair and pursed his lips into a thin line as if he's trying to remember. Another random thought crossed my mind, but I shrugged it off.
"There's a man, he.... he called me Bucky. I wasn't sure of that. I.... I don't remember who I am"
