Chapter 10: 𝐴 𝑐𝑢𝑟𝑠𝑒

𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿 𝗣𝗢𝗩

Its been a few weeks after Mikasa and Eren started dating and they haven't told their friends about it yet.

Mikasa still didn't like socializing with other people so she rellly only had Eren's friend group as her friends but she had gotten quite close with Marco.

It was Thursday and Mikasa was sitting at her seat which was by the window, lost in her own thoughts, staring at the cloudy sky, birds of all type soaring through the sky and Mikasa admired them not even noticing that Eren was trying to grab her attention.

Eren tapped on her shoulder which made Mikasa snap back to reality.She was greeted by a smiling Eren.

"Mikasa are you okay?"-Eren asked with the look of worry in his eyes.

Mikasa nodded while opening her math textbook since they we're in math class waiting for Mr.Reiss to walk in. Mr.Reiss was the father of Historia and everyone loves him because he makes math an actual fun subject.

Mikasa started working on self check questions to pass time.

Just then, Daniel walked in and went over to sit beside Mikasa but saw that Eren had already beat him to it so he sighed and sat behind her.

"Hey Mikasa, how you doing?"-Daniel asked while smiling.

Mikasa turned her head and responded with a simple answer.

"I am fine"

Mikasa turned back to focus on her questions not even noticing Eren and Daniel glaring at each other.

Eren POV

I was so fed up with Daniel always talking with Mikasa but I knew I was just overreacting because I knew Mikasa was even more loyal than dog so I had nothing to worry about except for the fact that Daniel might try something on her.

I wanted to make it clear that Mikasa and I we're dating to Daniel but I didn't want to make a scene so I just tried to ignore him and pass time by checking social media.

A few minutes later and Mr.Reiss walked in and we all faced the board waiting for class to commence.

Class was over and we all walked out, I was walking with Mikasa until we heard someone speak through the speakers. We all stopped walking in the halls to listen to what was going on.

"Good day everyone, now this isnt usually what we do but according to teachers and staff, every student has been very behaved and well mannered and we can tell you all are working hard due to your grades so there will be a free day tomorrow which is Friday, have a great day everyone."-The speakers crackled then was switched off.

Everyone was so happy that there wouldn't be school on Friday and we all continued walking to our next classes.

After a few hours it was lunch so Mikasa and I walked to the cafeteria, got our lunch then sat down with the rest of our friends.

As Mikasa and I walked over to the table, I noticed that Sasha was eyeing us very carefully so I cocked my brow and she shook her head while smirking.I gave her a confused look then sat down.

I didn't even bother to eat because I just kept talking with Mikasa and even when we weren't talking, I couldn't help but look at her, her long black hair, her soft thin lips, her beautiful black eyes, her soft pale skin and her b-

I was cut off by Sasha who threw a potato at me.

"What the heck was that for Sasha?!"-I yelled at her while throwing the potato right at her face.

"Ow!"-Sasha whined

"Why would you do that?"-Connie yelled, defending Saaha.

"Ask your girlfriend why she is throwing potatoes at me!"-I yelled back

Sasha and Connie blushed

"We're not dating you idiot."-Both Sasha and Connie said in unison

I rolled my eyes.

"Why are you staring at Mikasa?"-Sasha asked while stuffing chips in her mouth

I blushed and quickly denied it

"I am not"

"Are too" -Sasha said

"Am not"

"Are too"

"Am n-"

"We're dating alright"-Mikasa said plainly while taking another bite from her bread

Everyone stopped what they we're doing and stared at both Mikasa and I. Everyone seemed shocked, even Annie.

"WHAT?!"-They all yelled except for Annie who was still confused.

I eventually gave in and agreed.

"Yup"-I said plainly and continued eating

"Eremika is otp"-Sasha said in a formal way

Mikasa and I both looked at her confused.

"What's that?"-Mikasa and I asked at the same time.

Sasha rolled her eyes and continued eating.

Throughout lunch, all of them we're just asking when, how, why, where etc and it got really annoying so I tried to change the subject.

"So what are you guys doing tomorrow since there is no school?"-I asked

"Well does anyone want to come with Connie and I to the amusement park?"-Sasha asked

We all agreed and continued eating.

~𝑇𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑠𝑘𝑖𝑝~

It was the end of the day and all of us walked to the gym to see who made the cut for the Dubai World School Games.

24 kids made it in total, 12 girls and 12 boys.

The top ten we're: 1)Mikasa Ackerman 2)Annie Leonhardt 3) Eren Yeager 4) Reiner Braun 5)Bertholdt Hoover 6)Jean Kirstein 7) Ymir Fritz  8)Sasha Braus 9) Connie Springer and 10) Historia Reiss

Historia didn't plan on trying out but we made her come to the second tryouts because we all new that despite her small size, she was a beast at javelin.

Armin made the team but he was 12th place.

"How the heck did I make this team?"-Armin asked

We all laughed and left the gym.

We went our seperate ways and I walked Mikasa home this time and when we made it to her house, I gave her a kiss on her forehead and waved goodbye and went home.

~𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑥𝑡 𝑑𝑎𝑦~

Mikasa POV

I woke up feeling a bit uneasy, something was telling me that we shouldn't go to the amusement park but I shrugged it off.

I got ready and made my way out of the house towards the park because that's where we would all meet up.

I arrived and was greeted by Eren then the rest of them.

Annie finally arrived with her truck so we all hopped in and I was feeling a bit nervous and Eren saw through me and gave me a reassuring smile and hug.

We finally arrived and I was staring in awe.The glowing lights, the arcade games, the rollercoasters, a bunch of kids running around with their parents, stuffed animals and then it hit me.

This was where I was supposed to go to for my birthday but that never happened.

I was saddened by the thought but shook my head and started walking around with Eren.

We played a few games, although I didn't show it, I was actually having fun until I heard a loud noise.

I immediately turned around to see what had happened. I started hearing the sounds again and then I realised it was gun shots, multiple gun shots. Eren grabbed my arm and we started running opposite the direction of the gun shots.

We saw Sasha and Connie running towards the exit so Eren and I ran up to them, soon we we're greeted by Armin,Annie, and then everyone else except... except for Jean and Marco.

"Where the hell are they?!"-Annie asked looking annoyed

They started panicking while I was just lost in my thoughts. We heard the police and ambulance, we were escorted by the police out of the amusement park.

Reiner and Eren we're refusing to go until they got their friends, but the police managed to pull them out. We we're sitting by the benches outside waiting for Marco and Jean.I was worried actually because I had gotten close to them and If I were to lose them I wouodnt know what to do.

I kept replaying Eren's promise in my head '𝑛𝑜 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢, 𝑤𝑒'𝑟𝑒 𝑎𝑙𝑙 ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑦𝑜𝑢, 𝐼 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑚𝑖𝑠𝑒' I really hoped Eren was telling the truth because I saw Marco as the brother I never had, I was supposed to have a baby brother but my mom was killed before she could even give birth.

I was getting angry with all the waiting.

I looked up and saw a devestated Jean walking towards us.Just as I was about to asked where Marco was, a stretcher came out behind Jean and on the stretcher was.....

Marco.

Half of his face was distorted with a bunch of holes in his face, I ran up to him only to be pushed away by the medics. I was silently crying, I could see his chest risee up and down multiple times until it just stopped.

Marco was dead.The medics stopped pushing the stretcher and looked down in defeat.They couldn't save him, it was too late.I looked back the group and all of them we're crying, Eren stood up and walked towards me but I pushed him back.

"Liar! You said no one would leave me anymore, you promised!"-I yelled at him.

He just stood there.

I scoffed and removed his hand from my shoulder.

"Don't make promises you can't keep."-I walked away from the group and started my journey home.

I started feeling my head ache, I grabbed my head and fell to my knees due to the pain.

I looked back at the police sirens, some people crying, some injured and some killed including Marco.

'𝐴ℎ, 𝑖𝑡𝑠 ℎ𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑔𝑎𝑖𝑛'- I thought
