It's Saturday night and the BAU team and their loved ones are coming soon for the Halloween party we are throwing. It's kind of for Spencer's birthday? I mean we aren't celebrating with cake and presents again, but he loves Halloween so the party is for him so he can enjoy his favorite holiday. I'm still making a few dishes and setting everything up just perfect so it looks beautiful. I took Spencer to HomeGoods and Target and let him go wild buying halloween decor for his birthday. He was like a kid in a candy store. We have Halloween pillows, candles, ceramic pumpkins, string lights, streamers, signs, plates, cups, napkins, just anything there was that was Halloween-y, Spencer bought it. My one condition was that I buy his Halloween costume and surprise him with it. I'm still in my leggings and sweatshirt as I finish expertly arranging the charcuterie board in the shape of a jack o lantern, or, as I've been calling it, the char-spooky-board. Spencer comes in the kitchen and excitedly grabs my hands and spins me around asking "can we please go get in our costumes now?" I chuckle and nod. I lead him back to our bedroom and tell him to sit on the bed and wait for me. I change into the sexy nurse outfit I got for me that wasn't too sexy and wouldn't embarrass him in front of the team. He chuckles and shakes his head "let them in and I'll meet you out there in a couple minutes, baby," and shuts the bathroom door. I leave the bedroom to open the door to the apartment. I look through the peephole and see Penelope and Derek. I smile as I greet them "hey guys, happy Halloween!" Derek flashes his perfect smile and says "hey, Annie, happy Halloween!" Penelope bounces as she walks over and gives me a hug and says in my ear "I will admit I am not usually one for scary gruesome things but I will make an exception for Halloween with my peeps." I smile and say "well I'm glad you're here! There are some snacks on the island!" Penelope smiles giddily "I brought some snacks, too, and a bottle of wine!" I shake my head and roll my eyes "the last time I drank with you they called Spencer to pick me up and I'll never hear the end of it from him or any of the girls." Derek laughs loudly "I didn't know about that, you're never going to hear the end of it from me either." I chuckle "oh lord. Let me go see if Spencer's ready he was changing into his costume when y'all knocked." They nod in understanding as they gravitate towards the kitchen. I go back to the bedroom and knock lightly before opening the door and stepping in, closing it behind me. Spencer is in navy blue scrubs with his white jacket and stethoscope and he's wearing his converse with the costume. He looks adorable. I bite my lip as I walk over to him "now I understand what you mean about the scrubs, Doctor Reid." He smiles at me and says "I approve of your choice of costume, who's here?" I smile "Pen and Derek." He chuckles "I love how we go by last names but you get away with almost all first names." I sigh and smile "I guess I'm just adorable like that, now come on doc let's go talk to our guests." Spencer chuckles and follows me out to the kitchen. Derek let's out a low whistle at the sight of Spencer "look at you my man, you're Dr. Reid, ha I get it!" Penelope gushes "you look like you should be on Grey's Anatomy, I love it!" Derek didn't dress up for Halloween and Garcia chose to dress like a bubblegum machine. She has on a red skirt with a shirt that has multicolored cotton balls glued all over it. I chuckle and say "we are definitely not as creative as your costume Penelope!" She smiles "oh this old thing? I just pulled it out of the closet." I raise an eyebrow "you just had a homemade gum ball machine costume laying around?" She proudly smiles "I honestly don't remember why I had it but I'm sure alcohol was involved." Spencer rolls his eyes "imagine that." Just then there's another knock on the door. I open the door to JJ and Will with Henry dressed in a lion sleeper and Hotch with Jack who is dressed like a pirate. I get so excited to see them "hey guys you ready to have some fun? Jack your pirate costume is so awesome!" I lead them in the door and shut it behind them. Jack gets excited and says "Annie! I got SO MUCH candy trick or treating!" I smile at him as I crouch down to talk to him and fake whisper "you better not let uncle Spencer see it because he may steal all your candy from you." Jack clutches tightly to his pumpkin bucket and I hear Spencer yell "I heard that!" I look at JJ "he's a genius with supersonic hearing, too, huh?" JJ laughs "hey sorry we didn't dress up, Henry was a lot today." Hotch also adds "I just didn't have the energy to dress myself up after getting Jack dressed up and taking him around trick or treating." I smile and shake my head "it's no big deal we just want everybody to have fun and be comfortable." They all put any extra dishes they brought with them on the island and mingle with each other with the Halloween music playing in the background. There's another knock at the door and in comes Emily in leather pants and a black shirt with her normal high heeled boots I look at her and ask "and what is your costume?" She chuckles "uh a woman who is going out to the bar after this and didn't want to have to go home and change." I chuckle "fair enough, come on in! There's food in the kitchen." Emily says "oh yeah I brought tequila," as she pulls a whole bottle of tequila out of her purse I chuckle and say "I guess you're Mary Poppins for Halloween with your magic bag." Emily laughs at my joke as we walk in to the apartment. Jack comes over to me as I walk back over and puts his arms up for me to pick him up. I pick him up "hey, buddy, what's going on?" He looks genuinely terrified as he looks around the room. He looks around and whispers in my ear "is uncle Spencer going to give me a shot?" I laugh at his question "no, Jack, uncle Spencer isn't going to give you a shot. He is just pretending to be a doctor tonight like you're pretending to be a pirate." Jack nods his head but still looks wary over Spencer. Spencer is catching all of this from across the room and is very confused. He makes his way over to us and Jack clings to me for his life. Spencer says "hey, Jack, what's happening over here?" He gives me a confused look as Jack buries his head in my neck in fear. I mouth the word "shot" and pinch his arm for effect. Spencer nods in understanding before saying "Jack I'm not going to give you a shot, but I could listen to your heart beat with my stethoscope, do you want to hear?" Jack nods his head "my dads new friend LeeLee does that when she comes over." Spencer and I look at each other in confusion "LeeLee?" Hotch over hears and comes over "okay that's enough Jack, let's give Miss Annie and Uncle Spencer a chance to talk to some of the grownups, hmm?" Spencer looks at Hotch with suspicion but ultimately drops the subject, for now anyway. I hear a knock on the door and go to open it and in comes Rossi with a bottle of scotch and a big bowl of pasta. "What are you for halloween, Dave?" He smiles "Italian," and makes his way over to the kitchen with everybody else as I roll my eyes at the statement. He talks about being Italian all the time. Henry starts being fussy and I take my cue to give JJ and Will a break. I look at JJ and Derek "there are Jell-O shots in the fridge, the ones on the door are non alcoholic so give those to Jack and to Henry if Henry can have jello. I wouldn't call them 'shots' in front of Jack because he's already afraid Spencer is going to give him a shot." They chuckle and acknowledge what I said and go to the fridge for the "jello cups." Spencer is especially excited about the Jell-O shots because he's just a jello fiend. Spencer is in charge of the Jell-O shots and making sure that the alcoholic and non alcoholic ones stay separated for the kids. I take Henry and walk him back to my bedroom where it isn't as loud so he can calm down for a second. I made eye contact with Spence and nodded my head towards the room and he nodded his head and gave me a thumbs up. So I guess that means he understands what I was trying to tell him. I take Henry and sit down on the bed before sitting him down in front of me. He's old enough to sit up on his own and crawl around. I just have to be careful and make sure he doesn't tumble off the bed. He seems to have calmed down and I decide to play with him a bit. I gently take his little roly poly arms and start clapping his hands and singing the patty cake song. Babies always love this, especially the "roll em up," part. Henry is giggling loudly at my silliness and I smile and laugh with him, which only makes him laugh harder. We play for a while and after so long he starts to become sleepy and so do I. I rock him for a while and walk back and forth across the room. Eventually he falls asleep and I lay down in the middle of the bed. I didn't mean to fall asleep, but I wake up to Spencer gently shaking me by my shoulder. He looks at me happily and quietly says "hey, you guys have a nice nap?" I nod my head and whisper "how long have I been out?" He smiles and shakes his head "you've only been gone for about thirty minutes, I just came back to check in on you. This party really wore you out, huh?" I smile and say "I did a lot of cooking and decorating. I'm also still exhausted from your birthday." Spencer chuckles "from the party or the extracurricular activities?" I laugh "probably both." He smiles and shakes his head "well now it's my turn for some Henry time, gimme." I smile and try to slowly and gently sit up and give Henry to Spencer. He happily takes the sleeping baby from my arms and holds Henry gently against his chest. Henry nuzzles in to Spencer's chest in his sleep while Spencer looks down at him with a loving gaze. I look at Spencer and ask in a whisper "sometimes when I look at Henry and Jack I think I actually wish that pregnancy scare wasn't a scare at all." Spencer gives me a small smile and sighs "sometimes I feel the same way, honestly, but I do think it's best that we have some time together just two of us before we introduce a baby into the dynamic." I look at him "you mean the three of us?" Spencer furrows his brow "three of us?" I chuckle "you forgot about Ryder, you walnut." Spencer laughs heartily "oh I'm a walnut now?" I shush him and tell him not to wake Henry. I grab his hand and lead him back out to everybody else and Spencer hands sleeping Henry off to JJ for a bit. Jack runs up to me "Annie what color is my tongue?" I look and laugh as I say "it's purple!" He is shocked "it should be blue!" Spencer steps in and says "well, Jack, what color jello cup did you eat before the blue one?" Jack thinks for a second before saying "a red one!" Spencer goes off on a tangent with Jack explaining how primary colors work and mix together. While Spencer is rambling, in the cute way he always does, Morgan walks up to me and stands next to me before saying "you guys are great with the kids. Have y'all talked about the possibility of having any?" I chuckle a bit uncomfortably "um yes we have talked about the possibility." Morgan cocks an eyebrow at me "that was a very vague response. You also just repeated the question, you didn't add to it." I chuckle nervously again "Derek, I just don't want to discuss the details of my relationship with my boyfriend with his coworkers. Especially without him present." Just then Spencer turns around "what about your boyfriend?" I look at him incredulously "have you always had supernatural hearing powers, or is it only on Halloween?" Spencer laughs "you'll never know," kisses me on the cheek and says "now what about your boyfriend?" I say "oh, Derek was just asking if we've discussed the possibility of having kids yet and I told him I shouldn't talk to him about that without you here." Spencer gives Morgan a look and Morgan throws his hands up in defeat "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Y'all are just so good with the kids I want to know when we will have some more kids running around here!" I chuckle and shake my head "well my IUD says not for another three years. Does that answer your question?" Derek chuckles and says "yep, yep it does. That's all I wanted to know." I hum and say "well after that awkward conversation, what do y'all say we get everybody together for a game, hmm?" Henry is asleep in JJ's arms as she's leaned back in the big chair in the corner where Ryder likes to sleep sometimes. Jack is asleep in the guest room, having fallen asleep an hour or so before on the couch. Hotch moved him with my permission so the adults could get situated in the living room. After everybody is situated I say "hey guys so I was thinking we could just play truth or dare or I could try to find a Halloween game on Pinterest. I was going to see if y'all wanted to do a drinking game but with the kids that's probably not a good idea." I hear Emily laugh "I'm down for truth or dare." She shares a knowing look with JJ and Penelope and I also see panic flash through Spencer's eyes. He turns to me and says "maybe we shouldn't play truth or dare, baby." I give him a confused look "why?" He chuckles nervously "these girls are FBI interrogators and you're volunteering to be interrogated by them by playing truth or dare." I nod but don't want to back down from the challenge. I then say "how about everybody gets like three skips, no questions asked?" I look at Spencer and he still looks reluctant but gives in. I then say "who wants to start?" Emily volunteers, unsurprisingly. She looks at me "Annie, truth or dare?" I think to myself that I don't really have anything to hide so I answer "truth." Emily smiles her gorgeous smile and asks "what's your body count?" I am a bit surprised we went so quick but I ask "like people I've slept with or people I've-I've killed?" Emily chuckles "slept with." I look at Spencer briefly and he squeezed my hand as if to tell me it's okay to answer. I take a deep breath and say "1." Everybody looks surprised except for Derek. All the girls start asking questions and I say "I will not answer your questions unless they are a truth or dare question until the game is over, thank you." It's my turn to ask. I turn to Derek "Derek, truth or dare?" Derek says "dare." I chuckle "I dare you to call the last girl you slept with and ask her if she's doing anything for halloween." He nods his head in shock "alright." He pulls out his phone and puts it on speaker after dialing. The line rings 5 times before somebody picks up "Derek?" a girl on the line asks. Derek says "hey, baby, I was just wondering if you were doing anything tonight for Halloween?" She scoffs loudly on the other end "you kick me out in the middle of the night after sleeping with me and then call me for a booty call a week later on Halloween? Really? Are you fucking kidding me right now?" Derek says "so I take that as a no?" She scoffs again "Never again. Lose my number." and she hangs up. After we hear the tell tale 3 beeps of the call ending, JJ goes "you kicked her out in the middle of the night?" Derek holds his hands up "we got called to go on a case the middle of the night and she didn't believe me." Emily says "we didn't get called in the middle of the night for a case last week." Derek says "okay fine she shouldn't have believed me but still." Everybody laughs at his honest statement. Derek looks at me and says "Annie, truth or dare?" I shake my head and say "truth." Derek nods "is pretty boy here the only notch in your bedpost?" Spencer squeezes my hand again and I say "yes, he is." Derek already knew this but I guess he just wanted everybody else to know. I turn to Aaron "Aaron, truth or dare?" He looks at me quizzically after just seeing my dare to Morgan and says "truth." I smile "when was the last time you had sex?" If they're going to ask me uncomfortable questions I'm going to ask them uncomfortable questions. Hotch looks between everybody for a second, I think pondering whether or not he is going to use a skip and he ultimately admits defeat "this morning." Everybody is in shock as Rossi just sits in the corner sipping his scotch, amused at the drama unfolding before him. Hotch looks at Spencer "Spencer, truth or dare?" Spencer gulps next to me "truth?" He says with a questioning inflection. Hotch nods "When was the last time you had sex?" I squeeze Spencer's hand, he says "Wednesday." Derek chuckles and I want to defend Spencer and tell them it was because Wednesday was so good I needed time to recuperate, but Spencer didn't care. Spencer asks JJ "truth or dare, JJ?" JJ looks at the sleeping baby in her arms and decides "truth." Spencer asks her "Would you ever want to have another baby?" JJ nods "yes, someday, but not for another year or two." JJ asks Penelope "truth or dare?" Pen says "dare!" JJ laughs "I dare you to text Kevin an eggplant emoji and tell us what he says." Penelope giggles "ooh spicy okay," she texts Kevin and within thirty seconds she gets a response. She laughs "he sent me the eyes emoji and then asked if he should come over." JJ laughs "that part is up to you, not us." Penelope giggles as she continues texting Kevin in secret. Penelope looks at me and says "Annie, truth or dare?" I roll my eyes "truth." Pen asks "how many times have you done it in one day?" I look at her and ask "do you mean only have sex or does that include other things?" Spencer's eyes go wide. Pen laughs and says "well let me rephrase the question I guess, how many times have you orgasmed in one day at the hands of boy wonder here?" Spencer sits up "why don't you tell them, Annie? This game was your idea after all." Everybody is so intrigued and nearly sitting on the edge of their seat. I look down, embarrassed, and whisper quietly "7." Morgan asks "what was that?" I answer louder "7!" Everybody looks shocked and impressed at the same time, praising Spencer. I stand up quickly and say "well I think that was enough of that game, I learned my lesson," and go to the kitchen to start cleaning up. I hear hushed whispers from the living room but only one pair of footsteps follows me. I say "Spence I really don't want to talk about this right now." I turn around and see it's JJ with Henry and not Spence. I look at her and say "I'm sorry, JJ, I thought you were Spencer." She nods and says "don't be mad at him, the team often treats him like the baby of the BAU so they're shocked to hear he's so um...experienced? I guess that's the word." I nod "I get that, I'm just embarrassed I guess. I feel pretty exposed." JJ laughs "listen all the girls are jealous of you and all the men are about to ask Spencer for tips probably, don't be embarrassed. You should, however, milk this for what it's worth and see what you can get out of him for it." I chuckle and nod. She gives me a side hug and says "don't worry about it seriously, we don't think less of you, if anything we think more of you." I smile and thank her. I go out into the living area as everybody is about to start making their exits as it's nearly midnight. I tell everybody "don't forget to take your food home that you brought and if you would like to make a plate to go for later you're all welcome to do that." They help me pack up the kitchen and say their goodbyes. It's not awkward anymore now that I've started acting normal again. I'm still mortified and angry with Spencer for putting me on the spot like that. Everybody thanks us for a fun night and says their goodbyes and leaves. As soon as I shut the door and lock it after the last person has left, I turn and look at Spencer and for the first time he looks scared of me. I say "you're sleeping on the couch. Or in the guest room. Or at your own apartment for all I care. All I know right now is that you're not sleeping with me." He looks genuinely surprised and says "baby, wait," I don't stay to hear what he has to say and stalk past him and go with Ryder to my bedroom and slam and lock my bedroom door behind me.
