Chapter 18: The talk

I knew there was something she wanted to talk to me about. Well here we go.

"Ok what is it?" he asked sitting up to make room for his mother on the sofa.

"Well um...this is so much harder than I thought it would be" she said not quite knowing what to say.

"Mom sit down" Deku said patting the space next to him inviting her to take a seat.

"Thank you Izuku" she said sitting down next to him.

She seems to be hiding something in her hands but what is it? It looks like a box of something.

"Mom what is it?" he asked trying to convince her to talk but he didn't want to ask her about what she was holding in case she got too nervous and decided not to tell him.

"I'll be honest Izuku I hoped this day would never come but it has so just give me a minute to collect myself we have to have this conversation for both your sakes whether I want to or not" she explained trying to compose herself and pluck up the courage to talk about such a sensitive topic.

"Both of who's sakes mom?" he asked confused.

"You and Ochako" she said. Deku sat and thought for a moment wondering where she could possibly be going with this conversation.

"I want you to take these" she said handing him the box. She'd handed it to him backwards so he didn't know what they were but he gave the box a small shake and heard rattling as he did.

So whatever is in there is fairly small and there's quite a lot of them but what the hell are they. I'm so scared to find out I don't want to turn the box around and see what the front says they are.

"Mom what's in here?" he asked not wanting to look. He didn't know why he so nervous all he knew is he wasn't going to like the answer.

"Condoms" she said not daring to look at her son.

"AAHH!" he jumped throwing the box across the room. His face was unbelievably red and he was now very uncomfortable. Somehow his mother didn't seem uncomfortable or bothered at all.

"Well that was rude they were for you" she said still not looking at him.

"Mom...why on earth would you give me condoms?" he asked.

"Izuku look. You might be denying it because having a girlfriend is very new to you. You might not even be thinking about it yet but the fact of the matter is you're 16. Now I know you're not stupid but sometimes boys get certain....urges" she explained not wanting to look at him at any point.

"Mom what are you talking about? Denying what? Not thinking about what? And what urges?" he asked pretty sure he knew the answer to every question but he just didn't want to be right.

"You know. You must've masturbated at least once at your age" she said. He almost fainted hearing it come out of her mouth.

"MOM!...I...I don't...I've never... I..." he couldn't deny it. Mainly because it was true he had.

"That's a yes" she said chuckling a little at his embarrassment and inability to deny her suspicions.

"...yes I've masturbated before. Are we done now can I go to sleep this is really embarrassing and I don't want to talk about this stuff" he pleaded with his mother.

"No we're not done and I don't want to talk about it either but I would be neglecting my responsibilities as a mother if we don't talk about this" she said.

"Mom please I'm really tired" he begged.

"Fine I'll cut straight to the chase. Are you and Ochako having sex?" she asked finally looking at her son. Deku froze hearing the question.

I have to say something otherwise she's going to think we are.

"No!...no mom me and Uraraka are not having sex" he said composing himself so he looked believable.

"For heaven's sake Izuku call her by her first name she's your girlfriend for crying out loud" she said.

"Sorry it's a habit" he said scratching his head.

"Anyway that's fine if you're not having sex yet" she said.

"Yet?" Deku asked.

"Oh you really are so naïve sometimes. Yes Deku you're not having sex yet but you will at some point" she explained.

"What? No of course not. Why would we-" he began but his mother cut him off.

"Izuku. You're both 16. That means you are of legal age to have sex. You both live in the same dorm at school so you're around each other constantly. I know you're already at the kissing stage since All Might told me about your on stage kiss at karaoke. So I would hazard a guess that you've made out at least once too but eventually Izuku making out isn't enough and both of you will want more than that especially considering you see each other every single day at school so kissing is going to get boring very quickly and you're both going to want more. You might not even go to sex straight away you might ease into it gradually which is fine you should both go at a pace you're comfortable with but the point is at some point yes you're going to want to have sex with each other" she explained staring at her son who get redder in the face with every word she said and he winced a little every time she said the word sex.

"Mom I...I...I'm not planning on-" he tried to talk again but again his mother stopped him.

"What you're planning on doesn't matter. You aren't exactly an average 16 year old boy Izuku you're a UA High student with a very powerful quirk and I know I'm biased as your mother but I think you happen to be a very handsome young man who just so happens to have an extremely muscular and toned body" she said. Deku couldn't speak he was completely in shock.

"Now I don't know if you know this but a lot of straight women find a guy with muscles like yours very attractive. That's one of the reasons why All Might is so popular too" she explained.

"But I'm not exactly the only guy in our class with a body like this I think most of if not all of the guys in our class have bodies like mine and some of them are even more muscular than I am. Everyone except Mineta anyway" he replied not seeing why his figure was so important.

"It doesn't matter about the other boys Izuku. The point is she chose you. You and only you. I can tell she loves you just as much as I do albeit in a very different way but that's still saying something young man so she's not bothered or even remotely interested how good looking the other boys in your class are or any other boys for that matter. The point is she loves you and she finds you attractive which includes your muscles they're probably a big turn on for her" she said on auto pilot mode at this point not thinking just speaking.

"Mom please don't say things like that" Deku said uncomfortable with how she was talking about him and his girlfriend.

"I'm serious. Your body is more than likely a huge turn on for her. I can imagine her figure is a big turn on for you too isn't it?" She asked. Deku started wailing his arms in the air in protest as he tried to deny it.

"What? No? what are you saying of course not" he lied poorly.

"Izuku I'm not an idiot she is a very attractive young girl and she's not exactly lacking in certain departments if you catch my meaning" she said still not thinking.

"Mom please listen to what you are saying" he begged her not liking the way she was talking about his girlfriend's figure. 

She's not wrong though. Urar-...Ochako is very good looking and her figure is kind of...sexy thinking about it.

Deku thought back to the morning when he'd seen her in nothing but her underwear. He'd never admit it to her but he really did enjoy seeing her like that. She had looked amazing stood in the middle of her room with just a bra and pants on and if he was being honest he got a lot more excited than he let on he was just thankful she never looked down to see how much he'd enjoyed the experience.

Is that why I was so ok with getting changed in front of her. I wanted her to see me that way didn't I? And when we made out I didn't ever want her to stop. I can remember wishing she was still in her underwear too. Oh god am I really this perverted?

"No you're not Izuku" his mother said. Deku looked at her for a moment confused. No he wasn't what? Although he quickly realised he had said all of that out loud. No wonder she wasn't making eye contact with him.

"Oh I'm so sorry you weren't supposed to hear that" he said.

"No it's ok I'm glad I did because it seems like I need to teach you something very important" she said plucking up the courage to look her son in the eye.

"What is it?" he asked.

"You're not a pervert because you wanted to be intimate with a woman. You're not even a pervert if you want to try some more advanced or kinky stuff with a woman either. It's perfectly ok and normal to want to do sexual things with a girl Izuku. You just make sure you have her consent first before you do anything and make sure you are safe when you do so. Use a condom or check if she's taking birth control pills but I'd use the condoms anyway for good measure. I don't want you coming home and telling me you've got a girl pregnant at 16" she explained her expression becoming more threatening and intense for that last part.

"Of course not mom I wouldn't dream of it" he promised.

"Good. Ok. I imagine you have a lot of questions" she said offering him a chance to ask about anything he was unsure about.

"How do I know for sure if I have her consent?" he asked.

"Well she might outright say it to you that she wants to have sex or something else but it she doesn't you could ask if you really want to be sure. However if she's doing all the same things you are like kissing or touching you in sexual places or taking her clothes off or even yours you can make a pretty safe assumption that you have her consent. Although if she tells you to stop or says she doesn't want to do something you listen to her and stop immediately don't betray her trust because if she does ask you to stop she's probably uncomfortable and doesn't want to do it. The same goes for you too if you're uncomfortable or not sure about doing something ask her to stop or say you don't want to do it" she explained as best she could.

"Ok that's a lot to take in but I think I understand all of it. Is it ok to talk about sex with her?" Deku asked not sure if that was an ok conversation to have with his girlfriend.

"Yes absolutely it's perfectly normal. Talking about it often helps to improve it too so it's a good thing to do anyway as you'll find you begin to understand each other more and have more chemistry so it feels better when you do it. Saying that it's not a performance review Izuku don't be asking her for a rating out of 10 or for a list of strengths and weaknesses and things like that you'll put her off and that's not the way to talk about it" she said warning her son not to go into analysis mode like he could do.

"So how should we talk about it?" he asked.

"Let me think. You could simply ask 'how was that?' after you've just had sex. She might say it was good or bad but don't be upset or worried if she said it was bad it's just because you're new to it and you haven't had a lot of experience yet so neither of you really know what you're doing but that's why it's important to talk about it. Talk about which positions felt good and any positions you'd like to try in the future things like that. Talk about your technique as well if she moves in a way that doesn't feel good for you or is uncomfortable or even hurts tell her and encourage her to do the same with you because then you'll learn which movements make each other feel good and which ones don't because trust me both of you will stop doing the bad ones" she said. She was really trying her best to explain this all to her son and encourage him to be safe but also to enjoy it and make it enjoyable not just for him but for her too.

"Well of course we would we don't want to do things that the other person doesn't like" Deku said thinking it was so obvious.

"It's more than that Izuku. You'll find that both of you will get pleasure making the other person feel good. After a while your movements will become second nature and more natural anyway so the more you do it the better it will get but don't think that means you should be doing it every hour of every day" she warned him not wanting her son to creep the poor girl out.

"Of course not I don't think I'd want to do it that often anyway. You said we might gradually build up to sex but what did you mean by that?" he asked curious not knowing what else there was between kissing and sex.

"Well there's other stuff. There's foreplay which is where you use your hands to make each other feel good. There's oral that's where you use your mouth" she said.

"Use them how?" Deku asked still not sure.

"Well um. If you were going to do foreplay for example she would... you know" she trailed off not wanting to say it out loud.

"Yeah I know I knew how it works for the girl doing it to the boy it was the other way around I don't quite understand how it works" he said embarrassed.

"It's ok it's fine not knowing don't feel afraid to ask as long as it's somebody you trust will give you a straight answer. Do you remember in your science lessons and sex education what the different parts of a vagina are?" She asked.

"Yeah I can remember them saying the cliterus is really sensitive and I know where it is I just don't quite understand what I'm supposed to do with it" he said unsure of what he was supposed to do still.

"Well you could rub it. It's sensitive so that'd be enough to start off with. If you were feeling brave you could trace different patterns or shapes as you did it so she got more out of it. The other thing you could do is you could finger her" she explained.

"I knew that one. What do I do for oral then? I get that a girl would put the...the thing in their mouth but what would I do to her?" he asked.

"Same options you could try and get your tongue inside her or you could take the much easier and more effective option of using your tongue on the cliterus" she said.

"That's gross" Deku said not wanting to think about it. Inko couldn't help but laugh.

"Yes I know it seems gross at first but she'll enjoy it if you did it" she said still laughing at her son's innocence.

"Ok I think I'm good I don't have any more questions" he said.

"Ok well if you think of anymore don't feel afraid to ask me I'll try to explain as best as I can. You understand why I had to have this conversation with you don't you?" she asked worried he was upset with her for talking about it.

"Yes I understand you want me to be safe" he said smiling at her.

"Yes but it's important to remember sex is something to enjoy as well despite how serious it can be talking about it. You should be able to feel comfortable and able to enjoy it whenever you do it. Anyway I know this is a lot to take in so I'll let you sleep. I love you Izuku" she said kissing him on the cheek.
